Dicastro's Brick Oven

The experience here is all around sensational. Friendly staff, great pricing, we order a lot (as you will see) just to get a taste of some variety. Full portion sizes with PLENTY to take home afterwards. Comfortable fulsome atmosphere, intentive wait staff (Thanks Lindsey), Loved the decor on the walls & shelves (classic & fun) The huge framed Signed by all the performs of Woodstock 1999 in Rome, NY memorabilia was my favorite. Not to mention how absolutely delicious the food was. Fresh ingredients, burn your tongue hot temperature wise.. (as I call it molten lava) Perfect amount of flavor and spice. Cheese to sauce ratio too. (We ordered: Starters- Hot dipping Oil and the Artichoke Spinach Bread Bowl.. And can i say the AS bread bowl was the best I have had. A small Wood Fire Pizza called the bee sting. If you have never had a pizza with a little honey around the edges, you have no idea what you're missing SERIOUSLY. Two Entrees with a side salads. The honey mustard dressing my favorite kind, was on point. 1st Entree was the Jambalaya pasta. I ordered this one, Which was 1 of the 2 spicy entrees they offer. Love my spicy foods!. I'm a huge fan of Jambalaya anyways so for me it was right up my alley. 2nd was 2lbs of saucy cheesy saucy cheesy.. Lol delicious lasagna. This is where the noodle, sauce, & cheese ratio matters, to much of anyone of them can make or break lasagna. The chef (who even came out to see if we were enjoying our meal) did it perfectly. Congrats! I'm glad we chose to stop at Dicastro's today. I had drove by many times before and it always caught my eye by how well kept it is. The inside is no exception. Very clean. All around experience for me was a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank guys.

Hostesses was great. Got a table right away. Waitress was fantastic and very attentive. Our meals came quickly. Prices were very reasonable for food, appetizers and drinks. Nice decore and everything was very clean. First time there and would certainly go back again. Great place.

We had an event at DiCastro's Too. It was absolutely phenomenal. Lisa was amazing to work with. Staff was great. A highly underutilized gem part of Rome in my opinion!

The restaurant was busy and there was a great atmosphere. It's a classy destination for a date night. My gnocchi were the best I ever had : light and fluffy in a tasty Carbonara sauce.

My wife ordered the broiled Haddock Florentine. It's an option to substitute for any pasta and tonight she chose steamed broccoli.

Food still great. Wife is a fan of the Lobster Mac N Cheese. I enjoyed some Cajun Alfredo - Shrimp which was delicious. Nice change from Riggies.

Chicken Francaise was delicious and perfectly cooked. One of the better ones I have tried in Rome, NY! Tried Orzo with it for the first time but wasn't really a fan. Recommend substituting with another pasta.

Also try the Shrimp Scampi which was very good. I chose Pappardelle which is like a wide egg noodle and went very well with the lemon garlic sauce.

The complimentary hot crusty bread was a satisfying starter.

The restaurant was packed and there was a good atmosphere with great music playing in the background that was loud enough to be enjoyed without ruining conversation.

There is no draft beer here - only bottles but the chilled glasses are always nice.

Don't recommend the Italian egg rolls. Not a great fusion.

This food!!! Perfection! The flavors where amazing! The chicken wasn't dry! And when we asked for light sauce it literally was light! Beautiful amount of cheeses and breading!!

Yummy.

That's it. Just yummy.

But really their portions are massive. Like you can feed a 15 year old boy and have left overs. They also have the largest gluten free menu that I have ever seen. The gluten free pasta is delicious too. I'd love to know where they get it.

Bonus - the pizzas are made in a wood fired brick oven.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the service is top notch. Karrie was our server and she was fabulous! Excellent recommendations and warm personality! The food was amazing and cooked on point! The BEST pork chop I've ever had! Would highly recommend!

Delicious Italian homemade pasta and bread. We had chicken riggies,chicken parmesan, and lasagna- delightful! Add a glass of pinot grigio and it is the perfect meal🥂

First time here. Food was wonderful. Service excellent. Clean. Pricing was good for quality and amount of food. Definitely will be back.

By far my favorite place to eat caw caw! The Bee Sting pizza is something that needs to be tasted in order to understand caw caw.

Only recommendation for them would be to improve the seating as I hate dealing with screaming children. Other than that you guys have the best food around and keep up the good work caw caw!

Food is delicious. Very small portions though. Last time I had chicken piccata and orzo, spent a fortune and was still hungry after lol. My husbands meal was filled to the top, but the orzo was like 1/4 cup and small chicken cutlet. My container wasn’t even half full. No salad was offered or bread either. Homemade pastas and many awesome Italian foods. Service is meh. It’s like 2 hour wait times for pickup, and I’ve never heard of that before. So we often don’t order. That’s insanity, sorry. Just wish they had a few eggless options for pasta as well. Homemade pasta is amazing but loads of people have egg allergies unfortunately.

Excellent food! Just as good as in NYC! The best dinner we had in Central NY. Staff was friendly.

We enjoy the food and the waitresses are very friendly. We have their cheeseburger pizza which is delicious. We've alao had their Tuscan chicken and spinach pizza. Their rice balls are out of this world.

It's a little pricey, but the food is awesome. We keep going back and always order something different. Drinks 🍸 🍹 are not as strong for the price. Stick to beer or soda... Love the food!
