We had several excellent appointments at Charleston Veterinary Cardiology. Dr. Jacobson helped us get our dog’s CHF under control and we are forever grateful!! The whole team and experience were amazing! Thank you so very much!!

Dr. Jacobson and his staff provided compassionate care for our dog, Sammy. Communication, explanations, attention to details were outstanding. The office space is immaculate and professionally presented and maintained. We were well pleased with our experience.

Wonderful experience. First time there and was greeted upon arrival in a friendly manner. Environment is clean, welcoming, comfortable. They have drinks and snacks for the humans in the waiting room too :) Above all, the staff is great. Front desk is polite and welcoming as well as the techs! Doctor Jake Jacobson asked all the right questions to get me thinking about symptoms my dog has, which have become normal to me over time, to help narrow down what my dogs issue could be. It was a discussion which I appreciate very much and my concerns weren’t dismissed at all. I wasn’t rushed and you can tell he genuinely cares about and loves what he does. Very thankful for this referral.

Sadly, some unfortunate circumstances brought us here, but what a lovely veterinary practice! The entire staff was professional and incredibly friendly from the initial phone call, to the check in process, to the visit with Dr. Jake. My pup absolutely HATES going to the vet, but he was so calm and at ease with these folks. The lobby was cozy but we didn’t even get a chance to sit because they called us back as soon as we got checked in. The exam room we were brought to was comfortable with nice mood lighting and tasteful decor. I feel like I’m reviewing a restaurant or hotel lol, but really, it was the nicest vet practice I’ve ever been to. It’s amazing what a little aesthetics can do for both a dog and his mom. We received exceptional care at Charleston Veterinary Cardiology and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a heart specialist for their pup!

Dr Jake Jacobson and his staff are phanominal! We have never experienced such compassion and professionalism while needing care for any of our pets. The facility is extremely clean and comfortable. We are amazed how Dr Jake replies so quickly; any time, any day. Not that we want to have to visit often but we love this place. Dr Jake you Rock!

Charming office with lovely staff and great doctor. Dr. Jacobson took the time to explain my cat’s condition thoroughly and even drew a visual aid to help. Dealing with pets’ health challenges can be quite stressful, but the team at Charleston Veterinary Cardiology made a tough time manageable. Highly recommend!

I love and trust this staff wholeheartedly. They are so friendly, super efficient and Dr. Jake is very educational, genuine and down to earth. He’s worth every penny - especially for handling my grumpy little chihuahua with such grace! He made our visit today super fun!

Going to the vet, especially when there is potential for bad news, can be hard, but we were immediately put at ease by the professional, compassionate staff. Dr. Jacobson is thorough, confident, incredibly patient and compassionate, and intelligent. He talked us through possible scenarios and explained exactly what he thinks is happening with our precious dog-ter. The staff was very knowledgeable, professional and attentive to our dog and us. Dr. Jake Jacobson made the visit very comfortable from the beginning, coming out to meet us in the lobby as we arrived. He spent a lot of time explaining her condition and helping us understand her the follow-up treatment that would be needed.
The office was very quiet and calm, which really helped our nervous dog.

Beautiful, clean office and friendly staff. They took my pup and I back quickly and I had virtually no waiting time at all. The examination and echocardiogram were done efficiently.
Afterward Dr. Jacobson patiently explained my dog's heart murmur with its risks and potential for progression (while drawing a diagram on a white board). My visit was a breeze and I will happily go back to Dr. Jacobson next year for annual check up.

Dr. Jacobson swiftly saw my dog after my referral veterinarian called. Immediately treated her and continues to treat her for pulmonary hypertension. It has been about 4 weeks since the first few visits, but everything is going very well for my dog. Continues to be monitored by Dr. Jacobson. The office staff are wonderful, the veterinary nurses very good. The medication ordering is convenient, so is how quick notes and invoices are emailed to you.

Dr Jacobson was wonderful with explaining what exactly is going on with our sweet Pyrenees/Shepard 8 years old puppy. His directness and familiarity of the heart, it's functions and the conditions that affect it are something you absolutely want at time when you're needing a cardiologist for your dog. For two of the longest days of my life, we were teetering between overwhelming panic that our dog's condition was terminal and a belief that our pup's heart issues were possibly treatable. We honestly had no idea what the outcome would be as this all dropped on us so fast. Dr. Jacobson's medication recommendations seem to be working as within less than a 24 hour time period, our guy is breathing normally, has stopped coughing/gagging at the smallest stimulation, has slept through the night and finally ate a full meal. Easiest 5-star rating I've ever given.

We brought our Shih-Tzu in this morning. The staff was wonderful. Dr Jacobson came out and introduced himself. He was very personable and asked about Arabella. After examining her he came out and said he would give her an echocardiogram to check her heart out. After the procedure Dr Jacobson returned and shared his findings. Arabella was treated very well. She was happy and playful. Thankfully, her heart is fine and we do not need to go back. I would highly recommend Charleston Veterinary Cardiology. Thank you to Dr Jacobson and his staff. You all were wonderful.

Highly recommend the team at Charleston Veterinary Cardiology. They were extremely professional, time oriented and efficient. Dr. Jacobson welcomed me and my dog and he answered all of my questions. The team in front was very pleasant to work with. My dog was very sad to leave.

Dr. Jacobson was phenomenal is every aspect! Professional, knowledgeable, empathetic but most of all spent the time with us explaining everything in detail and ensured we understand our sweet boy's health issues.

We are so grateful to the entire staff of Charleston Veterinary Cardiology for helping our sweet girl Sandy make it to her 18th birthday! Dr. Jacobson explained her condition so well and gave us the necessary meds to prolong her life! We were gifted with almost an extra year with our girl and we will forever be grateful!
