Great little cafe in downtown Denison. Soups, salads, sandwiches, and of course coffee.

Great local place for soups, salads, sandwiches and pastries. They also have a great coffee bar. All food items are made from scratch daily. Locally owned and operated. This is a must stop for breakfast or lunch if your in downtown historic Denison Texas!

Really good stuff here. Everything tastes wonderful and attention to detail is impressive. The only thing I didn't like is that side salads are served in these awkward cardboard bowls and they fall out easily onto the table. But everything else is 100% wonderful.

One of my favorite cafes! Prices are pretty good considering portion size and quality of food. There’s always a good variety of sandwiches and desserts on the menu. The new coffee bar is a big hit.

I absolutely love Café Blackbird. Their garden salad with Greek dressing, the Hippie veggie sandwich, and the Greek sandwich are among my favorite things to order. The portions are large, prices are very reasonable, and everything is fresh and delicious. The desserts are another major highlight - BEST cookies ever!! I always just get my orders to-go, but need to hang out in there and dine in one day. Employees are always friendly, and I can’t recommend this place enough.

Driving through town and stopped for a coffee. Ordered a vanilla latte to go. From the first sip to the last the coffee was amazing. Served just at the right temperature. Will stop on the way back.

Great place to eat and visit!! Love it! Had tomato basil soup today, which was fantastic! Their bread is fanominal also. If you haven't been there....you definitely need to go.

Cafe Blackbird was great! The ambience was warm and the food was delicious. When it’s warmer outside and the road construction has been finished, sitting outside is a must!

I had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Blackbird today, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Located in the heart of downtown Denison, there is ample street parking, making it easily accessible.

Upon entering, I was immediately charmed by the lovely little guest book nestled among shelves of merchandise. What a unique touch! They even have a special offer where you receive a free coffee with the purchase of a new book.

The atmosphere at Cafe Blackbird is warm and inviting, and the interactions with the staff were nothing short of friendly. Ordering was a breeze at the counter, and they provide a number for your table, ensuring that your food is delivered promptly.

Now, let's talk about the food. We ordered The Hippie sandwich and a half strawberry salad, as well as a half toasted turkey sandwich with a cup of the soup of the day. The portions were more than generous for a quick lunch, and every bite tasted wonderfully fresh. The combination of flavors in each dish was a real treat for the taste buds.

Cafe Blackbird has left us eager to return and explore more of their menu options, and I've heard their desserts are not to be missed. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this charming establishment. You won't be disappointed!

The sandwich and dessert was outstanding. The service was perfect. A great experience. Our party had 4 in it and everyone loved what they ordered.

Excellent location for lunch. Soup, salads, sandwiches, coffee, tea and dessert. Quiet place to meet up with friends and family. Service is excellent. Food is good. You won't be disappointed.

THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD! We got there right as the looked like they were closing (even though their Google posting says they close at 6PM & it was 145PM). We both got the Toasted turkey sandwiches & they were huge! So yummy - you can tell they have artisanal touches behind their items. We followed it with some sticky toffee pudding from the dessert case - which was AMAZING! We will be back & hopefully won’t feel like we gotta leave so soon after eating. 👍🏼

Our first visit was on a Saturday just before noon. The first thing we noticed was how beautiful and industrial farmhouse the little porch of the restaurant was. Inside was just as lovely. It was busy but the line wasn't very long and went quickly. The cashier was friendly. We did wait a few minutes longer than expected for grilled cheeses and tomato soup (and it was a little pricier than other local restaurants) but it was worth it. The soup was unique from any tomato soup we have had, and was very flavorful and good. The bread on the grilled cheese was super fresh and crisped perfectly. The iced tea was delicious and so different! I don't get folks need to complain and immortalize 2020 with their review- I agree with another reviewer when they said these harsh reviewers must not be locals! Welcome to Denison, Cafe Blackbird. We wish you success and will be back to try more of your menu! Thank you for bringing such charm to Main Street.

This is such a cute and family friendly cafe. We were big fans of the fresh bread and soups. The Greek quickly became our favorite menu item and they have great pastries and desserts. I was pleasantly surprised to see creme brulee one Saturday. Definitely worth stopping by.

Adorable place / atmosphere and excellent food! If I didn’t live an hour away I would be in a lot more often. My kids loved the specialty drinks- lavender latte I think? And chai tea was delicious. I am a big review reader, and also a small business owner myself- I have to say the only low reviews this place has seem to be about the staff not and customers not wearing masks - a year ago … 🤦🏻‍♀ To me- that’s even more of a reason I will go out of my way to support this business now, and in the future. To the owners: keep doing what you’re doing!

Super cute restaurant and food was wonderful. I had the soup and salad while my friend had salad and the Cuban sandwich. The tea was delicious and atmosphere was so great. Highly recommend! We drooled over the incredible desserts but did not partake. Next trip I will not resist!

This place was so good! The Greek sandwich is so good. That sauce was amazing. They brought out a fresh thing of blueberry bread pudding. It was out of this world. They have this open kitchen in the middle. You can see them making your sandwiches. No, they aren’t wearing masks and they give you the option to do so. If you don’t like it the. You don’t have to wait in the long line to order. In my opinion I’m glad they aren’t enforcing it and so was everyone else in there. They definitely deserve 5 stars because their sandwiches and soup are outstanding.
