absolutely love this place! I've been here 3x now and every time is better than the last. the food is incredible, the service is always 10/10 and the atmosphere is so chill. we never feel rushed. we can relax after a long day of driving or doctors appointments. it holds a special place in our hearts, even though we've only been there a few times, it's become a special place.

Restaurant has a modern building and attached restored 1927 dining car of the Jersey Central Blue Comet train.

The two of us ordered a Quiche Lorraine with Greek Salad and a Fish ‘n C Chips plus Manhattan Clam Chowder. Both were outstanding and reasonable. Raj entree was under $14 per person without drinks.

Been a few years since I have been back to the Clinton Station Diner. Make sure u come with an empty stomach. The portions are filling. They have a bar also which....BOOM...adds an additional star in my book. Recommend having the French Onion soup.

On Sunday I had the pleasure of attending the Clinton Station Diner. For starters, I had been visiting this diner since I was young, so this has been one that I have been around for a long time. Especially with the train car. Something like that is not going to keep me away from the diner, or keep me from sitting in the train car itself, which belonged to the Blue Commet. Upon arriving I was able to bask in a diner that was established around 2004, and that was celebrating its 20th anniversary. Something cool to experience while I was there. The mix between a diner and restaurant atmosphere made the place feel much larger then it actually was, but also welcoming. As there was a lot of aspects to take in. Whether it be the food, wall decorations, seating, or the actual train car, nothing there would leave you unimpressed. Within a minute, my family and myself were lead to our seats and minutes later our drinks were taken and brought to us. Considering that we arrived around 6, the diner itself wasn't too busy. So our service by the staff was pretty quick. Soon, we ordered all of our meals. I head gotten a Texas Grilled Chicken Sandwich. 15 minutes later, the meals arrived. Let's just say I could barely keep the sandwich together. But that was good, it meant that it was no flimsy sandwich, but a packed sandwich filled with flavor. Each bite involved a crunch of the bread, and the flow of flavors from the chicken, bacon, and bbq sauce. All flavors and the stacked sandwich soon filled me. Where I had to take the rest of it home. In total, for four people,  it was about $100, reasonable for the type of diner it was. I would recommend it to anybody that would like to eat on a train car. It is well worth it, and you never leave hungry.

Was just stopping for a place to eat on a road trip not expecting much. The train is a really cool place to eat. The menu is really extensive with wide variety of selections. I absolutely loved the patty melt and had been looking for one that tasted as good from another restaurant. This one surpassed it by far. Service was really friendly. Even went out of our way on our vacation to come back again becuase we loved the food so much. Thank you and would highly recommend coming here. We will hopefully be back soon!

Clinton Station Diner is known for its freshly brewed coffee. They even have a page on their website dedicated to their coffee, where they talk about their sourcing and brewing process.

The diner is open 24/7 and is a popular spot for locals and travelers alike. In addition to their coffee, they also have a wide variety of other menu items, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.

If you're ever in the Clinton area, I highly recommend checking out the Clinton Station Diner. You won't be disappointed!

I absolutely love coming here. The service staff really makes all the difference. Sat down late into the night at the entry bar and Danielle was an absolute 💎 always attentive, helped me modify my meal so I got exactly what I wanted, went above and beyond. I didn't get the name of the gentleman that made my specialty coffees but he's a wizard and a Saint. They were phenomenal. The staff was stupendous. And the experience was exquisite.

We stopped by this diner and sat in the room that's converted from a train car. The menu was a book. It had everything you can think of! The food was delicious, the service was great. We enjoyed our time at this diner!

My husband and I ate here Sunday. what a unique place including the train car.

We had lunch there after shopping on our way back to Pa. love diners in NJ.

My husband had the Reuben with the luscious corned beef and fries. he loved his meal. very tasty.

I had the pastrami on rye with fries. the sandwich was hot and had the Swiss cheese also. the pastrami was grilled and I enjoyed it We've been past the diner several times and had time to eat. good times!

