They took excellent care of Frankie the frenchie when she got overheated and went into respiratory distress. She made a full recovery. They were so nice and good at giving me updates on her as they treated her. I would definitely recommend them for all emergency animal care.

I had no idea this facility existed until Thursday... my lil buddy Fidget was sick with a blockage in his colon, and we were trying some last treatments to keep him with us a little longer. We brought him here for an overnight stay and I was so impressed and thankful for the staff that took care of him, especially because he was known to be a handful at the vet sometimes.

They seemed so compassionate about him and did not mind when I called late at night to check in on him. They also called the next day to check in with us when we did not bring him back to continue the treatments. Sadly he had passed away at his regular vet that morning, but I really appreciated that kindness. All the staff I spoke with were wonderful and I am confident he was in great hands while he was there.
Thank you so much for all you did for Fidget.

I am so grateful for this Emergency Clinic. We have used them several times with our cats and dog and each experience has been great, even under difficult circumstances. We never want our animals to get sick or hurt, but it happens, and when it happens in the middle of the night or early morning, this clinic has been our only resource to count on. Yes, it is costly, as any emergency visit would be, but at each visit we were given options to choose from and were given the opportunity to accept the treatment or not. The care of the animal is most important to the vet and vet assistants, but ultimately it is up to the owner to make the final financial decision, so I don't understand why people complain about the expense of the visit. Considering the circumstances, it has been well worth it to me. On our last visit we were even given a credit/refund when we were able to pick up our dog earlier than expected. And, the vet assistant went above and beyond to provide all paperwork needed with EVERYTHING that was done to our dog while in their care. I 100% recommend Grayson County Animal Emergency Clinic for after hour vet care.

We came here to put down our baby Loki, who had leukemia. The staff were nice, and I've never had a pet euthanized, so here two things I learned from this to help you in his little honor.

1. If there's more bad days than good/neutral, schedule a home euthanasia. I had my baby 11 years and he could have and should have died at home.

2. Get sedation with the injection obviously, but know once a human is sedated we aren't aware of anything, including goodbyes. I speak as someone who's job it is to remove terminal people from ventilators for a living.
I don't see why that would be different for a pet. So that means the last thing he saw was strangers in a room away from us hurting him with a catheter. I heard him meowing, and they were just doing their jobs. I just 100% wish I asked them to stay in the room with me.

Hope this helps someone out there.

Excellent! I arrived not knowing what was going on with my fur baby, they did a complete work up, followed up with me on price before any treatment was rendered. They took the time to thoroughly explain her results & made sure I understood the medication regimen they put her on before leaving. We were in & out in a very short amount of time! Very satisfied with the Dr & staff. I’m so thankful they were open & ready to care for my baby. She’s feeling much better!

My dog was having back to back seizures. It was like it was one constant seizure. As soon as I walked in the door the recognized that I needed help NOW. I ended up having to leave him there overnight. They were so kind and courteous and were so patient with me making several phone calls checking on his status. They seemed to really care about my dog and me.

They were able to take care of my furbaby as soon as we walked in and walked me through each step that they were taking to care for my furbaby. I appreciate the patience they had when I repeated back the instructions for meds. Just wanted to be sure I heard them right. Thank you so much!

Words can't describe how greatful me and little dog are for the staff and care she received. We came in early Saturday morning with no hope and bad news from the vet we came from "she was brutally attacked" that she wouldn't make it. Though that was talked about never once did I feel she wouldn't once we arrived there was no time wasted and a care plan was made. I called to check in always answered with updates 10/10 will be back if any other emergency's were to happen.

Christmas early morning hours 12:40am we took our senior fur-baby for pain, moaning, couldn't get comfortable or sleep and coughing because of congestive heart failure. He was treated very well. The medication seems to have helped him ease the pain. Friendly staff and Dr. We've never had bad treatment from them from 2019 to now, 2023. Always sweet, kind, courteous, caring people who have been so sweet with our baby every time. We've even had to leave him overnight and he was treated well. I was able to call and check on him during the night. When we need to take him during the night or weekend, this is where our baby goes. We've been happy so far. Of course, we always check with our regular Dr. Grayson Riddle or Dr. Lange afterwards to follow up.

Today was an incredibly emotional day. I brought our cat, Heathcliff in as he was in pain. I was unsure as what was the cause, however I thought he was constipated. When I brought him in I had mentioned that he may have a urinary tract infection. Christian came in and did an exam an sonogram and found that he did, but it was much more severe. I could not praise this man anymore for how he treats his patients (my cat) and their human owners. Heathcliff was in a great deal of pain when I brought him and I honestly didn’t know if he was going to make it. Sadly, he didn’t, but not because they didn’t do everything they could to help my baby. Christian and his staff are one of the kindest vets offices I’ve ever been in and not only were they so gentle with my cat who was in pain, but so compassionate with me after he passed. They gave me all the time I want to say my goodbyes to my sweet boy and said all the right things. Thank you for being so caring. I know where to come for my other four legged babies in an emergency. My heart is broken, but Heathcliff is not in pain. His brother misses him. 💔

Our dog Casey, slipped and fell during the winter storm and unfortunately was in a lot of pain on Christmas Eve. The staff, Jodi, Brooke, another technician who helped us carry her, and Dr. Murray were kind and empathetic, and both Brooke and Dr. Murray did a great job explaining our options and what we could do to help her out. I'm happy to report that she's doing much better than I expected, and (though she's mostly on bedrest) has been able to walk outside and potty on her own! I'm thankful the staff was there to help us after hours, honestly, for me the prices were very reasonable for services offered, their emergency fee was less expensive than other clinics I am familiar with, and they offered gold standard care. Unfortunately emergencies are expensive by nature, and it kind of comes with the territory.

The doctor and his assistant were very thorough and explained everything in detail. My yorkie became extremely ill 2 weeks ago and was having a relapse. I would definitely recommend them.

I recently had a scary experience with my older dog, one that happened after hours. I called Grayson County in a panic and they told me to come right in. I was greeted by friendly and concerned staff. Tests that were recommended were explained why and costs before any commitment. A thorough explanation of the examination and tests followed as my dog was being treated. I was given all the bloodwork results, X-rays and complete file to follow up with my regular vet. I highly recommend this committed, caring and thorough staff at Grayson County Emergency Vet!!

Very happy we have an emergency vet in the area. We have had to use them 3 times for our “problem child”. They always show compassion, caring, and understanding. Definitely worth the price to have emergency care available when our regular vet is unavailable after hours. Thank you again Everyone at the clinic for helping out girl Biscuit. She gives y’all TWO PAWS UP!!!

We were in a panic and arrived at 11p. Our dog was in horrible pain. They told us that nothing was broken and gave our dog a pain shot and medication so we could get through the night until our vet appointment in the morning. Our dog is healing, but i don’t know what we would have done without them. They are great people and very caring to us and our dog. It is more expensive than a regular vet bill, but then they are 24hr…we would use them again if we needed to…
