Very friendly people

I don’t normally get gas here, but I was in a hurry and chose this place since it was quick to access. Bad idea. The screen on the gas pump was almost impossible to read and the pump were VERY slow—I don’t know if that is normal or not, but I ended up only having time to get a couple of gallons.

Uhm, I've had a bad experience or two.
But I'm also new to this part of Lufkin.
If that means anything.

Believe it or not, the discrimination comes from a place I could generally relate to, instead I've felt lots of backlash and derogative insight.

A little too pricey and the staff could use some customer service training

This location is no longer Brooks and you can sure tell. Here is a little bit about the new owner. I am an ordained minister and I performed a wedding ceremony for the cashier at this location today. She asked for today off to get married. She requested this day off 3 weeks ago. Her regular day off every week has been Wednesdays. Yes she only would get one day off a week. So she took her day off and her requested day off to get married. After the ceremony she called to find out what time she needed to be at work tomorrow because she doesn't have a set schedule. She has worked her self to death for this owner. She has worked 10, 12, 14,.16.hour days. Would close then open the very next day. So when she called to find out her time for tomorrow he terminated her. Why? Because she took off for her wedding the entire day instead of just part of it. Don't give this owner business. He doesn't deserve with the way he treats his employees. Plus the store is filthy the health department needs to be involved in this nastiness.

They don’t put prices on any of their products. The only way to find out what something costs is to have them scan it at the register. I could remember being in the store With a bunch of kids Who were constantly going back-and-forth getting costs on candy so they would know what they can spend their money on. I know that they were getting on their nerves but who’s fault is that. And I sure ain’t going to take the stuff back and put it where I got it from. I will say this though none of the people are rude and I don’t want to be rude either but it is annoying when you go in there and there are no prices and it makes me feel like I’m getting on their nerves because I have them scan stuff.

Poor customer service time after time smh🤦‍♂
