Markham Park & Target Range

Markham Park has all outdoor activities to keep you moving, or just for your relaxation. Biking, walking trails, camping, mountain bike riding, picnic areas, a dog park, an RV park, shooting range, playgrounds, and my faves, tennis courts and airfields.

It’s pretty cool. It engenders a great quality of life for the residents of broward by providing recreational activities for all.

Want to huff and puff? Go to Markham. Want complete relaxation while picnicking? Go to Markham. Want to camp outdoors? Go to Markham. I mean they have it all.

Much thought was put into Markham’s design and offerings. I love it ❤❤❤

This park is huge and there is so much to do! It does cost $3 per vehicle to enter the park but it is well worth it. I really enjoyed the 2 mile lakeside trail. It was beautiful! Highly recommend!

First time at this park and by far it is very convenient for all purposes. It is very spacious and has lots to offer. Very worth it for walking, running, fishing, biking, sports, work-out area and party spots.

The trails here are great, some muddy ones. They have a dog park, a dam, and airport for mini helicopters and mini air planes. Super cool.

At first I was hesitant because on the weekend there is a $3 entry fee per vehicle & in NY our parks are free. But let me tell you this park doesn’t disappoint. You can completely tell that the money is put to great use. Such an awesome park! There was a remote control airplane area, playground, fishing, dog park, water craft area, and so much more. We really really enjoyed our time there. Next time I’m in the area I will for sure go back. We’ve been to Markham twice so far on this trip. I highly recommend.

Gorgeous park on the edge of the Everglades. We’ve been there many times. Today we parked across from the dog park and walked the nature trail to the end where the canal is, right before that there’s a narrow path to the right. We walked down that path and had a scary encounter with a gator. I called the park and left a message. Just a warning to be careful and vigilant, it’s mating season!

Came here to take my Hunting Field Test for certification, but also enjoy the area plus the staff around. Definitely will be back hopefully soon when it's a good day! 😁

The park is very clean and beautiful nature-wise. I love to go here as I always have fun here. Staff are professional as well.

The events that they host here are incredibly AMAZING.

Very Nice Camping!

I stayed here for 2 nights and found this park and campground to be one of the nicest and well maintained county parks I have stayed at. The property is so nice and very quiet at night. I had a little trouble finding the sewer hook up hole in the ground when I got to my site. It was mostly due to the amount of leaves on the ground. I called the office and they sent out a ranger to help. In no time we found it and was set up. If you are in a RV or Van i recommend getting provisions before getting set up. there is nothing really close by for shopping. Walking the grounds here is a big plus for staying at a park. The entire area is full of nature trails, ponds, lakes and activities. There's a shooting range in the park and it is open until late each night but don't let that stop you from staying here. It is not that loud and you can get a space far away from the range. All in all, this is a great place to stay for a few nights and take in all that Florida nature as to offer.

This has got to be one of the greatest parks in the area. Great place to disconnect and so much to do. I’ve had a picnic with my little guy in the middle of the butterfly garden and it doesn’t get any better than that. Go to Markham and make some memories.

Great MTB trail , this place is huge and awesome! Our first time over this beautiful park and we had a blast ,you need a pass to get it in , it’s $25.00 they didn’t ask for a pass to us cuz was almost 5 pm this pass is for the MTB trail ok

Great dog park. Super super large, lot of green, very well maintained. They have a small and large dog park. Lots for trees for shade for the dogs, and great seating for the humans.

One of the most beautiful parks in Broward County. I have seen the beautiful birds 🐦, peacocks. Discovered by accident they offered free PCR COVID TESTING VIA CAR DRIVE THROUGH. Very organized and wait time was approximately 5 min per car. There were 12 cars ahead of . While you wait you don’t notice the time because of the great scenery. There were 10 tents that take your information then you drive to quality control then to a larger tent were they insert a swab in your mouth. The results take 2-5 days . I really respected all the employees , very professional

Absolutely love this park! There’s a lot of great things about it. Starting by the dog park, all doggies need to be registered to get inside the dog park section. There’s an airport, a target range, rv sites, camping sites, shelters to rent, and a huge lake!
The park it’s definitely packed during the weekend and on weekdays there’s free COVID testing

Really great park in west Broward! This place has everything you need! You can play soccer, football, frisbee golf and even fly model planes! They also have a campground which is really cool! I highly recommend checking out this park if you’re in the area! 😊👍

Super duper Saturday in my paradise. Great sunshine Saturday at the park. Attended a monthly event wt good friends, made some new ones as well. All in all a fabulous place for birthday celebrations, trail bike riding, camping, there's a gun range, doggie park, Pavillion all around and so much more. Definitely, the beat park we have in Broward county.

Awesome recreational park in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, South Florida metro area!

It has some very awesome trails for mountain biking, beautiful hiking nature trails (don’t miss the Lakeside trail...), a remote control plane airfield, supervised target ranges, and all kinds of sports courts and fields...
...Water sports, boating lakes and ramps, picnic areas, and pretty much everything else needed to spend an excellent active day at the park. The lakeside trail is about one hour, back and forth, and definitely one our local favorites to reconnect and be one with nature!
