This cafe and its owner are absolutely darling. I noticed a sewing machine set up and asked about it. She said they hadn't been very busy lately so she's been using the extra time so sew masks! Just wonderful. They also make their own chocolate syrup so get a mocha.

Love the cozy atmosphere. It is a great place to grab coffee and have a good conversation and I have always loved their scones. The meal-time food is also very good and overall is an enjoyable visit. There is limited seating inside though so just be wary of that.

I used to eat here years ago. The chicken salad with, sesame noodles on the side with an iced coffee was just so amazingly delicious. Those noodles can't be bested. When it's spring in Baltimore, eating outside while doing the weekly crossword puzzle while enjoying Carma's is some of my fondest memories. It's been years but I hope they reopen.

Such a cute and cozy spot with great coffee and pastries! It's a little dimly lit and cramped inside, so I wouldn't say it's the best place to sit and study/do work, but they do have outdoor seating which could be better if the weather is nice. Try the peanut butter cookies!

I got one of the best wraps I've ever had, and even better- it was vegetarian.

You can't go wrong with any coffee on the menu either. (Tried black, Lavender honey latte, and their chili pepper coffee)

Expect a bit of a wait on food orders; everything is made fresh to order. But also expect kind, genial, neighborly service from the people who work there.

“Love this little farm to table restaurant”
I like knowing the origin of my food and they list the partner Farms. The food is freshly made. There are many wonderful side dishes. They change according to what is available and in season. I cannot remember the name of the creamery that they use for their ice cream but it's wonderful. It's really great for breakfast lunch or...

Carma's is a wonderful place. The Bistro style and atmosphere is genuine and refreshing. It's not trying to be something it's not. Great food and service. The owners are very sweet and dedicated to the costumer, and service to them. It's unique menu changes and that makes it pleasant and not some dreadful chain restaurant. Great coffee and drinks. Good soups, cookies , muffeletta's and breakfast foods. Their cooking style is unique and delicious. They put their own twist on their epicurian delights. They also Cater and are perfect for small gatherings.

This place rules! So cozy inside and outside. Really nice coffee and they might have my favorite Chai. Their specials are always on point and the soup! Holy hell the soup is fantastic. My only wish is that they would sell their snickerdoodle year round.

Tough for large groups, but you can get lucky outside if the weather is nice.

Love this place. I love to take my knitting to drink my coffee or tea here and hang out. Last time, I got Earl grey tea with lavender syrup and I love that they let me customize this. The people are also wonderful!

Carma catered two meals for our daughter's graduation family gathering at our rental and truly went above and beyond. She wanted to know what our graduate liked and get to know her before suggesting a menu. She cared deeply about the quality of the food, inconveniencing herself for both mealtimes so the food would be fresher (grilled cheese, just-out-of-the-oven scones).
For a light supper after a big lunch and afternoon receptions, we chose BLT salad, grilled cheese and tomato soup. The plan was that Carma would deliver this meal and our brunch items for the following morning, but she wanted to bring her portable griddle and prepare the grilled cheese on site so the sandwiches wouldn't be soggy. For brunch we selected two types of fritata, fruit salad, bacon, my grad's two favorite types of scones, which coincidentally were the flavors that Carma won't allow anyone else on staff to make. Carma suggested a health bread that she makes and brought along a jar of her homemade blueberry lemon jam. Carma had decided she wanted to bake our scones fresh that morning, so this meant another delivery back to our rental. Just before her arrival, I asked if she could serve and clean up for an extra fee so I could relax and enjoy our party and get off to commencement more easily, and she moved her staff around at the cafe to accommodate her being with us all morning.
If I ever give a party in Baltimore again, I know exactly who will be catering it! Don't think twice about booking her, but do it early because growth is not her goal -- quality is.

Always fresh, always great choices. You literally can't go wrong with your choices on food or drink. Bring your own cup for the water cooler in the back if you want. Very cozy though, be prepared to be surrounded and move around to accommodate people around you.

Great staff (Ariana and Haydn are so nice!), great coffee and tea, great background music, great environment (indoor and outdoor), and great FOOD! They can even be vegan friendly, offering almond milk for your drinks, bagels with hummus, a "Thai crunch" bowl, and vegan treats :] Highly recommended!

Only thing that would make it better is public Wifi (hint hint) :]

While many restaurants are trying to navigate a tricky and ever-changing pandemic landscape, Carma's has been a local blessing. They are a small eatery in the basement of an apartment building at the corner of St. Paul St & 32nd St.

But it's unique location is only enhanced by the small "mom&pop" vibe and it's eccentricly tasteful menu. My wife and I have purchased cuisine from here many times in the past 9 years, and we've enjoyed what we've ordered. They have entrees and desserts and drinks and even jams and apple butter!

And, back in March or April (of 2020 when everything was shut down for COVID-19, and it was difficult to locate the basics in grocery stores), they posted that they had eggs for sale, and we needed some, so we went and purchased eggs from them! We also loved that it was both supporting a local, and it was also supporting a local farmer.

This place is one of our faces, and we'll continue to visit.

Unassuming coffee shop doing everything right. Creative tea lattes, great iced drinks, and something for the sweet tooth or a more substantial sandwich. Outdoor covered seating in the summer helps make the most of a small space, but this is the ideal coffee shop to be alone among strangers in.

Bread loaf are not my favorite but SCONE is so good! I got a churro scone, and it’s crunchy outside, moist inside and cinnamon taste as a highlight. Staffs are friendly, they made my morning💕
