I cannot say enough great things about The Cornerstone Barber Shop.

I started coming here in July 2022. My first haircut by them was my first haircut in over 2 years. I was looking to donate my hair to Children with Hair Loss. Kristen was more than happy to facilitate my needs. During the cut and conversation, I found out that her husband, Joe used to frequently cut my autistic nephew’s hair before he moved out of state. (For those of you who may not be familiar with special needs, anything, including this can be a project requiring the patience of a Saint).

I got married in December 2022 and The Cornerstone Barbershop was able to cut the hair and line up the facial hair of my groomsmen (all of us of different ages, races, and ethnicities), and again, was happily able to slip my nephew in as well. My nephew was so glad to see Joe again, (he will definitely let you know when he likes or dislikes someone).

I have been coming here regularly since then (every 4-6 weeks) and have always been treated professionally and respectfully by Kris, Joe, and Jeanie. I don’t intend on visiting other shops that I used to use for service. I would recommend The Cornerstone Barbershop to anyone.

The Cornerstone Barbershop is the best addition to Pembroke! Kris and Joe are outstanding in their work they have provided to both of my nephews as well as my boyfriend! They are very accommodating with our busy schedules and always welcome us with a big smile and make us feel like family! Kris is amazing with my youngest nephew and very patient! They have toys to entertain the boys while we wait for our appointment, she has so many tricks up her sleeve to entertain the littles during their haircut! We are so blessed to be apart of the warm and inviting community they have created. I recommend them to everyone that I know and am so glad they joined our community!

10 out of 10 would recommend. I’ve been going to this barbershop since they opened, have sat with just about every Barber and absolute perfection. Between Kristen, Joe and Rodrigo, the attention to detail, kindness and accommodation to my crazy work/life schedule has been unbelievable. Very family oriented and just like their name entails; The Barbershop is the cornerstone to the community.

I Cannot recommend them enough!! I have two autistic boys "of color". "Mr Joe" (as my boys call him) is so patient & also understands how to take care of their different hair needs. In fact, my youngest son falls asleep every single time he gets his twists done!! "Miss Kristen" has a heart of gold and it's amazing how she can remember everyone's families and truly cares how they're all doing......that's family ❤!! Love, love, love them!!!

We love Cornerstone Barbershop! Everyone is so friendly. They are always very accommodating and take great pride in their work. Pembroke is lucky to have this supportive, family owned business in our community.

I brought my two yr old today for a birthday haircut. He struggles with haircuts and Ms. Kris could not have been more patient, kind and attentive . We had a great experience and will for sure be back. Super grateful 🙏

I've had my hair cut by almost every barber at cornerstone and I have to say that they have a strong barber team! I have never been disappointed! Great local shop, good quality, and clean cuts all day!

I could not have had a better haircut! I went to see Rodrigo and he was very kind and very social! Rodrigo was attentive to my haircut request and made sure that he got my haircut correct. Throughout my time there, he really was engaged in our conversation and definitely made me laugh. I will absolutely go back and see Rodrigo again!

Top notch service, family run business. I'm always impressed by how well they do with our kids whether they're doing a pumpkin, a flag, or even a dragon design for our boys!

After moving to the south shore I was in and out of barbershops because the stylist kept leaving, or because they wouldn’t respect my appointment time. I switched to cornerstone and I’ve been using Jeannie for the last 18 months and couldn’t be happier. 5 stars for sure!

Driving through town I found this shop, I had attempted to goto 3 others that day but this one was the perfect fit. The space was clean and spacious. The owner Joe was a really nice guy and definitely spent time and energy to build out a space for him and his wife to work and thrive together. My haircut was completed by Jeeny (I'm sure that isn't how you spell it). She was responsive to the information I shared about how I wanted my cut, and she delivered, she made suggestions on how to make the cut fit best for my head and I appreciated the feedback. Our conversation was light and fun, like chatting with an old friend!

Great little spot, cool vibe and a very cool family business. This husband and wife team bring a warm welcoming feel to their shop. I felt like Joe had always been my barber after the first visit. They take the time to get to know you and what you are all about. Old school techniques blend with great talent and tools here. Warm towel, straight razor fade clean lines. Definitely my new barber!

Best barber I've ever been to. Consistently do a great job, especially with all the detail work. They always do great work with the beard as well, trimming and shaping. They're also one of the few places we can take our kids with no fear of some wonky looking cut. Absolutely recommend.

Our new place! The owners got our son in on the fly after his first haircut somewhere else turned out a bit wonky. We immediately felt at home and trusted that they knew what they were doing- even with a squirmy 15 month old. Kristen even gave my 3 y/o daughter a “magic brush” after I told her that she barely lets me brush her hair. The cut turned out great and we are relieved we have a new place to bring our kids!

We have 6 children and at times the wait for a barber is long. Not only can you make timely appointments but they accommodate and make everyone feel as if they were the most important hair cut they've ever done! Their commitment, style and professionalism make this the best place to take your whole family. Our kids range from 2-15 so they were able to handle all of them with such kind grace. Thank you Cornerstone Barber Shop for becoming the "go too" barbershop on the South Shore, we'll be coming over and over again without hesitation!

We just moved to the area, we tried other shops and the boys kept coming back with something else that was not a hair cut. Cornerstone is like NO OTHER. Wife & Husband operation and they take great pride in their business and their craft. Took time to get to know us, gave great advice on the area, talked to the boys to make them feel comfortable. Cultivating a client for life is exactly what is they have done!!
