Truly the best authentic Mexican food in the area! Being from San Antonio, I know good Mexican. We tried several different places in Tyler and nothing comes close to Mr. Taco! Tasting their carne guisada for the first time was like being home again, having dinner at my grandparents house. They are a little pricey but ABSOLUTELY worth it. Also - best chips and guac ever!

First off, I'm from San Antonio, Texas and we were remodeling the Dollar General in Whitehouse, Texas.
We heard that this is one of the best taco places, East of Texas, boy oh boy, they weren't wrong!! I guarantee, any taco you try from there, you won't be disappointed..

It's a plus, that they also open at, by I believe 5-6am.. I honestly forgot..

So yummy. The food is hot, staff is very nice and greeting you when you walk thru the door. Ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality. Great atmosphere. Great food. Had a great dinner.

First time going here and the service was absolutely amazing the people were amazing and the food was awesome and I fell in love with her handmade tortillas those were amazing great place to eat!

Mr. Taco Jr. is known in the Whitehouse area, for being the best, most authentic tasting Mexican food you’ve ever tasted! They have everything from from breakfast dishes to dinner! I love their tacos, burritos, fresh guacamole, sauces, & enchiladas! They have a convenient drive through, or you can eat inside. It’s a very clean, family run restaurant. The customer service is always 10/10!

Just when I was losing hope that there was ANYTHING worth eating in this town besides Montez I tried Mr. Taco... They did NOT disappoint!

A buddy introduced me to this little Taco place in Whitehouse of all places. I'm a big foodie and East Texas is famous for having cookie cutter Tex-Mex that's boring. This place HAS BARBACOA!!!!! Tried it and it was amazing.

Been back prob a dozen times. Its never dissapointed, and Ive referred dozens of friends to tbis hidden gem.

Its San Antonio street tacos rather than TexMex. Its great and you should for sure go. Dont be discouraged by the looks of it!

Great little street tacos. Will be back to try there enchiladas.that will be the test. But reminds me of down south Texas cooking.

A Whitehouse favorite!! Great food and great service. I especially love the breakfast tacos with beans, eggs, and bacon.

The staff is always very polite and professional. The food tastes like I'm back in South Texas eating authentic Mexican food. My go-to is Bacon Egg and Cheese tacos with their green salsa. It's phenomenal.

Best place in White House for some TexMex. The tortillas are very good. Good breakfast tacos and good people.

Service with a smile even in the rain. Julio was friendly and attentive in taking our order. He made sure to repeat and confirm what we wanted.

I was told we should try this place out a year ago, but didn't... It was a wasted year! Food was GREAT! Great service, GOOD FOOD, AND complementary Margarita slushes to boot! You can bet we'll be back soon, AND OFTEN!!!

Great mom and pop Taco joint. Loved the quick drive thru service and they serve breakfast tacos until 1pm🙌. They also serve other Mexican food beside tacos, and the enchiladas were good!

I miss my san antonio mexican restaurants and this place gives off every vibe that I had back home. Hands down the BEST place to remind you of South Texas. And the food is exactly what I use to eat back home 10/10 will return

We've been waiting for this place to open! We tried the breakfast tacos (almost every kind) and they were phenomenal. The bacon, egg, and cheese was my personal favorite. Their eggs and flour tortillas were so tasty and great. Definitely excited and happy to finally have a good breakfast taco place nearby.

Get the beef fajita tacos! Mmmmm so good. The burrito is HUGE.
