I get takeout frequently since my gym is next door. I usually order beforehand and pick up after my workout on those nights I don’t want to cook.

My usual orders are Chicken Parm, Pasta Bolognese or Chicken Marsala. I also liked their salads, Angel hair in garlic oil, stuffed peppers and Italian cold cut sub (high quality meats.) Their sauce is very good .

They have the best corned beef and cabbage dinner on St Patrick’s Day. The flavors are always in point and the is food has been exceptionally consistent this past year especially. I like their desserts too, awesome cheesecake, tiramisu and big brownies.

Let me tell you, this place is great! Came here with my family today and were greeted by very friendly staff. They had a wedding reception on the second level but the atmosphere was calm, the staff were with it, and all the while chatty and helpful. When we got to our table our waiter came by. I can’t remember his name but he was great! My wife asked him about what local beers they had on tap and he was super knowledgeable even down to the hoppyness of the beers!

The food was excellent too! I had the meatball sub with fries. The roll was crispy on the outside and light a fluffy on the inside. The meatballs were huge and packed with flavor. The fries were crisp and fluffy as well. My wife had the fish sandwich which was ginormous and equally as excellent as my sub. My daughter had the kids fettuccine with red sauce. The sauce was average but the pasta was made fresh and you could taste it!

All in all we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to all my friends!

P.S. For its waterfront location, the price was crazy reasonable. The cheapest high quality food we found on the Cape.

Food is outstanding!!!! And plenty to have more then one meal from each entree they absolutely give you your monies worth! They have indoor and outdoor patio dining. The patio is on the second floor, which is a beautiful look out over the ocean! It’s a must have for dinner for us whenever we go to Plymouth!

The food here is always brought to your table on time and there usually able to get it done without much of a wait. The food quality is very high and tasty and the staff is great as well. I recommend the pizza's as they're very large and they do come out nice and hot and ready to ear. They also have a very tasty pasta sauce which comes rich and flavor for your taste buds.

This establishment presses on even with major construction happening all around it! We were very happy that it was open, it seems like a classic, long-loved, local Italian place! Interior & exterior of building is very nice. Food was great, service was great! 👌✨🥖🍲🥗

Food was delicious and steaming hot. Still saw steam coming from food after placing in to go container, yes it was that much food. Kimberly was very attentive and informative, she sold us on the Seafood Quahog, which was on point. Would love to come back again if I'm ever in Plymouth again. Until then, I'm going to have to head back to Dallas TX and sweat some of this good eating off me.

Let's talk about decisions... (from the perspective of a professional chef). A friend and I came to Plymouth from the outer Cape for a performance at Plymouth Memorial Hall. Traveling for 2+ hours to get to the performance venue, left us no time (nor desire) to eat at home. Not knowing the area very well, I did a google search of "restaurants in the area" - So many wonderful looking establishments with seeming great menus. My date is a little picky, and certainly is not fond of Seafood which eliminated so many options. I therefore refined my search to "Italian restaurants in the area". After carefully perusing each menu, I made a decision that Mamma Mia's would be just right. Although there is an online vehicle for making a reservation - I chose to call the restaurant to secure my seats with a live person. I was concerned that we might arrive late (or early) and wanted to have a clear understanding with the booker. Right from the get go - my experience was super positive. The person with whom I spoke on the phone was not only professional, but also understanding of my concern, and super helpful in making the reservation and assuaging my worry. So - we arrive for dinner (made it on time) - it was the evening of MANY simultaneous events in Plymouth. Lighting of a holiday tree, some kind of running road race and of course, the event at the "Hall". The restaurant was FULL! this made me even more grateful for the phone call and kind help of the restaurant's representative. We were quickly seated, then greeted by a very sweet server Nathalie (I believe), and proceeded to make food selections. Nathalie was very patient - even on a super busy night - with my high maintenance idiosyncratic requests. Service was quick and attentive, yet not overbearing nor fumbling.

And now for the food experience. I had a quick appetizer - the Lobster and Seafood Stuffed Quahog, a (not so) small house salad, and a personal favorite (and my standard to "judge" the integrity of an Italian restaurant). Well - up to this point - I have been a bit effusive and verbose, well now - I'm gonna cut straight to the chase. PHENOMENAL! This food was beyond my belief. I LOVED the Quoahog, The salad was perfect, and the spaghetti and meatballs - well... it's 9 am (the next morning) as I pen this review, and - - - my leftovers have finally come to full temperature - and I'm ready for round 2. Note: I actually put this leftover spaghetti and meatballs in a pan on the stove to reheat - because - I thought this food (as we as I) deserved the best possibly quality return visit. I am ready to eat now, so this review will come to a quick end.

My biggest disappointment is that I live 2 hours from this amazing establishment, and can't repeat this experience more frequently. I have already told two friends about this place ad nauseam to them, i''m sure.

I don't take pictures in restaurants of food or the surroundings because I like to be more present with whomever I am with, that fact does not reflect on my extraordinary satisfaction with Mamma Mia's food and operation. I can't wait for when I can return, but more so - I can't wait to consume my breakfast! Spaghetti & Meatballs, take 2 - here I come!

edit: after reading some other reviews - I'd like to comment on people's comments about the price / value - People - you cannot come to a tourist location where the costs of doing business - and that includes electricity, gas, food, - paying fair wages in an employee's market - where there are more jobs than workers - property taxes - just to name a few - and think that the price will rival your small town restaurant - or even big city restaurant prices. you are comparing apples to watermelons. I'll bet the price at Mamma Mia's is comparable (or even less) than much of it's local competition (just an assumption).

My wife and I had the stuffed mushrooms and seafood stuffed quahog to start, and one of the best pepperoni pizzas I've ever eaten to finish! Great food, great view and great times!

Love this place! The margaritas are amazing, well worth the price. The view is pretty good, too, and it's a fun atmosphere. If you go at dinner time, expect a bit of a wait, and the waiting area is almost non existent, so it can get cramped, but we'll worth the wait. Really good food! The calamari and stuffed mushrooms were very good as was the eggplant Parmesan. The cheesecake was amazing! Also, try the veggie panini, it is pretty tasty!

If I go back to Bar Harbor, I will go to Mamma Mia's. I had their Cheese Ravioli with Alfredo sauce. It was the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had. Amazing!!!
