I’m from Dallas and this is def one of the best spots around! Everything I have tried has been really good & the staff are very nice! Definitely recommend!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience! Although we ordered to-go, the food was still fantastic. The pork tamales were incredibly moist and flavorful - some of the best I've ever had. I also tried the beans, which had a delicious smoky taste that really elevated the dish. The menu options were varied, and there was something for everyone. The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. 10/10

My brother got delicious chicken enchiladas with black beans and rice and enjoyed the meal so much. I enjoyed my breakfast taco, potato, eggs and bacon. The restaurant is clean and quaint. Food is delicious. And the staff are wonderful. We'll be back soon again.

Amazing handmade tamales! You can tell they're homemade - the maza is so flavorful. Top two are the chicken tamales and jalapeño/cheese tamales. They're also a really great size!! Also picked up a horchata and Jamaica tea drink. So good!

Food is excellent and Maria is welcoming, kind and helpful. I recommend the following: the chicken tamales with green poblano sauce, the sweet potatoe tamale if you want something sweet. Carne de res soup is fantastic. Enjoy :)

Popular spot for a reason 😊 Mole sauce had depth of flavor. The salsas are excellent - whether you like pico de gallo or creamy with major heat. Find room for freshly made churros!

I wish I would have taken photos of the food instead of stuffing my face but the food here was amazing. The prices were really good and if you need to feed a bunch of people they have trays you can order which feed a bunch of people and are really fairly priced.

The refried beans here where hands down the best I have ever had anywhere in the USA, everything else was top tier in terms of portion size and flavor.

I'm deeply saddened that I live in PA as I would stop here weekly if I lived in Austin.

We eat here all the time. Nice people, great food, fair prices, fast service. Best tacos in the neighborhood!

To be honest, I have only had their breakfast tacos and beef burritos, but they were very good. The migas tacos with chorizo are my favorite, absolutely outstanding. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Very friendly owners and staff.

The cheese enchiladas and tamales are really good. We have received the correct order every time we have ordered for takeout. We will be back.

A hidden gem. Very unassuming spot with lots of cool Austin vibes. I remember this place when i was a teen. They are still fantastic. I always get the chicken tamales and a watermelon agua fresca when they have it. They also have awesome breakfast tacos. Good eats and great service.

Talk about a HIDDEN GEM- and it’s hiding in plain sight! What an amazing surprise when I had my plate delivered. This is the kind of place you take anyone to impress them with your knowledge of authentic Mexican food spots. I always judge a spot on their rice, charro beans and salsa - and I’m a huge fan of theirs.

Great tamales, really interesting sweet flavors like strawberry and sweet potato. We also had chicken and pork, both were very flavorful as was the salsa that came with them.

Carnitas, chicken fajita, pastor, bean & cheese, egg & chorizo, and chilaquiles, they are all delicious!

Update: They are using better containers and have been excellent the last few times I've ordered. Bumping my review from ⭐⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love this place so I hope I can write a better review in the future but unfortunately the last couple of times I've been I've had some bad experiences.

I usually get the Pork in Green Salsa, which is phenomenal. Getting it to go is not ideal because the stew is so hot that it melts the styrofoam containers. They need better containers for food that is too hot for styrofoam.

Today I got the Pork in Green Salsa with double rice (no beans) but they gave me double beans (no rice). I called to let them know and the person that answered said "Oh yeah that was a mistake in the kitchen" and said to come back to get the rice. I could not go back because of work.

They didn't offer a refund and said to come back next time and they'll give me the rice. I'm not even sure if there'll be a next time.

I ordered two dishes from this place and both were amazing. The previous reviews are right about this restaurant. I will be back for sure!