Because it's a diner doesn't mean that you can't get excellent food! Yes you can and yes I did! My pork souvlaki wrap was flavorful and the fries are handcut! Love dining in railroad car because it's just so quaint! The service is right on point. I forgot the server's name but she usually works the overnight shift and she was awesome! The desserts are ridiculous... Sooo good!

This Diner was suggested by a friend.
We were here on July 4th and pleasantly surprised that they were open. The initial draw was the train portion (feel free to ask to sit there). Then you find out about the food challenge, which intrigued my 9YO who's still plotting his team. If you end up in the main dining room it's still a good atmosphere because there are fishtanks (that could stand a cleaning) above the booths. The waitstaff is super friendly especially for 8am on a holiday. The food is plentiful but unfortunately missed the mark and I'm assuming burgers are their thing not breakfast. However, you do get your own carafe of coffee (score). We are plotting a return trip because my son is insisting on bringing his father. This restaurant is an experienced and I'm happy we have added it to our list.

Easy on, easy off the highway. There’s often a short wait for a table, less than 10 min. Usually. Can seat large parties easily. Excellent food, huge portions, great place to stop. You’re going to love it!

You can request to sit inside in a train car if you like. Can be chilly in there however. Kids will love checking it out, even just walking through.

12.8.22 Magnificent good! Ms. Linda was awesome and provided us with great service. We had their ribs and burgers. They were perfectly cooked as we ordered. Very tasty and the french fries were on point. We had to take their famous cheesecake to go and it's amazing! Definitely stop by and enjoy not only amazing food but a great experience.

As much as I've heard about this diner, I've been wanting to stop here forever. But since I drive a truck, you obviously cannot get the truck and trailer into the parking lot. I had the good fortune to be bobtailing (no trailer) the other day and decided to stop in for breakfast. It was definitely worthy of the hype. The food was delicious, the service was great and the whole diner was kept very clean. Will definitely be sure to get back and try some of their other menu options.

Only complaint I have is the bread on my cheese steak split apart. But this place had the best service I’ve had in a very long time. Our server unfortunately I didn’t get his name but he mentioned he was a school teacher during the week. The environment and staff were very welcoming especially coming off the road from a long drive just wanting to eat later in the evening. Truly a model for those in the service industry. Food was great too. Although a little bit more expensive than normal they make up for it in portion sizes and great taste. I recommend this for anyone needing a quick stop on the road!

Met up with friends for lunch on our way home. This diner was about one third of the way. Very busy but we got to sit in the train car and that made my day right from the start. Food was tasty and delicious. Salads were crisp with lots of veggies in them. Breads and cakes are all homemade and fantastic. We had a variety of dishes including a burger, a spinach omelette, Greek salad and spinach, soup and a chicken panini. Everyone loved what they ordered and took home whatever they couldn't eat. Service was good considering how busy it was at the time. If you're near the area I would recommend that you try the place. If you're daring enough, you can try the house challenge which is a HUGE and I mean HUGE burger! Giant dessert case too! This place is a belly-buster for sure! LOVED IT!

Clinton station diner is a unique place to eat just off of route 78. The food is good and plentiful and reasonably priced. The salad bar is fantastic. My favorite foods are the Greek selections: spanakopita and moussaka. Both authentically Greek and delicious. We ate in the train car from the 1920s. Quite a unique experience. Of course you can be seated in the ample restaurant area if you so desire. There is a full bar and the menu is extensive.

You all know that you pass the place on your way to and from NYC. We have driven past here hundreds of times and always wondered if it was open or what it was, tonight we found out. A true dinner that has a menu like a book. Everything was so good and fresh. I had the Cuban hamburger w/fries, wife got her normal gyro, and the brat got chicken fingers. While the fries were good I wish they had been hotter, other than that everything was perfect.

The place was nice, and the clean it was not crowded we came early in the morning server took care of us right away. The food was really good, and it was definitely a nice spot for breakfast. They had a bakery side with good options to take home.
