Gospel Community Church Rivermont

Amazing church with a passion for Christ & the community! They have a number of different outreach programs in Lynchburg & send out missionaries/church planters around the world. They are focused on the gospel & a very welcoming body of believers. I definitely recommend GCCR.

We visited this church a few weeks back. It was ALIVE and PACKED with mostly worshippers under forty years old and probably fifty percent in their twenties. Hands were often raised and voices rang out with true appreciation for who God is and what He does. It was amazing and encouraging. My wife, Martha, had tears running down her face. What a blessed morning it was. We thoroughly enjoyed God's undeserved love and favor that day.

We vowed that, when we are in the area, this would be our church, and we are back in town this weekend ready to attend and offer God our praise and thanks again.

Amazing church. Friendly congregation, good place to bring the entire family. Pastor Andrew teaches most sundays and he is very share and speaks a clear message with good biblical points. Well worth the visit if you are looking for a home church. This is also a great place to get hooked up with a small group to dig in deeper and find good community. I can honestly say this church has changed my life with lifelong friends and sound teaching.

The first thing that stuck out to me was the architecture. It was a more traditional church building on an older street in Lynchburg. The sanctuary has stain glass windows which adds a nice lighting. Worship is modern and well done. The sermon notes are connected to the Bible app which makes it easy to follow along with the scripture passages and sermon notes.

My favorite worship, of all the 10+ churches I've been to in Lynchburg! Very intentional, and has a contemporary style. Strong focus on scripture too, which is very important! One of the 3 best churches I've been to here!

My family is grateful for this church which is centered on the gospel and the mission of Christ. We have found true community here and are grateful for a gospel-centered church to worship and serve within!

I loved going to Sunday service! When I am in Lynchburg I will attend every time!

Recently ( Oct 2017) merged with another local church, now called Gospel Community Church Rivermont. A welcoming congregation awaits visitors.

Gospel isn't just the name. It's in everything the church does. Great group of people with a heart for the community too
