Great churros and coffee!! Love the ambiance. If you want churros, you have to come here as the one in downtown Durham only sells coffee.

Lovely little cafe with delicious and warm churros. We also got fantastic drinking chocolates. A perfect breakfast and we loved the style of seating inside.

Great coffee shop with incredible fresh churros. The atmosphere is very pleasant and it is very friendly towards people staying and working on their laptops. There is lots of seating and a decent number of outlets for charging. The coffee is great, I preferred their espresso over their pour over. The macchiato was one of the best I've had in a while. But still nothing beats the churros, made fresh for each order. Amazing! The staff is super friendly and there's free parking too. The free wifi is speedy and reliable in my experience. The music is more energetic but not too loud that you can't tune it out with some headphones. Overall it was a unique and excellent experience. A coffee shop with great character that definitely makes it worth a visit. One of my favorites.

Went here because my five year old daughter found out about Churros! We originally went to the one on Hillsborough St only to find out they didn’t sell Churros so we ended up here at this location. The lady taking our order was friendly and the place is spacious. The churros were hot and fresh!! They even do them in a heart shape which my baby girl enjoyed. We will go back again for more of this hot fresh sweet treat.

This place reminds me of the churreria in Mexico City! I ordered the Tenotchlitlan cacao with oat milk and it was divine. It had notes of chili and a sweet cacao base. The flavors were deep, rich and smooth. It was definitely an experience I wouldn't mind driving for. I also ordered the Cinnamon Churros, which were great as well. I think I'll order the cardamom churros next time, since I'm sure they will not disappoint 😋. Thank you, Cacao Cinnamon for existing 💖

I love Cocoa Cinnamon with all of my heart and soul, but especially the Lakewood locations. First and foremost is the fact that they have churros. And incredibly good churros at that, with delightful sugars. They also have fantastic coffee and can use spices so well in the drinks they make. The vibe is very cozy and there is lovely outdoor seating, and overall I could not give a higher recommendation when it comes to coffee shops.

So good. Churros are amazing. Very busy for a weekday but our stuff came out quickly. Tons of people working on their laptops.

So great to find a place where you can find quality pastries. The churros are spot on! Crispy, fresh, and filled with flavor with several options for dipping sauces. This is a favorite go-to spot to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Not just any churros, these are special. I took one bite and was immediately transported to heaven. In my 50 years I've never tasted any remotely like them. Absolutely sublime.

There's a giant stainless steel fryer right behind the counter where the batter, oil, and cinnamon combine to make magic. The sights, sounds, aromas all enhance to the experience.

It's no surprise that Cocoa Cinnamon was on the list of the 15 coffee shops to visit before you die.

There are three locations in Durham, each with their own unique drink and menu specialties. For instance, at this location, your only options are croissant rolls and the heavenly churros.

The Baristas were outstanding. Even with just the two of them they managed the hectic pace, steady line of customers while still remaining courteous and accommodating.

Most highly recommended; if you love coffee shops and you're ever anywhere near Durham, this is a must stop.

Loved the iced mocha, which they topped with cinnamon and cocoa powder. Cinnamon churro was as good as expected and paired well with my drink. Plenty of non-coffee drink options as well. Kid- friendly, spacious, plenty of parking.

Fresh & made to order Cinnamon churros were a delicious way to celebrate my husband's first CardioRehab physical therapy after his heart attack last month! I was very careful to make sure that I requested light Cinnamon sugar and limit his serving size 😀

When we visit Durham, we stop at Cocoa Cinnamon. For me, the coffee is different and more tasty than even the best chains. It has such good flavor. They are local and we love supporting them. They ship nationwide! Little Waves coffee roasters is where the magic is made. Mmmmm.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Drinks are made correctly and I don’t mind being a regular here! The wait time is a little long, but reasonable (they take the time to make your drink correctly!). They have a good selection of speciality coffee drinks as well as drinking chocolates. The coffee is above average compared to other places around the area and I appreciate the cultural diversity with the decor. I’ll definitely have try something other than a traditional cappuccino.

Tasty coffee and hot drinking chocolate. The flavors are on point, coffee is well made and the specials are definitely worth a try. The dark drinking chocolate Grenada was not sweet and chocolate forward. Gibraltar was also awesome. Overall highly reconnected.

Just tried Cocoa Cinnamon today, and it is everything I had hoped for. A bustling cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, it serves cocoa, coffee, espresso, and yummy churros. It's colorful, fun, inviting, and definitely delicious. They even have their own tostador de café! The only thing to note is that the parking lot is on a steep decline with bumpy paving. Take your time entering the lot. We will be back soon!

Cocoa cinnamon coffee (Little Waves) is good, but the churros here take it to the next level. Great little spot with a window to the roastery and good working space.

Best cafe I've been to in years. Drink menu is so unique. This is the only place I know of where you can get chocolate drinks (besides your average hot cocoa). Strongly recommend the churros. Also a great place to meet/work, as the tables are doubled up for added space.

Coffee was really good. Churros were amazing! Everyone was really friendly. Atmosphere inside was less coffee shop and more Internet cafe which is fine just didn’t expect it. We sat outside and it was pleasant. We wished we had gone back again before we left town.

This location of Cocoa Cinnamon had plenty of seating with garage doors at the front so now that the weather is beautiful, you have the indoor-outdoor vibe. Great coffee selections and alternate drinks. I had hibiscus tea with mint (aqua de Jamaica), but was also interested in the matcha lemonade. This location also had made to order churros which are delicious and come with your choice of 4 types of sugar: plain, cinnamon, cardamom, and orange. You can also get it with chocolate dipping sauce. Fantastic place to work also as there is so much space and seating. There is also an outdoor patio.
