Pickup and dropoff were seamless, as was payment online. The boat was in great condition and we enjoyed our rental very much. We would rent from Northampton Marine again.

My Mother lives on the Lake. We rented a pontoon boat for boat rides for her 90th Birthday Party. The folks at Northampton Marine made the process incredibly easy. The pontoon boat carried 10 passengers with plenty of room. It was very clean, started right up, ran smoothly, and allowed for a surprising variation in speed. It allowed us to give comfortable and enjoyable boat rides to friends and relatives of all ages.

Northampton Marine came through when all other boat rental companies had no inventory. They have a large inventory where others do not and their customer service was excellent. The boat was clean and in great condition. The staff explained everything in detail and made sure we were comfortable before heading out. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a boat rental company.

We had an excellent experience with Northhampton Marine! We went out with two couples and rented their 18' Premier Pontoon boat which was perfect! The owner was very helpful and recommended that boat for our group which was exactly what we had in mind! The gas was only $10 to fill up for the entire day!! I would highly recommend renting from this company - quick responses, easy pickup/ drop off, great communication, etc.

Renting the Pontoon Boat was one of the highlights of our trip! We thoroughly enjoyed the 2 days with the boat. Unfortunately we did enter shallow water and hit a sand bar. We checked the prop and had no noticeable vibrations and were able to continue. When we returned boat, our rental home did not have a way for us to vacuum and power wash upon return. We did incur a cleaning fee and a charge for a new prop. (both of these were on us) The owners were very polite and explained why we were charged. We enjoyed our time on the lake, and the boat rental was a major we had fun. I apologize for the initial reaction when we found out about the charges, but it was totally our fault for the condition we returned the boat! Thanks again for making this a great vacation!

Great experience with North Hampton marine. Sold them a boat and they were honest and straight up. Very easy process.

I can't say enough good things about Northampton Marine. We have two older boats---a 2006 Bentley 90Hp pontoon and a 1999 19' Monterrey bowrider---and Northampton Marine is the only place I trust for servicing them. John and his family run a very professional shop, and they always go the extra mile for their loyal customers.

Here's a perfect example: Two weekends ago I had the pontoon out when the steering started to go---and I barely made it back to the boathouse. I tried to see if I might be able to fix it myself but realized it would require a mechanic. The worst part is I had a big group of folks coming down in 10 days, so I was worried i wouldn't have the the one boat I needed most. I took a video of the problem and took some photos of the helm so I could show John. I ended up needing a new helm and cable system.

Since I don't have a trailer for the pontoon---and couldn't get my hands on one that week---I needed them to tow the boat out, service it, and then return the boat back to my boat dock. John saw I was desperate and he didn't hesitate to make it happen; his son was able to retrieve the boat, and I was amazed to see that they had it fixed and back to my dock in three days! He saved me.

Frankly we're lucky to have Northampton Marine at Lake Gaston. Those guys know their stuff and they service every type of watercraft. Most importantly, they really treat their customers well and I'll never, ever forget the lengths to which John went out of his way to help me when I was in a pinch.

I do not normally leave reviews, but I feel I must because Northampton Marine went above and beyond! This is a family owned business and John and his sons were outstanding to deal with. I bought a boat from him that he was selling for one of his customers. I was traveling from a few hours away and John took his time to answer all of my questions, send additional pictures, and educate me on the boat. He even kept his word and held the boat a couple of days due to me coming from out of town, even though he had other individuals calling about it that were local.

The boat's condition was exactly as John described it upon my arrival.
John and his sons had already changed the oil, checked the gas quality, and ran a diagnostic's check to try and make sure there were no issues with the engine. Upon me completing my inspection on land his sons took me out on Lake Gaston for a sea trial. Once I decided to purchase the boat, John and his sons helped make adjustments to my trailer to properly secure the boat, although they were extremely busy. He even took my calls after the sale to answer a few more questions about the engine.

The purchase process was seamless and I could not have asked for more. I highly recommend John, his sons, and Northampton Marine for your service, rental, or purchase needs. Boat was clean, in decent condition, and ran perfectly well. It was nice service to have someone at the docks to show us the ropes and set us out. And easy to return the boat. Only issue we had was losing a bumper. We would certainly use Northampton Marine again. Thanks for a great experience!

When me and my party came to Lake Gaston we really wanted to rent a boat for the weekend. Why wouldn't you when you're staying on a lake. We called tons of companies but everyone was booked for the weekend. We took a chance on Northampton Marine and we were not disappointed. They went above and beyond and located a boat for us immediately. They were very knowledgeable and told us everything on how to operate the boat safely while still having loads of fun. We did have a minor mishap with the boat. They immediately came out to service the boat and were extremely professional. This is a very honest family owned business, the do not disappoint in their service. It was a pleasure working with the folks at Northampton marine and I will definitely be renting from them again in the future.

My husband and I rented a pontoon from Northhampton Marine last Saturday. We had called many places in the area and we were excited to find out Northhampton would have an available boat. From the moment I started texting with Jennifer, I was so impressed by their knowledge and customer service; she even managed to upgrade our boat! We had an absolute blast and we thought the boat (25' Sedona) was perfect for my husband and I. Great way to explore Lake Gaston - we are already looking forward to coming back, as I know we'll be return customers!!

After months of looking for a pontoon boat - and getting scammed left and right on Craigslist - we finally found our perfect pontoon boat at Northampton Marine!! Buying our first pontoon boat (and a used one at that !) was scary - but John was so wonderful at talking us through our options and made us feel very comfortable that we were getting a good deal from a reputable place! He even got the boat ready in a couple of days to fit in with our needs. The boat was immaculate when we picked it up - and he threw in some extra lifejackets and ropes for good measure - and he and his staff also adjusted our trailer so it fit perfectly. I cannot recommend John and Northampton Marine highly enough - he will be our go to place for all our watersport needs in the future - Thank you John

Boat ran great! That's the most important feature of a boat!! Only thing that would have made it better would be working gauges. Not an issue for experienced boater or people familiar with the lake, but could be for others. Will definitely rent from Northampton Marine again!!

We rented a 24 Ft fishing pontoon boat for three days while staying at Lake Gaston. The boat was in excellent condition and the staff a Northampton Marine were very helpful and courteous. We had a great experience.

I am afraid I have done an injustice to Northampton Marine. I have never left a review and feel I should have many times. I have never had work done without it being the best in the area. No matter what work either at their shop or at my dock it has been superb. Never a complaint. John and his sons have found problems with my pontoon and jetski that others could not. I will never take my water vehicles anywhere else because I trust them.

Working with NC Boat Brokers has been a pleasure. As a novice boat buyer I was wary of buying a boat, and especially a motor, that looked good but could be nothing but problems. I bought my 2000 Carolina Skiff (1980 DLV) with a 90 Hp Johnson motor from John and his team a year ago and am very happy with the boat, the motor, the experience and even the price.
I am especially pleased with the motor. I like that although it's a 1998 motor it's been carefully reconditioned and problem free so far. I also like that John has been very happy and patient with me to answer any questions.
