Reade Ackner was our realtor at Nest, and he was AMAZING. He is super communicative and available, very honest, always strait forward, and never pushy. My family and I had a long “wish list” of what we were looking for in a house, and he helped us find the perfect one. He let us take the lead on how aggressively to house-hunt, and then when we found “the one”, he helped us move fast to put in an attractive offer. He worked with our crazy schedules to help us house hunt despite busy jobs and young kids. He is so knowledgeable and kind; he was great with our kids and super personable. I cannot say enough great things about Reade, because he really is such a gem!! We are so lucky to have found Nest Realty and Reade!

He helped me purchase my first home which seemed daunting at first but David really helped me navigate this new journey and reviewed my options and connected me with a great lender. Mark Simpson helped our daughter and her husband find a home in Durham, and so my wife and I asked him to be our buyers' agent when we decided to move to the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area. Reade was our agent for purchasing our first home and he was AMAZING. I cannot begin to express to you how thankful we were to have Reade in our corner during this process. My coworker recommended using Reade us our buying agent because he helped her soon with his first purchase and had the best experience. Reade was referred to her from her boss. That just goes to show you that he delivers a consist, quality experience and has a stellar reputation. Reade set up a call with me initially to understand our wish list and how we like to communicate and what our check-ins would look like. I was beyond impressed with his questions and personalized approach. During our walk-through, he was a subject matter expert and taught us what to look for and consider in a house. When we put an offer in, he was our the phone and Zoom video strategizing offer price and other ways to sweeten the deal to win the house. He would always explain what was happening at each step of the process and even provided that there were no updates just to continue that line of communication. He invested so much of his time and really made us feel comfortable with our first large purchase. Though our relationship was short (we were accepted on our first offer!), we will absolutely be working with Reade in the future.

P.S. - I bumped into the selling agent when she was removing the sign from our new home and even she sung Reade's praises! Again, Reade is highly regarded and SUCH an amazing person to work with.

Really can't say enough good things about Jeff Goldman with 501 Realty. I contacted him on a referral from a friend who recently relocated to Durham and had a great experience. My husband and I were first time homebuyers with a pretty limited budget so I wasn't sure we would really have much luck. Jeff had us closing on a house under budget, checking virtually all our boxes, in about 6 weeks. He walked us through the entire process, made us feel informed and comfortable, and hooked us up with qualified contractors/inspectors when necessary. As someone new to the area buying a house that needs some work (which is what we wanted), being introduced to competent and reliable service providers during the buying process was invaluable. Sam Poole helped us to sell our home in October 2021. Not only was he smart, friendly, and knowledgeable of the market, there was not a problem that came up that he didn't help us figure out. Scott was instrumental in our house hunt as first time buyers. Prior to buying in Durham, we lived 2000+ miles away. Scott was always available by phone/text/email to answer questions and even vet houses in person on a moment's notice. We felt like we had the inside-scoop with daily walk-through videos from pre-markets at 501 Nest and other brand new listings. He has a background in renovating homes and provided helpful insight on ideas, costs, and timelines for house projects. He also provided a trustworthy and honest opinion of all of the homes and neighborhoods and wasn't shy to tell us when it wasn't a good buy. He had "creative" ideas during negotiations and helped us get to a deal we never thought possible. Post close he made himself available to look after the place, take shipments inside, and even care for our dying lawn before we moved in!
