This was the worst dental experience that I have ever had. The staff is rude and unprofessional especially the blond chubby receptionist. The Dr is never there and they are only open like 1 day a week for the sleep apnea mouth piece. I was very excited to finally have a device to help me with my sleep apnea so I took time out of my schedule to get fitted for a mouth piece. When I went back to get the mouth piece 3 weeks later it didn't fit. And the red headed nurse really hurt my teeth trying to force it to fit. After about 45 mins of trying to make it fit, I told her to stop and I left. I made an appointment to come back another time but after thinking about it I decided to never go back there again. About 3months later I received a bill for the mouth piece that I never took home. Luckily I once I explained it to the care credit company they cleared it but just the fact that I had to do that really makes me mad.

This place is a joke don't waste your time

I do not recommend Dr. John Lee Farringer at Green Hills Dental Group for treatment of sleep disorders. I do a lot of traveling and was referred to him for a consultation to see if I would be a good candidate for an oral appliance to treat my obstructive sleep apnea. The experience I had was unacceptable, unprofessional, and very costly.

When making an appointment I was informed that Dr. Farringer only works one day a week and found it difficult to get an appointment; especially follow-up appointments. More than once when arriving for my appointment, I waited at the reception desk for 10-15 minutes before anyone came out to check me in. Calling out to get someone to hear me didn't work. Construction workers were present in the back of the building but no employees were to be found.

At my initial session, there was no personalized consultation. Dr. Farringer told me that he creates a high quality, comfortable, and reliable device for patients. I agreed to proceed even though I didn't have a high level of confidence that this was the right solution for my treatment. He didn't ask about or want any information about my experience with CPAP, the results of my sleep study, or the amount of air pressure prescribed by my sleep doctor. After a few minutes demonstrating how an oral appliance works, he had his assistant make a mold of my mouth. When that was finished, I was waiting for the Doctor to come back in and after 15-20 minutes, the receptionist came in for me to sign the purchase agreement then told me I was finished and would be contacted when the device was ready. I left the office and 10 minutes later the receptionist called me and asked me to come back. They weren't finished with my fitting. When the device was ready, I scheduled an appointment for the fitting. Dr. Farringer told me that about 90% of the devices need no adjustments when they arrive but if they do, he showed me how to adjust the device by turning the screw ¼ turn on both sides each night until my jaw was positioned correctly to keep my air passage open all night. With no success after three weeks, I made a follow-up visit and let Dr. Farringer know that the device was not moving my lower jaw forward even after numerous turns as instructed. He simply advised that I keep making adjustment each night until I got to the right level. For a device and "consultation" that costs over $2K, I expected him to take ownership of my treatment and satisfaction after all, he is the Doctor. After 5 weeks and more that 150 quarter turns on each side, the device moved my jaw enough to keep my airway open so I could fall asleep. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism kept slipping which allowed my lower jaw to return to the natural position, thus causing apnea episodes that would wake me. Once again I made another appointment and explained my experience to Dr. Farringer. He responded that what I described was not possible with that device and that I simply needed to keep turning to tighten the device. At that point, I realized that I had made a very costly mistake by placing my trust in Dr. Farringer. I ended this experience by putting the oral device back in the storage container under the bathroom sink, and returned to using CPAP.
Today, I had an annual check-up with my sleep doctor and shared this experience since they referred me. I hope no one else has an experience like this, but if so, please tell the physician that referred you to Dr. Farringer

For me, the only remedy will be a full refund for the defective or un-adjustable device and the consultation I never received. However, I'm not going to lose any sleep waiting.
