Yellowstone Valley Grill

This restaurant gem off the beaten path is a must-go for anyone visiting or living in Livingston or the Paradise Valley. The gourmet food was incredible, we had three courses and from start to finish, each was spot on and perfectly executed. The 8oz tenderloin with green peppercorn brandy sauce was hands down the best tenderloin I've had in Montana in over 10 years, the flavor and quality of the meat was exceptional, you could literally cut it with a butter knife. The service was great, and the hospitality of the Executive Chef taking time to visit every table was a personalized touch. The ambiance is breathtaking, with views of the mountains and the Yellowstone river makes this restaurant unmatched in the area. We will be back again, and again!

Great food, service, and drinks. The menu has something for everyone and it’s very composed and well executed. Also the wine list, especially by the glass, is very good. You can't beat the views of the Yellowstone river and backdrop of the Mountains. This place checks off all the marks for a wonderful dining experience.

We stayed at the Yellowstone Valley Inn for a fishing trip and it included meals at the grill. Our service was awesome, the waitresses took care of us and the food was always delicious. I think we sampled just about everything on the menu and nobody ever complained. They also had a great local APA on tap and several other craft beer selections.

Wonderful dining experience. Staff was amazing. I ordered the beet carpaccio and they had a special for the day pork belly carbonara with swordfish. Can’t wait to come back! Plus the view was amazing right on the Yellowstone river with the emigrant peak in the background.

Absolutely outstanding food and service. Sincere thanks to Chef Jason and to our server Jen for taking such good care of my father and me. Dinner each night was the highlight of our 3 night stay at the Yellowstone Valley Lodge.

Food here is so awesome!!!! Never had anything like that in States. Would definitely recommend anybody who is visiting Yellowstone to drop by this restaurant to enjoy this delicious menu alonf with great views of the snow mountain and river! Went with everything Sage recommended and really enjoyed every dish!! Thank you for the great service and hospitality too!

We stumbled upon this place because we had to drive from gardiner (an hr drive)… we were in a few local shops and had asked for recommendations when a couple behind us suggested this place! It was heading back in the direction we needed to go and we were so happy we went. Food was amazing, our server Blake was great at making recommendations & friendly & the view alone was picture perfect. Forgot to take pictures of main entrees but everything was great.

My husband and I came here tonight for dinner and left with one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! The food was delicious and our wonderful server Sage informed us that the micro greens on the trout melt (which was incredible) were grown in her garden. It’s so amazing to find a restaurant that supports the community and sells local, fresh produce. We will be back for sure.

Just wow! Make this a stop along your visit to Paradise Valley/Yellowstone! Great wine and beer menu. Deliscious menu options - we tried the duck tacos, pork belly, and caesar salad - hit the spot!

Pro tip: plan for time to walk around their grounds - fire pit, scenic view of mountains and stream. All lovely with my glass of wine. And, our server Sage - she was a treat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An Oasis! Wonderful staff, tantalizing food, all at a picturesque locale! Even during a downpour, the servers are upbeat, and the food cannot be beat! Plus a surprising bountiful wine btb list. Highly recommend!

Yellowstone valley grill was absolutely amazing. Food was great but our server was the icing on the cake. Sage, our wonderful waitress, even helped grow the fresh, local organic produce used to make some of the dishes here!! You should’ve seen this lettuce (I can’t remember what she called it but it was Swiss something), it had rainbow stalks and was wonderful in the steak dish. She was highly informed about everything and was able to make excellent recommendations for wine to pair beautifully with the food. 100% recommend.

We had the most amazing dining experience. The customer service was spot on. Danielle and Sage made us feel like celebrities and the chef presented the most amazing menu. The Lamb Shank and Steak Diane were lovely and the flavors of the appetizer bread and salads were heavenly. We ate here on our first night at the lodge and we are hoping to book a reservation again. It was a great start to our Montana vacation!

Great service! Perfect location. One of the best meals I've ever had. My husband and I enjoyed a perfect date night here. We will be back some day (we live in MI).

My boyfriend and I, along with his family, are visiting from out of state. Our waitress, Sage, had such great energy and walked us through their menu with confidence. I appreciated how unique each dish was, and could tell a lot of thought was put into the play of different flavors. They have a great wine list too. The view we had sitting outside was beautiful, and Sage took some nice photos of us!

We have been coming here for years, and it never disappoints! The food and service is impeccable, and the farm to table menu has a lot of variety, so you're sure to find something you like! Our recent favorites are the pork collar, the sour cucumbers, and the scallop crudo. The views are beautiful and add to the serene dining experience. Definitely a must try if you're in the valley area!

Chef Bobby is ready to beat Bobby Flay! Sage, our waitress, and the rest of the staff took us through a truly memorable dining experience. The were attentive and exceptionally entertaining with commentary on the menu and dishes we ordered, as well as stores about the area.

First impression of the facilities is a little underwhelming, don't let that fool you, the view is spectacular and food deserves a 6 out of 5 rating.

A personal favorite for years. This location offers the views, the ambiance, and an unbeatable menu. I have never been disappointed by a plate and it is a must go whenever friends or family visit from out of town. I always count down to their seasonal opening and this years new menu was worth the wait. We had a few friends order almost one of everything to share and not one dish lacked in standards. Can't wait to go back again soon!
