Wolf It Down BBQ

This place was great! The food was not heavily seasoned. It was seasoned just well enough to highlight the natural flavors. The meat was really juicy and tender. The BBQ sauce was flavorful. The service was great & everyone was friendly and welcoming. If you don’t want rest stop food on the Ohio Turnpike take a Twelve minute detour and give them a try.

Was referred to Wolf It Down so I tried the Hen Tails with homeade Buffalo sauce, loaded Brisket Nachos, lobster Mac and cheese and a caramel apple sangria. I doubled up. Highly Recommended !

We used Wolf It Down to cater our wedding last week. The food was fantastic and we received countless compliments on the quality of the food and service.

Everything was just as good, if not better, than when we went in for our taste testing.

I had the BBQ sandwich with corn bread and coleslaw. The BBQ was fantastic and a generous portion. Service was very attentive as I never lacked for anything. The BBQ is served on a bun with the sauce at the table. The sandwich did not need sauce as the flavor was very good and moist but not greasy. Excellent meal and I will be coming back here soon.

Food was great both times I’ve been there, service is incredible and fast. Can’t wait to go back again ! Try the Beta Tot Bowl or the Smash Burger ! And Michelle was the best waitress ever !

Food was delicious and plentiful. Friendly and clean atmosphere. Our waitress Michelle was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Great first experience! We saw the ad at the theater in Wauseon OH and was glad we made the drive to Lyons OH to give it a try.

I am from Texas so BBQ in Ohio/Michigan? This place was amazing!!! Small family owned operation in the little town of Lyons, OH. Great service, fantastic BBQ with some unique twist. If you ever find yourself in the area don’t miss out!!

We used them for catering a large events. They are consistently amazing! Our guests are always excited when they learn Wolf It Down is catering.

The atmosphere, food, and service were all excellent!!

Had a party of 10 on a Saturday and it was beyond perfect! Food was delicious, hot and fresh. Our waitress was very attentive and refilled drinks before it ran out, checked in an appropriate amount of times and they even held an ice cream cake for the day until the party.
Highly recommend the Beta tater tot bowl. It has tator tots, macaroni and cheese, either pulled pork or brisket and topped with bbq sauce. I had the brisket and it was amazing.

Generous (1/4") slices of tender and lean brisket, which was cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese, cornbread, and slaw were homemade and delicious. Everything we heard -- including the friendly and efficient service -- is true! We look forward to future visits to enjoy other menu items!

First time visit for us. We were surprised there was inside dining and had fast, friendly service. The loaded brisket nachos tasted as beautiful as it looked. The pulled pork dinner came with two sides, cornbread,sweet pickles and bbq sauce. I think there was enough meat for 3 sandwiches! We are definitely going back as we want to try other items from the menu!

Took a quick "Get out of the house, we're stir crazy" car trip and wound up near Lyons, OH. We were getting hungry, so we decided to stop at Wolf It Down. Best decision ever! The smoked chicken sandwich and the pulled pork dinner were excellent! Sides (beans, potato salad, TOTS!, corn bread) were awesome. The staff were wonderful - all the regulars were greeted by name and they made us most comfortable. Will certainly revisit if our future wanderings put us anywhere nearby!

Best pulled pork Iv ever had in my life! I’m always skeptical about BBQ. It’s seldom my mind is ever blown by BBQ but wow! I just found my favorite BBQ spot today. Will gladly make the trip from Oregon, Ohio anytime for this food. I got the Beta Tot Bowl. The base is crispy tater tots, delicious juicy pulled pork on top of that and then melty delicious Mac and cheese on top. I think I devoured it in like less than 5 minutes! 100% deserving of this review. Can’t wait to visit again. 😊
