Beautiful place for a picnic with the family and kids. Even has a playground and plenty of parking space. Separate dog area. You can relax and have a good day by walking around or just by sitting and enjoying nature.
While walking you find little exercise areas with visual instructions and benches etc. to be able to do them. Will recommend this place.

Beautiful garden to walk through. As the sun began to set, the sky was painted in a multitude of hues, casting a warm glow over the garden. The golden light illuminated the petals of the roses, making them appear even more beautiful and enchanting. We spent hours exploring the garden, taking photos at every turn and capturing the beauty of the blooming spring flowers. The laughter and joy shared between friends and family added a special touch to the already magical atmosphere of the garden.

Beautiful place to visit any season. Rose Garden is amazing. Spring and autumn seasons are the best. Very clean, very refreshing, a lot of trails to enjoy nature, and I am using canal for paddleboarding. Very friendly stuff and very tremendous work to keep this park the way it is.

Nice and clean park with some many things to do and see. Love their rose garden and sensory garden. The perennial garden is such a nice atmosphere. It's definitely a nice park to take a walk and just be at peace with nature.

This park is amazing! Its huge, fist of all. So much space for picnics, sports (whole fields), nature and hiking, a really cool playground, a spray park, paddle boats, mini golf, and more. This is a great place to bring the family or visiting friends and a great place for kids of all ages.

I visited the Colonial Park in Franklin Township Somerset on Memorial Day and had a great time grilling food there.

The park is very clean, green, and well maintained. There are a lot of trees and a huge play area for kids. There is also a tennis court for those who want to play some sports.

The park has public grills that are easy to use and convenient. I enjoyed grilling some delicious food and having a picnic with my family.

The park is also very beautiful and peaceful. There are places to sit in quiet areas for couples who want to spend some quality intimate time.

The park is a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. I love this park and I will definitely come back again.

Colonial Park in New Jersey is an amazing place to spend a day.

The park offers a great variety of activities, from an outdoor pool and mini golf to a playground and a lovely nature trail.

The trails are great for a walk or just to sit and relax or have a picnic. The amenities of the park are shine and inviting.

The staff is friendly and accommodating, and they work hard to keep the park clean and well-maintained.

I highly recommend Colonial Park if you are in the area and looking for a fun, vibrant outdoor space to explore.

It's very good place to visit with family, friends or kids. Very well maintained and clean. Park has lots of activities options like walk 🚶 , bicycle 🚲, kids 🧒 playground. Landscaping 🏝 is well designed with green plants, tree🎄 and lots colorful flowers 💐. It's very convenient to drive and lots of parking 🅿 spots are available. They have more space for small family picnic. I highly recommend this place for fun.

Great place. At first it didnt seem like it was too special. We parked in lot c and then walked towards the entrance along the ponds edge. We crossed the street and found the rose garden, sensory garden, and shrub garden, and thats what elevated the park from average to above average

Nice place to spend a day in peace and a good breeze.
Ensure the weather is good and sunny. A cold day can ruin the experience.

Park has a Rose garden - beautiful and relaxing; but I usually take my baby to playground that perfect for kids 1 to 10. But every day at 11 am adult day care for people with disabilities start to bring they residents to this playground. During winter month it was only about 20 adults, but now they caming by 3 buses and playground and swings ocupaid by them. People are big and heavy for that

I love this park. There's lots of different sections to explore. I especially like the arboretum. I sit by the pond and just chill most times though. There's a section for kids, tennis courts and some nature trails

Went in late Sept. and even then, there were alot of Rose's still in bloom. Beautifully maintained and an amazing variety of Rose's as well as other plantings. We've been regular visitors for years and it never disappoints. Heads up, if you go on the weekends, especially on a Saturday, be prepared to see A LOT of wedding parties there for pictures. We were there for about an hour and 1/2 and saw 5!

I used to visit this park all the time when I was younger. I am talking about 40 years ago. So, today when I visited the park I was amazed at how it changed since that time. Back then it was a nice park with paddle boats, several ponds and picnic areas.

Now the park is so much nicer! They still have paddle boats but, also paddle ducks! The picnic areas are plentiful and beautiful. Great walking paths and trails too. The trees have matured and offer plenty of shady areas. It has a gorgeous Garden area and beautiful rose. The grass was well kept and especially in the garden area.

Lovely tennis area and beautiful views all over including views to the adjacent golf course. I could go on and on. The bottom line is that this is a top notch park offering something for every Park goer.

What a great park. The flower garden is stunning. The Gardner educated us on caring for the plants. He's well informed and very personable. Besides the ducks, we were privileged to see a snake and turtles.
