ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!!!

Bought a pair of used tires as a “hold me over” for a few months and they were in excellent shape.

My particular size tire is very difficult to locate in the used market and tend to cost a little more than average, and they still delivered an excellent used product and the price was incredibly kind to my wallet.

Somewhere between the shop, and my home, which is less than 10 miles away, one of the tires went down, and it turned out to be a repairable flat. They fixed it for me free of charge.

Mr. Jake even called me personally after the tire repair to check up on the tire. This level of proactive customer service and follow up is largely absent in today’s marketplace. I would give a 10 star rating if I were allowed to just on the follow-up phone call alone.

Please note: despite the possibility that I could have incurred the puncture on the way home, they still fixed it for free when they did not have to.

These folks can be trusted and urge you to give them a shot if you’ve never dealt with them before. I have a funny feeling you wouldn’t go anywhere else once you’ve been here.

I am actually writing this from the middle of my first experience with Freedman. I spoke to Jacob early this morning about an issue with a CEL after the dealer did warranty work on my Cat and O2 sensors. He accommodated me and has been very up front and honest with me about everything. Regardless of today’s outcome, I will be using Freedman going forward.

I have had repairs regarding plugs, breaks, and an oil change. Every time things work well and at a great price/quality. I haven’t taken my car to another place in the Edison/New Brunswick area since I have been here. Jake is great!

Drove from Kentucky to New Brunswick NJ and had transmission problems when we arrived. Called Freedmans the next morning and they got us in and fixed in 2 hours, Easter weekend as well! Wonderful service, phenomenal price and the nicest people. They even called to make sure we made it back to Kentucky! I highly recommend them for automotive services. They went above and beyond for us and I'm so thankful to them!

Just replaced my 4 wheels with Freedman. Been using them for years without any issues. The staff are very friendly and honest. The service is solid, and they are truly thinking about their customers. My inspection sticker says I am due for an inspection, soon, on the car I bought new 5 years ago. You wont notice this yourself but they reminded me. Also, while waiting, I need to get on two Zoom calls, and they were very kind to let me use one of their small staff rooms to do it without interference. I really appreciate it.

Also overheard while waiting that one of the guys explained to a customer how she still could hold on for a while before replacing the tires as the treads were still good until probably the next visit, so he did not want the customer to spend money to do it now. This shows how they care about their customers rather than just try to upsell or oversell them. Very rare nowadays to have that at some other shops.

Give them a try, totally. Most likely it would be Tony picking up the phone. He is a nice and fun guy to talk to. Five star all around..,,,,,

We traveled from Kentucky Friday (March 29th) as soon as we got into town we started to experience car issues. We called Freedman’s Auto on Saturday and they immediately got us in and took care of the car’s issue! The owner Jacob called me this morning Monday (April 2nd) to make sure we got back to Kentucky alright and made sure we didn’t have any issues. I HIGHLY recommend this shop!!

I had an amazing experience with Freedman auto today! My car brakes went out on my commute to work, they were able to get me in right away and do the work on my car all in one day. Danielle at the front desk was lovely and called me throughout the day with updates. I am so appreciative of Freedman auto, you saved the day today!

Amazing shop! Really I have to say Jay has gone above and beyond. I had some issues with another garage's work, wheel bearings with the ABS sensor improperly installed pinching the wire, which off causing the ABS & TCS lights to appear. Unfortunately that shop was 3.5+hours away. Took it the local DCH dealer and they were telling it the cause was because an CAT error.... :/ and refused to look at wheel unless I replaced the CAT system. After a few hours Freedman found it the issue (wire) and was able to fix it and assisted me in getting reimbursement from the first shop. Jay was calling them directly as well. All in all they ensured that I got my car back before Thanksgiving break.

A short time later I had an electrical issue that I wasn't able to fix, once again they were to come through and solve an issue that was perplexing me and got me back on the road before xmas.
I've already recommended them to people I know and can have been using them for years and yet to have an issue with them. They are honest and fair and really pulled through for me when I needed them.

This place is outstanding! Have been coming here for 20+ years, their work is high quality and on point.

They'll let you know what you need and not push extras. If you have a budget they'll try and get you an economical solution. Clean and comfortable waiting area as well!

On top of it all, they have Road Force Balancing!

This is a great shop! I had a 2014 Mitsubishi that displayed a check engine light. Other shops said it was just a crankshaft sensor. However, Jake at Freedman checked the codes and found it had both sensor problems and a catalytic converter issue. He called and explained that the cc problem along with the sensors would be a $5k repair. Probably exceeding the value of the car. However, before doing any work or ordering parts he checked the web and found that an adjustment of the timing belt would probably cure the proble

I went to Jake needing a complete brake job front and rear plus servicing my rear differential. I was in a financial crunch and he worked with me and the job was done less than 4 hours after dropping the car off. Honest, friendly, dependable mechanics are definitely hard to find. I will trust Freedman for all of my auto needs going forward.

Needed a patch for my semi bald tire and was offered a great deal on used tires that had a lot more tread.

My dad used to bring his car here so I used them to replace my brakes and rotors. Everyone there is super nice and straightforward. No upselling or nonsense you would normally encounter at an auto repair shop. Price was reasonable and they took care of my car SUPER fast. Highly recommend.

**Edit*** still loving Freedman Auto. Speedy repairs and maintenance and their customer service is still stellar. I've been a customer for over 5 years.

The service at this shop is exemplar. The guys provide a detailed explanation of everything that needs to be done. This shop is on a first come first serve basis so I suggest not to come on a busy day. I have been coming to this shop for years. They have worked on my Murano, Rav, Jeep and now Elantra. Their work is honest and won’t make you spend money on fixing unnecessary things. I have been to other shops where they take advantage of women that aren’t knowledgeable in cars and they do not do that here. You can trust them. There is free WiFi available while you wait, coffee, tv, a cell phone charging station, book and magazines to help you kill time.

Jake cares. He takes time with each customer to advise based on their particular situation. The best.

Was stranded on the highway during a Terrible storm and did not have a spare. Tried calling every tire shop in Piscataway, Perth amboy, Edison and Woodbridge. Freedman’s was the only shop around that was able to help. Jake was also generous enough to offer me a deal on two tires, despite the fact that I only had enough for one. Had no idea that my other front tire was also at risk. This could have potentially blown on my way home, which would have landed me in the same situation. I have been dealing with a lot of misfortune this year and started to lost faith in humanity, Freedman’s helped revive my belief that there are still good people in this world. This was Hands down the BEST customer service that I’ve ever received. I live over an hour away from freedman’s but will definitely be returning to give them more business. There are so many shops out there that try to take advantage of customers, Freedman’s was a breath of fresh air. They were all completely transparent and very pleasant to talk to. These guys are not just doing car work, they are also doing God’s work!
