La Casetta Italian Restaurant Scotland Neck

Amazing 😍 Stopped here after a day at the bird sanctuary and so glad we did! Service was excellent, food was amazing and that Limoncello cake was delicious with fresh brewed coffee. Looking forward to eating here again next time we visit the birds!

Stopped in on the way to the bird park. We got the Italian subs. They were soooo delicious. It had been years since I had a sub that good. Staff was friendly & helpful. Definitely a great stop for us.

The food was really good, we ordered mozzarella sticks & a half Meatlover’s & half Hawaiian small 10” inch pizza & it was hot & fresh. Me & my friend got full off that & the cashier was nice

We arrived here after a few hours visit at the nearby Sylvan Heights Bird Park. We were a little late for lunch, so the restaurant was not busy. We were promptly seated and our orders taken. My wife and I ordered the 16 inch meat lovers pizza and homemade potato chips , and our daughter ordered the child's spaghetti with meatballs. My inlaws ordered a plain cheese steak sub and ham and cheese Stromboli I believe. Now my wife and I agreed those were the best homemade potato chips we had eaten. They were thick cut and not at all soggy....I would about say perfectly done. The pizza was right there with the best of them. Everyone else had nothing but compliments about their food as well. Our server was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately I don't remember his name, but he did an excellent job. This was an overall excellent experience and whenever we make it back to Scotland Neck I assure you we'll be returning to La Cassetta. If I lived closer, I'd probably be spending too much of my paycheck here. 😊

Very nice restaurant and close to the bird park. We had the Italian hoagie. The toasted bun and flavorings were very good.

P.S. even high chair was clean!! You can hardly find this nowadays, unfortunately!

The better is not the best Italian cuisine in eastern NC. They will practically make your food anyway you like with competitive prices. Nice.

Birthday party girl 75 years young enjoyed dinner. Surprise by Staff with sweet treat who sang and helped her celebrate.

Great service, excellent food, would definitely come back. Started with mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and it came out perfectly with a great bread to cheese ratio. The lasagna was cooked to perfection. They also had the best chicken soup I’d ever had. The lemon cake was unbelievable and all others at my table were very happy with their orders as well! Highly recommend this restaurant.

I had the Penne Soprano and it was a delicious blend of the ingredients stated. My husband's Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp was good with perfectly cooked noodles and creamy (not greasy) sauce. Our friend had the baked potato skins which were loaded with bacon and the Mediterranean salad which was plentiful and fresh. The bread that came with the pasta was warm and perfect. Our desserts of cheesecake and Limoncello Cake were the perfect ending for the meal. Good service and clean bathrooms. We wish we lived closer so we could visit it regularly.

Always 5 stars. The food here is delicious every time, whether we get takeout or eat in. Last night I went with my book club ladies and everything was fantastic. The wine, the food, the atmosphere, and our service were all wonderful. Jackie was so friendly and welcoming, and she took great care of us. She made sure we had everything we needed. This place is a true gem.

The food is always fresh and delicious! Love the spaghetti and chicken parmesan the best! Their light strawberry cake is always a part of my order, but sometimes they run out! My go to Italian place!

My wife and I traveled to Scotland Neck, NC, to visit the bird sanctuary and stopped at the LaCasetta Restaurant for lunch. The place was spotless. I ordered stuffed flounder, and my wife ordered chicken caccatore. The food was delicious. I never order red sauce when we go out to eat because the sauce is never good. I tasted the sauce on my wife's chicken caccatore, and for the first time, I wish I had ordered what my wife was eating. Hats off to the chef!! We probably won't be back to Scotland Neck, but I see online they have a restaurant in New Bern, NC. That is much closer to where we live. I hope the food will be as good in New Bern as it was in Scotland Neck, NC. The food we ate is not listed on items we would recommend. We did have bruschetta with cheese with our meal as an appetizer.

Absolutely delicious! We had Linguine and Clams in Red Sauce and Penne La Casetta. Plus a lovely bottle of Sangiovese. The service was kind and welcoming. We’ll be back often whenever we are in the area.

FABULOUS Italian food, I have lived in Italy and this was equal to any Trattoria in Rome. Terrific wine list, and amazingly low prices for everything.

Food was great so was service i ordered a buffet of food ...bacon cheese fries....Hawaiian pizza..french onion soup..chicken Alfredo...chicken parm..philly cheesesteak ...it was all delicious..will return

What a great restaurant basically in the middle of nowhere (my new home). So excited to know I have a great option for pizza and an extensive Italian menu here in Scotland Neck. Honestly the pizza I had tonight ranks right up there with some of the best I've had. This place is a totally unexpected gem.

The owner and chef came out to talk with us and answer questions.
The homeade bread was the best bread I ever eaten!
The homemade strawberry cake...cake was delicate and light and melted in your mouth and the icing light and flavorful.
The FOOD...OMGOODNESS...
My FIL is Italian, grew up in N.J. and said this was the best restaurant Italian food he had ever eaten and said, "close to the cooking from the little old Italian ladies from my childhood."

Our server, Logan, she was so sweet and attentive.
The server helping her with the pretty braided updo was also sweet. They both were cleaning and making maintaining a clean environment a priority in between taking great care of customers.
They have a beautiful covered patio as well...when the weather gets tiny bit warmer it will be so nice to done outside under the string lights.
Thank you for a lovely experience as we were celebrating my birthday with my wife's Mama and Step- Father!

Everyone is so kind. The food is made and served at the temperature it should be. Wines are delicious and also served at the temperature they should be. No more putting ice cubes in your wine only to have it watered down. Every time I am in town I eat there. The owner comes around to see if we had any questions and didn’t rush his answers. The Best!!
