Allen Edmonds

I went into the store on a whim, my girlfriend told me it was a great brand. I was looking for Chelsea boots and I didn’t know anything about Allen Edmonds. I had been into other stores in the mall with no luck. I saw the price tag on the shoes I liked and realized I may be looking out of my budget. However, I was approached by Ashley who runs the store who immediately started working through my questions and concerns. She explained to me how AE sizes people and offered to help me get started there.

After getting my size I started trying on boots and I was hit with many more worries about the initial fit of the shoe as I was going to be making quite the investment. Ashley was incredibly patient and went above and beyond to ease my concerns about fit and explain what was going to happen as I wore the shoe in. I spent nearly an hour or more in the store being indecisive between two sizes of shoe.

Ashley suggested I take the shoe I liked best home and wear it on the carpet in my room. I came back the next day to again go back and forth between two sizes of shoe. Ashley again sat with me helping to guide me through my anxieties about investing in such a costly shoe.

I ended up staying another hour that day and left with a shoe that I now love. If I knew anyone looking to get a nice shoe or boot I would without a doubt sent them to Ashley. Her patience, knowledge, customer service, and overall personality made me feel like I was being heard and treated like a friend not just some customer.

I am super grateful to the staff at the Charleston store. I had some issues with a pair of boots I had to return twice and in both cases the team helped me to return (and sent shipping labels, bless them!) and ensured that I got a magnificent pair of boots in the end. Seriously the best customer care of any store I've ever been to, in any segment of retail (and this is coming from a suit salesman for a high end men's clothing store). I will absolutely come back. Every member of the staff is incredibly competent, able to make decisions, and helpful. I'm both grateful and exceptionally impressed.

This review is more about my buying experience at this store than the shoes themselves. If you don't know much about Allen Edmonds shoes, go do some research online and you will quickly find that they are top notch, they will basically last forever, and once you find your correct size the shoes will fit like a glove.

I had been contemplating buying my first pair of Allen Edmonds for a while. When I saw they were having their Rediscover America sale, I knew it was time to buy. I had done my homework online and decided I wanted a pair of walnut Strands, but wasn't sure exactly what size I needed since I had never really been properly fitted for a pair of nice shoes. Jeff at the store was extremely helpful in determining the correct size for me. I had to try on a couple different sizes and Jeff explained in detail why the first one I tried wasn't the exact size I needed, even though I thought it felt fine. He was right, the second pair was an even better fit. After determining my size and trying on a different pair made on the same last/mold, Jeff had to order them since they didn't have a C width in the store in the walnut Strand. They arrived at my house 2 days later. The shoes are great, and the entire buying process/experience couldn't have been any better. Before I left the store Jeff gave me his card and told me to give him a call if I needed anything or had any problems.

The employees at this store definitely know their stuff and are extremely knowledgeable about the shoes they carry. They are not just cashiers at your average shoe store whose only job is to run your credit card and send you on your way. I can't wait to go back and get another pair, and I will be recommending these shoes and this store to all my friends and co-workers. Thankfully I only live 15 minutes from the store, but now I understand why folks drive from several hours away just to go here.

You truly get what you pay for. The associates will look at my husband's profile and see what worked for him last time and recommend a good shoe. They spend the time going through feel and comfort. Additionally, the warranty on the shoe is amazing. They hold up extremely well, but if even the smallest thing needs a repair, they handle it at no cost. If you're tired of shoes falling apart on you, make the investment and go here. You'll see the difference, immediately!

One of the best retail experiences I've ever had. I have actually never been to the store and have done everything over the phone from Atlanta. I have mostly worked with Ashley who has been fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure I find the best available style for the look I want, and then will personally track down the best looking pair. They have earned a repeat customer and Ashley and the team there are my "go to" whenever I need something. Overall fantastic experience.

Someone needs to pay Ashley more money. This chick gave me the best service I've ever had in a retail store. Ever.

I had stopped in around Christmas to check out the shoes (I was unfamiliar with the brand/style), and Ashley, a self-proclaimed "shoe addict," told me literally everything I could ever wanna know about these black Higgins Mills boots I was looking at. I didn't have time to fuss with sizing the first time and wasn't ready to pull the trigger on a pair of $280 boots, so I rolled out.

But I remembered her. And these gnarly boots.

A few days ago, I saw they were having a sale so I stopped in. My boots were on sale and Ashley remembered me from EIGHT MONTHS AGO. She remembered I am a musician and that I destroy shoes. Haha She even remembered what model I was looking at. THAT is customer service. Holy cow. She got me fitted in a dope pair of boots (now priced $195) and I wore them out of the store. The boots are breaking in wonderfully and are comfortable.

The shoes are built better than any shoe I've worn and the service was better than any I've had. This was my first pair of Allen Edmonds, but It won't be my last.

Allen Edmonds makes beautiful, high quality men's shoes. They're not cheap, more of an investment than a purchase, but the Charleston outlet had some great deals and with the help of the great folks on staff, I finally took the plunge.

Kenard, Kristen and the team were very knowledgeable and professional, and helped me find and size what I was looking for. They were able to order different sizes from the Kittery outlet and then emailed me when they arrived.

The quality of the team is on par with that of my awesome new Gridirons. They made shopping for shoes a fun and successful experience, and even posed for a picture for my vacation album. I'll definitely be back!

Let me start by saying that I have a very difficult shoe size, I usually have to buy from the shoe bank and have limited options. The most recent time I called to make a purchase, the sales rep RJ, and the manager Ashely were INCREDIBLE. They walked me through the process of how to order shoes that were originally custom but were deemed seconds and are thus at a discount. Ashely and her team systematically called the other AE stores and found me a pair of Jeffersons for $99. Talk about a steal! Additionally Ashely mentioned that she would keep me in mind for when they get my unique size in and reach out to me. The staff here is amazing and I plan making my future orders through them.

Allen Edmonds is a top-drawer Shear product and I enjoy the shop. I purchase some golf shoes which I don't think they any longer make but that work fine for me. First class

Raul was very patient with me and very professional. He is one of the reasons I do business with Allen Edmonds. Several of my pairs of shoes are now 20 years old. They hold up and are timeless.

This store is real. Has high quality leather shoes. The prices are high but you get quality, look, and feel of a good shoe that will last a long time.

Staff at the store was incredible. The shoes are pretty darn good too! One of the few American made shoes you can buy, and all made by hand.
