Perfect spot to work from home! Free parking spots, lots of spaces, outdoor seating, family friendly, and quiet. Only thing is you need to get their library card to have free wifi. If you are residents of DC and MD, its free. Some counties in VA also count towards free wifi. If you are outside of these places, pay 50 bucks per year to get their wifi. Hours are also pretty short.

What an awesome place! Omg! The transformation is a-mazing! I remember coming here in the 80’s and 90’s and it was nothing like this. It’s as appealing to the eyes as to dwell on it.

A solid multi level structure, it has so many little nooks to hideout, learn, play, collaborate, read or listen.

Off the cuff, children’s play area as a reading tree play nook looks wonderful. A quiet reading room is off to the side.

All areas are handicapped accessible, modernized, bright designs and inviting. There are too many aspects to properly detail. But the bottom line is, this library is much improved and a huge asset to the area. Even moreso now in this evolving post-pandemic time.

I love the new look of the library! I only hung out in the children's area so I didn't take pictures of everything. Plenty of seating - inside and outside. PGCMLS has done an excellent job with all the remodeled libraries and this is no exception. I look forward to coming back!

If you used to frequent the old library, you'll be shocked what they did to the new one. The feel of the old building is lost in the new open space concept that they've created. The librarians from the previous building are mostly gone, however the new ones are still as kind. There is a larger diversity and array of books than the old building had, but good luck figuring out which "section" they're in. The library rooms seemed to be more used, which is good to see, and they have a lot of interactive activities for the kiddos.

Honestly everything was great. I talked to my friend about how my Mom always said the burning of the library of Alexandria was one of the tragedies of history. The staff was helpful and awesome.

You get ten free pages to print a day and everything went smooth and simple! Thanks library team! You all do more than you can imagine!

Went to visit new library. Great building, a lot of rooms for meetings and privacy. Staff is attentive and friendly. There looks to be a lot of parking. Nice open floorplan. Large area for kids and families to read. There's a machine to get short stories printed out to read. Self check out kiosk. The only thing I wish is some labeling on the shelves regarding the topics covered within the nonfiction section, it has the Dewey decimal system at the beginning of every aisle but it could be helpful to add labels about the specfic topics on the aisle as well.

Nice place to study. There are charging ports and a nice sitting area of chairs and tables. The area with bookshelves and computers is separate from this and prohibits food and drinks. There is a large parking garage beneath for parking. The only downside is that there is no free wifi, there is public wifi that requires a library card number

Scheduled the study room for a work meeting (note 2he limit). Beautiful renovations, friendly, helpful staff, plenty parking underground, some spaces right out front including handicap parking.

I love visiting this library! The Hyattsville Branch is clean and has a beautiful set-up that accommodates the needs of all its visitors. From the very young to the more older mature population everyone is able to have a great experience. Additionally, the staff are pleasant engaging and knowledgeable about the Hyattsville's resources. All of this has made my visits wonderful! Keep up the good work!!!

Great local library! The people are nice and the new design is amazing! They have a ton of books so you usually won't have to go to a different library to find the book you're looking for. It can be a bit empty at times but the staff are always helpful and there's lots of space to just read a book. If you live near this library you should totally check it out!

Beautiful building. Clean tables and bathroom. Very colorful for kids to enjoy. There is a parking garage at the back of the building. Limited parking spaces in front of the library. Elevators in the parking garage.

The newly remodeled Hyattsville library is beautiful. The parking garage makes it easy to park and go in, it is architecturally lovely, and staff are friendly and helpful. I usually just go in to pick up holds, but every time I am there I am reminded that some time I want to actually hang out for a while.

Lots af children and teen books. Many different spaces for relaxing and reading. The children's section has a castle and some private reading huts. They have a large number of computers and even a 3D printer. I think the fireplace looked like a good place to read a book on a cold winter day.
