Friends & Fidos visit Buda and Proof Deli came through with magnificent sandwiches on Good Friday! The hot Reuben was fabulous, the Dali Lama was so delicious especially on Good Friday (!) and the Smoking Bird was out of this world. The doggies were treated to water and felt especially welcomed; the weather made the event quite memorable!

One of the best sandwiches in the area. Their Empanadas for me are incredible. They rival those of Buenos Aires cafe in Austin, except the ones here at Proof Liquor are bigger! Really welcoming local atmosphere as well. Also has good vegetarian options. Truly a hidden gem.

Stopped by for this Tequila tasting! Sherri was so helpful and also pointed out this Orange Liquor. It’s from Mexico and an Agave based Spirit! Excited to try in my margaritas.

A great local deli and liquor stop.
Their Reubens and cheese steak sandwiches are very good and my wife can’t get enough of their Athena sandwich.

This place is incredible! Not only do they have an excellent selection of beverages from non-alcoholic like sparkling apple juice to pre-mixed drinks, but everything I've had from the deli has been fantastic! You are always greeted when you walk in the door. If you haven't checked them out yet, you should!

We had a company event in Buda and needed to find some good sandwiches for all 30 employees. We wanted to support local and ran across Proof Liquor and Deli. We were not disappointed!! These sandwiches were stuffed and delicious. We had to order in advance for pickup and they had everything ready on time and boxed perfectly! Highly recommend Proof Liquor and Deli!

Seriously the best sandwich spot in the Austin/Buda area for the price. It tastes gourmet, yet made with love. Every time my family comes here we are greeted with smiles, suggestions, and the most hidden gem of a sandwich you can get! Highly recommended!

My favorite local liquor store! The employees are always welcoming and helpful. There's tastings here often and a deli inside. I've never had the deli, but there's always someone picking up an order, so, that says a lot. I'll need to try that next!

What a gem!! Proof has an excellent beer and wine selection. They take it up a level with their amazing food! From the to go Serpico sub to their Tuna Meltdown, everything is SO good. Their prepped to go sides are delicious - the roasted tortellini is out of this world!

Proof has a great selection of spirits, beer, and wine and always has my favorites in stock, as well as rotating in new items to branch out and try. The sandwiches are great and I appreciate the Veggie options. The caprese salad is also a nice addition to lunch. Service is helpful and friendly, store is always clean. Food always has fresh ingredients and good portions.

The Deli Rueben Sandwich is a game changer

Some things in life, just make it all the more enjoyable. My whole life I've never really cared for pastrami or sauerkraut... Until, I tried the Rueben Sandwich, from Proof Liquor and Deli.

Wow! Simple, Unique and Delicious! I highly suggest you try one.

I've hesitated to write a review here because my main experience is just to walk in, grab a bottle, and check out. Not much to review there.

The prices are marginally higher than what you'll find somewhere like Twin Liquors, but that's to be expected from a smaller business.

The deli is where they really shine. I've ordered a few sandwiches from them now and they are consistently fabulous. It takes a minute because they make their food to order but you won't mind the wait after taking a few bites.

The staff is friendly and efficient, the prices are acceptable, and the food is bomb. If you find yourself thinking you'll just go to sonic or schlotzskys, I implore you to give Proof deli a chance.

This place just may have the best sandwiches I've had. Everything on the menu is amazing and the employees could not be more friendly. Everyone should be trying this place out.

Just found this gem! Only have had the Angry Bird and Smokin Bird so far and the Angry Bird is my favorite sandwich so far! Cannot wait to try the others!

My wife and I eat here at least twice a week. The sandwiches and soups are fantastic! They're very friendly and knowledgeable. Wine and whiskey selections are amazing as well.

One of my absolute favorite places for a sandwich. The roast beef, Philly cheese steak, and Reubens are outstanding. Don't forget the Hammy or veggie sandwiches either. Nice supply of spirits, wine and beer. Staff is friendly. They host small wine and spirit tastings on weekends.

First time yesterday. I am 7 months pregnant, was waiting for the bistro to open. So while waiting the lady from Proof came out and took a picture of a pie. So i said once im done eating i will grab me a pie. So i went in. First they are polite, and well i got the pies and well again since i am pregnant said why not get a sandwich. Lol. So i did, me thinking they were sub types. It was a regular sandwich, But in all honestly it was the best fresh tasting sandwich i could ever of had. 🤤 And the chocococonut pie is so so good.... still Awesome......

I just went in looking for my wife's favorite pinot grigio. They didn't have it but the cashier googled the wine and offered something comparable. It's very hard to find that type of service. They also offer fantastic sandwiches (what?). No joke. The sandwiches are over the top.
