Wonderful food & service - the owners and staff are outstanding, professional and friendly as can be. They make you feel like you are at home but with five star service. Every item on the menu is fabulous. Try to save room for desert!

Amazingly fancy, elegant and welcoming all at the same time. Rustic / charming / historic location. The regular menu is fantastic and divers - and the specials are memorable. For a normal dinner, or a special event in one of their private rooms - the Chateau offers everything you could want, even rooms for an overnight stay. I have had numerous dinners as a walk in patron, and never been disappointed. I have also been to 3 different private parties - and twice had a privet dinner in the wine cellar. All have been flawlessly executed memorable experiences. DO NOT MISS!

This place is awesome. Went there for dinner last night and the filet mignon, duck, and nasi goreng were absolutely delicious. This place killed it.... wasn't just one good entree but every single one was spot on!! I applaud the chef and the business for holding it down with such good food during times where most restaurants IMO struggle to even have a single decent entree on the menu. I can't wait to go back with even more people to partake in even more food!!! (PS the customer service and wait staff was amazing 😍)

My husband and I had our wedding here. It was magnificently done. The owners are lovely people who do an extraordinary job, the staff is amazing. Since our wedding we have returned several times for dinner. The food and service can not be beat. It seems to get better every time we go. It is our favorite destination for an exquisite meal.

We visited Chateau Hathorn for my birthday in September. I'm hard to please, and I wanted something unique and memorable for dinner - and I got it! We (a family of 4 with kids) came on Thursday night and enjoyed their prix fixed dinner with 3 courses, wine and desert. We came a little early and walked around the mansion a little bit enjoying the views and the air. Inside, we were greeted by the chef's daughter and hostess and seated. Service was a bit slow, but very friendly. We tried a variety of dishes and all were pretty good. The desserts may need to be improved, but overall it was a very nice dinner. But the most memorable moment was when we got to meet the chef himself and the kitchen - we chatted and he also showed us the wine cellar that he built himself - it's an amazing space and they offer private dinners there. There's a lot of charm in this place, coupled with a long family history - and we're happy to have met them. Highly recommend this place and will be back myself.

This estate is a glorious getaway for those interested in great food, great service, and a pleasant stay. My lady and I ordered two dishes from the chefs special (seafood assortment)...it was fresh and handled with care. We had two great 1990’s red wines and enjoyed every sip of them. This is a great weekend historical getaway. You will not be disappointed. Farewell, and till next time - CC Rockefeller.

What an amazing experience. The staff was attentive and engaging. We were given the option of where we would like to sit and chose the alcove so we could enjoy the sunset. It was stunning. The ambiance was an excellent addition to our dining experience. The wine cellar is full of a variety of choices to suit any taste or budget. The food was expertly prepared and presented. We look forward to returning many more times.

This review is about the restaurant, not B&B. The place itself is very beautiful and cozy. It’s an old building with history, with a lot of fireplaces inside,in fall and winter it creates a different atmosphere. The food is delicious, for the first time I’ve tried frog legs and fell in love with it. The menu mostly French, has a good choice of dishes for different taste, seafood, meat, chicken, duck. The staff is very friendly and nice.

Owner Helene and her family have run it like clockwork for decades and are still going strong! If you want your event or vacation to go perfectly, this is the best option around. INCREDIBLE. Old world charm. It's a Bed and Breakfast, you can also have weddings there. Very relaxed, elegant but not pretentious. Just perfect. Food is IMPECCABLE. They have a live grand piano there. We usually go there for foranniversaries. In love with this place.

A hidden gem nestled on gorgeous property in Orange County, NY. My husband & I just tied the knot there this past weekend and it was beyond spectacular! Helene was an absolute joy to work with, always professional and willing to offer her years of experience if needed. Dolph is a rock star of a chef and all of our guests couldn't stop raving about the exceptional food, from the cocktail hour appetizers right thru to our wedding cake. We stayed there for the weekend with out of town friends & family and all the rooms were very nice and spotlessly clean. The entire place is well maintained and very classy; not a "wedding factory" like so many other places and great value for the money. If you want to make your day even more memorable, you can't lose with Chateau Hathorn! A million thanks to Helene, Dolph and the entire staff, who were all just terrific. Well Done!!!!

We had the welcome reception for our wedding here with ~100 people. Have nothing but great things to say about Chateau Hathorn - incredibly beautiful + intimate venue (both indoors/outdoors), a great team that treated us and all our guests like family, and delicious food that impressed a diverse crowd. Helene and her team were amazing with all the small details and made our event significantly less stressful. We also had guests staying in every room throughout the weekend - everyone enjoyed that too...comfortable beds, great water pressure on the showers, and unique furnishing/layouts. Would recommend to anyone looking for a venue for a special occasion.

Excellent formal dining in a historical mansion setting. Good for parties or big events. The food presentation and quality is excellent. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The drink variety is excellent and the wine menu is impressive. Appropriately priced for a dining experience of the more luxurious type.

Friendly staff, great food. You can't beat the atmosphere. Really fast value in the Thurs night special (3 courses and a bottle of wine). Can't wait to go back!
