I come here when I need something specific to wear like if I have to wear something blue, I know I can find something in that color. Some stuff is over priced, I believe, since it's all used clothing. If they're going to charge $15 for a pair of pants, you could just go buy it brand new for the same price. The dishes, glasses, decorations - majority of non clothing items are priced too high. Remember, they're all used items. This store gets a lot of customers so check out line gets long a lot. One cashier spent the whole time talking to another employee in Spanish while ringing up a customer. I think that's just rude. (Especially if you speak Spanish and understood what she was saying, I could care less what her boyfriend is fighting about with her this week) I recommend this thrift store to people.

This place is amazing. They have a little bit of everything. Great prices on most things. It's a little messy but it's because of the customers. It gets so busy the workers can't keep up with the mess. But I love it. The workers are very friendly and polite. The atmosphere is welcoming as well.

This is one of my favorite thrift stores. I’ve been shopping here for over 12 years. . I love the way it’s all very organized. They have everything color coded. It’s pleasing to the eye! Friendly staff. Prices are usually great. They always have mark downs too. Very affordable. I have noticed lately the prices going up a bit. I like that you can get a discount on Sundays if you buy during the week. Only thing is if you don’t go on Sundays to use the discount, you miss out. I wish they’d change that. Other than that I love this place. Best one I’ve been to so far.

Like shopping here, however they need to invest in shopping carts. Its difficult to shop while fighting with your broken down carts. I'm sure cost isn't a problem, since its always busy. How about being nice to your customers

Largest selection of men's clothing I've seen at any thrift store. Two full isles of jackets and coats (including plenty of leather)! Mistake to go on a cold and wet Sunday, however, easily 200 people shopping and the checkout line literally circled the store. It was worth it, though, I got four coats, two sweaters, a half dozen long sleeve shirts and a box of Christmas cards for under $45.

Update: Still the best thrift shop I've been to in San Antonio for selection. Wait time for cashiers is, as noted in all reviews, unnecessary long and tedious and, I'm convinced, is mostly intentional. Manual input of odd priced items into older style registers is time consuming, no doubt. Add in cashier distractions, breaks, disdain for customers, dissatisfaction with their job, management who allows and possibly encourages this behavior, and a customer base already largely accustomed to bad treatment and long wait times. Complaining has not and will not make a difference, upset customers are the norm as are long wait times for grouchy cashiers. Consider it part of the experience, be odd and have a good time! Smile and make people wonder what you're up to! Remember, it's not the destination, it's the journey.

I love shopping here! It keeps the memory of my grandmother alive in my heart web I shop at FTC. When I was younger, my grandma would bring my cousin and me to get a toy or two every month when she got her check and then we would either grab some Church's Chicken or go down to Floyd's and grab the burger special. Family Thrift Center also has some great deals and I love looking through everything....the radio station isn't bad either lol😂

I love shopping there. They always
Have something different everyday.
They have homeinterior items. Which
I love. My husband bought a saw for
$20.00 bucks. Its Battery operated.
We needed a saw, and got lucky
To come across one. Its cheaper
Than brandnew.

I went to the thrift today and I had a good visit, I needed a sweater and a scarf when I was done with tht, I went to the front by the cashier, I realized I needed some cream for my hands so I started browsing in the glass counters for some cream as I was looking, a women by the name of Sally approached me and asked if I wanted to see some things ,I said yes I need some cream because my hands get very dry, so she said "yes I will help you", I just have to say she went above and beyond to help me find the right cream she took alot of different creams and products to find the best choice she was very nice and sweet very kind hearted I just adored her. Thanks so much Sally!! We need more people like you in this world. ❤👍😊

I love this thrift store! I'm so glad I'm back on the south side where I'm close to it again. I've visited a lot of thrift stores and this one has a wide selection of (women's and kids) clothes and it is well organized, clean, and has an efficient check out process. I've just moved back to the area after 9 years, but I even used to find brand new clothes for my boys - tags still on them - when I shopped then. I always check thrift store finds for stains and tears, etc., you never know what might have gotten by the folks who put them on the racks, but I usually get the best stuff for the best price right here at this store. Yesterday I got 7 good quality dresses for $34, woohoo, love it!

The main draw backs are: there are only 2 fitting rooms (often thrift stores don't have fitting rooms at all), and the place is usually packed, so I rarely try things on, I figure for the $2-5 bucks I pay per item, I'll just give them to my church or something if they don't fit. Another would be if you have a question the only ones to ask are the cashier's who are usually swamped and can't leave the front to help you. Finally, the space Is kinda cramped in the aisles and there are usually a lot of people in there - oh yeah, and very few carts to use; I usually end up with a bunch of stuff slung over my shoulder.
