Avant-garde Salon & spa Miami

I had a wonderful experience at Avant-Garde ! It made me wish I lived in Miami so I could visit more often!! I called on Friday and they were able to see me on Saturday morning— no issues! I am so grateful I was able to be seen so quickly. Andrea really listened to what I envisioned and my hair lasted through the night for the wedding I attended. Thank you again!

I just wanted to say that I loved being there. Fabian is really nice and does a great job. Everyone seems so happy, and the atmosphere in the salon is very pleasant. When I go to the salon, it's not just to get my hair done, but also to feel good. It's a moment I dedicate to myself to relax. I love being in a place where everyone seems relaxed and happy. My daughter recently moved to the area. I came to visit and wanted to get my hair done…. Color and a blow out. From my first call, two days prior to my appointment, the staff had constant contact with me….asked me to send pics of my hair and what I was looking for. They even texted me the address of where to park. My entire experience was seamless! I felt so comfortable from start to finish. Farrah did an amazing job on my color, as did Danny with my blowout. Being from NY, I can say that this salon was better than any high-end salon I’ve been to.

It was my first time in the salon and I had a wonderful experience. Andy did my hair and he is just the BEST. He is amazing with hair coloring and one of the thing I love the most about him is that he takes the time to ask you want you want and to answer all your questions! He does an incredible job! I highly recommend it. People in the salon is also super nice and friendly! Thanks

Justina is a truly amazing colorist. I was thrilled when I moved from San Francisco to Miami and found out my colorist was moving as well. It’s been 4 years and I would never have another person touch my hair. I have super fine, long hair that is very hard to apply color to in a way that looks natural. I have gone from a full blond to highlights, painting and toning. Lately, Justina has brought me from various shades of blond back to my natural color but better. It’s everything I always wanted my natural hair to look like but with depth and light in the most flattering places. She paints my hair with the most beautiful natural looking result. She has always heard my preferences and guided me in adding color and extensions. She is a master of applying color and I have been thrilled with each application. I have never left unhappy and have recommended her to many different people with various hair textures who have always reported that she really is that good.

I absolutely loved everything about getting my haircut here! When I entered, everybody was very kind and very welcoming. Maria who shampooed my hair was very kind and attentive (also, what she washed my hair with worked amazing for my hair). Maykel cut my layers beautifully and Leo who blow dried it was amazing! Definitely coming back to cut my layers from now on.

I had a great experience with Maykel! He listened to my preferences and delivered all with kindness & comfort in mind. I have long hair that needed some layers, love my new cut! I’ll definitely be back

After a year of searching for the right salon, and not letting anyone touch my hair for fear of the results, I have finally found my new hairdresser and salon

I absolutely love my hair Juan, my hairdresser, was a doll! He made me feel comfortable right from the start. He took his time during our consultation to make sure he understood what I wanted and what I like. He also explained everything to me along the way. I also appreciated the form I had to sign at the beginning detailing the cost of all the services I was going to have... Many times it's not until the end that you find out the damage But I feel that letting clients know upfront prevents any issues or "surprises" from arising later on.

I must also mention Leo. He washed the dye out of my hair. His scalp massage was amazing as well as his attention to detail! I noticed he was very careful not to soak my face with water or hike rinsing it and gently removed any stains the dye left around the scalp area.

On multiple occasions various staff members offered me something to drink. I only wish they had decaf cappuccino because they looked so good but caffeine and I are not friends

I love everything about this salon! Farrah is THE best for blonde highlights. Every time it’s perfection and I really value that she is always on time and efficient (plus the sweetest). Jamal cut my hair and did it exactly the way I wanted. You always feel welcome here, and are in the best hands!

I absolutely love this place! I have been here a couple of times to do big jobs like bleaching and balayages but I have recently decided to fully switch to them after this amazing experience. I went to them because I had gotten a botched hair cut somewhere else and wanted to fix it. Yasel was available last minute and he was so attentive, understanding, and knowledgeable. He was quick but thorough and saved my hair like a true expert. I went in with my hair choppy and in layers that looked terrible but in the end he had me with cute and flirty curls that highlighted my hair in the best way possible. Yasel specifically was incredible but everyone here is a top notch professional. I cannot stress how good this place is! I recommend it to anyone that wants to leave satisfied every time ❤

Fabián is an amazing stylist. He is excellent at both color and a cut. I have been going to him for close to 20 years and always get tons of compliments! I recommend him to everyone! He is a true professional and a wonderful person to work with.

My daughter has wanted to have balayage done on her hair for a few years now. I was very hesitant to have her do this hair treatment since she has Virgin hair. Marcelo was recommended by a friend. Her hair came out beautiful and just how she envisioned it. He took the time to talk to her and see what her vision for her hair was and helped her make the right decision based on her hair type and the fact that it had never been treated. He was very patient and explained the process with her. The final result was beautiful and he also explained to her how to take care of her hair so it would last and not dry out or loose it’s color. Thank you Marcelo for a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back.

Loved my experience with Andy. Absolutely amazing. I went from long and blonde hair to short and brunette and I loved my final look. He understood what I wanted and is definitely knowledgeable. He has a wonderful personality that is warm and welcoming. I recommended him and will definitely be coming back.

As someone who's super loyal to her stylist/colorist in NYC, I am always terrified when I have to see someone new during my travels. I found Avant-garde on Google, and chose the salon because of their prompt response time and stellar views. (I had called two other salons who didn't get back to me for DAYS!).
Justina, my colorist, was outstanding in her skill and passionate about her craft. I instantly felt comforted and secure in knowing that I was, indeed, in the best of hands.
I find myself in Coral Gables often because of family, and I can rest assured knowing that if my hair needs any sort of touch-up, Justina is just a few minutes away!

I went to get a haircut and blow dry today. I had a wonderful experience at the salon. Annie was so nice and her work was beautiful. I love how my hair came out. Would definitely recommend. 🩷
