The Pretentious Pickle

A friend introduced me to the Pretentious Pickle before Christmas 2023... so I placed our first order. Their pickles are simply THE best pickles our family has ever had! (And we are pickle fanatics.) It's hard to know what our most favorites are... we have tried and loved the Dill Pickles, the Sweet as Sofia pickles, the Spicy Sweet as Sofia pickles, and we just recently tried the Dill Dip which is one of the best dips we have ever had. We also ordered a jar of the Candied Jalapeños and cannot wait to try them.
In short, there is nothing that you could order from this wonderful small-business pickle company that would disappoint you. The customer service is impeccable, the pickup in Pembroke is so easy, and the pickles are the best ever. Place your order!

This is one of the best stores I have ever been to! So many pickled products! They have everything from pickles to muffins to pickle popsicles (Which were all super good). We came here look for a small gift for our neighbors who were taking care of our cats, but we found so much more! I highly recommend!

Just AMAZING!! We went to the PineHills Winter Farmers Market. We bought several pickled items. Well....we just loved them all! Can't wait to get more!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The Pretentious Pickle is such a unique store. So many pickled options — eggs, stuffed peppers, mozzarella, carrots, & so much more! You can also find non-pickle items like boozy cocoa bombs, beer bread mix… there’s something for everyone!

Can’t say enough about the owner of this store! She went above and beyond to make my cousins birthday very special today!
I came from the Cape and she came from Boston area and we met up there!

I love small businesses like this. The owner puts her heart and soul into these pickles. There is no pickle shop better than this. The pickles speak for them selves

Was in town to visit some family and was walking around the cute town of Plymouth. Came across this cute shop. They have pickled everything. I walked around the store numerous times finding different things that I should buy and ended up buying some dill pickles. Some pickled beets and some pickled mushrooms. All were fantastic. Also picked-up a t shirt and a baby onesies. Thanks so much!

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. Or in this case Peter Piper picked everything that was pickled. From garlic too hot peppers, from bread and butter pickles to classic, everything here is pickled to perfection. Salad dressing, cotton candy, pretzels and other tasty tidbits all pickled for your pallet. I hear they're bloody Mary mix cells very well also! The staff was friendly and it was a great visit!

It was awesome in Plymouth but they left us so I have to go and see them in Pembroke

Quaint little store with amazing products. The barrel pickles are delicious and the dill pickle lip balm is a staple for me! All of the staff are wonderful and i always leave feeling happy.

Love pickles and love this store. I would travel from Marshfield to Plymouth to go to the Pretentious Pickle. The good news is I am now a Plymouth resident and will be dropping in more often. Peace and pickles to all!

If you are really into pickles, this is the place for you. Also. If you are looking for something pickled besides cucumbers, this is your place.

I have tried many varieties from this location. Everything is delicious. Some things I would have never thought to pickle.

Just made my first stop in yesterday, I can't write well enough about this place. Anyone who loves pickles or just looking for a fun time by the water will love this spot. These snacks are more than just novelty, the Mayflower beer pickles are my personal favorite. It would also be a sin not to mention the absolutely lovely staff that works here, I believe I was served by the owner's daughter and she was one of the kindest people I've spoken to in a month

One of the best experiences I have had!! Great shop, they make you feel at home and they treat my daughter like a princess. Try the pickle pops! There great.

Wonderful owner, Lorraine is one of the sweetest people ever. The pickled beets, the bread and butter pickles, I cant speak highly enough of their service and hospitality. Than you Ill be ordering again of course

I love pickles , good pickles and also love keeping it local as well , the store is amazing it has that country store feel to it definitely and the staff is awesome and extremely friendly and helpful, they have a very large selection and it’s not just pickles either, the giant dill pickles in the barrel are perfect .
