Streets Market

Convenient and (understandably) a bit pricey. The store is small but neat and densely stocked with a great selection of the basics. Their produce selection is bigger than I would have expected and generally good quality (often better than Giant) - their avocados always ripen up perfectly! They also have a huge cheese selection and a ton of Asian items. They have fresh flowers by the entrance, and there’s fresh bread (I think from a local bakery) near the checkout. Regarding another review's complaint, I've never witnessed any cold groceries sitting out for too long in the aisles waiting to be stocked. Further, I’ve never had a problem with any of the cold items I’ve purchased (milk, cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, yogurt, ice cream, frozen fries, etc). The store has baskets and small shopping carts. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. There is a small fee (5 or 10 cents) per plastic bag if you need them; their bags are very sturdy and larger than normal, so you could definitely reuse them. I included a photo of my recent receipt, which shows some of their prices.

I like shopping at Street Market Café stores for the following reason:
- Great customer service. I never had a negative encounter with a cashier. They greet with a smile, make eye contact and accommodate my request, even when I’m being cheap by not trying to buy a shopping bag :).
- The fresh French baguette (that’s my favorite bread and I get it there fresh)
- They always have Freshly cut seasonal fruits and vegetables.
- Cleaned fish filet or steaks, cleaned shrimp, whole chicken, or cut chicken pieces and meat (Beef…). They also carry halal meat.
- I usually get the ready to go dishes like Salads, seafood, lasagna, beans, sandwiches, sushi, guacamole….
This store is smaller than the one on Charles Street. It doesn’t have the hot food bar. I find everything else though. They also carry regular groceries like canned food, pasta, spices, nuts, bread, cereal, eggs, cheese, milk, yogurt, sweets, cake, fresh juices, fresh flowers, plantains, protein shakes, utensils, corn flower, rice, tomato sauces, international spices, and sauce like siracha sauce along many varieties of fish.
Shopping at Street Market Café stores can be a little expensive, but it’s worth it to me because I get items that are ready to be cooked or eaten in a clean and welcoming store. Thanks 🙏🏾

This is a fabulous new store catering to the majority of college students in the area. The store is an amazing blend of what Eddie's once was (offering a great variety of cheeses and produce) while also adding a modern twist with variety Asian cuisine. The prices are incredible reasonable for the area (as well as compared to bigger chains such as Giant and H-Mart).

P.S. the store just opened. Of course they don't have any sales yet. They need to make a profit first.

A great blend of higher end products mixed with everyday needs. I can’t get over the incredible ice cream section! I only went once, but with it being a block away from my house, I’ll definitely be going back soon. I used to work at Eddie’s, and Streets definitely has the same vibe. One suggestion is that they stock more oat milk products! I believe they were either sold out of it, or just didn’t have my brand. Either way, I love this place for sure.

I’m so excited about the new Streets! Great selection, prices seem reasonable. Lots of brands I like, including natural foods, and a great Asian section. I like that they have some organic produce, but would like a little more, relative to conventional. My only main disappointment is that at some point, they will apparently be closing while the current building is demolished, and then a more permanent home is constructed. It’s fine with Mom’s close by. Having both of these markets so close to where I live is a treat!

The best grocery store sushi in the vicinity. Very fresh. The rice is just right and fresh, not like hard factory rice molds used in other grocery stores. Well worth the metro ride to this quaint market.

Love the produce and grab and go section. Lots of new items added since the store opened - a major improvement!

The store is very clean, well stocked, very friendly and professional staff. a bit pricey but worth it for fresh products.

Only complaint is they would never tell me why they couldn't get the milkis soda back. other than that I love the place
