Alonso, thank you for your professionalism and being so expeditious helping me access my account. It’s not often I visit a Branch. The genuine care you provided me is much appreciated. You’re a hidden gem along with this branch location! Thank you kindly, Lance

The manager of this bank is absolutely wonderful. She truly cares for her clients and staff. She works so hard to make sure everyone is taken care of and her clients are getting everything they need to help them in all different areas of life. If you need a loan for a car, business or a house you need to come here. If you are looking for a new bank to open an account this is the place!

I went by the branch to get copies of old statements from a closed I needed. I had tried their 1-800 national customer service, who said it couldn't be done. The branch office came through Adrian was very helpful. I was able to get what I needed. Good to have a local office and real people that will talk to you.

I checked their CD RATES online considered opening a new one. The four stars is a reflection of the bank only offering 3% where others will pay 4%.

The branch personnel are 5 stars, and nice facility.

AVOID - This bank will smile at you while they fee you to death. Website/Ap designed to give clients week old bank feed data while they happily issue overdrafts and returned item fees. In many cases, the bank claims they don’t even know what originating transaction caused the $36 return item fee.

I intend to continue to expose my experience of this bank and their software to benefit other would be customers until a solid case is made or their customer bank feed data reflects accurately. This is criminal.

5/4/2021 - It’s been just over 4 months since Truist officially transitioned BB&T and I have to say it’s been overall a very good change. We have noticed cash in the ATMs and most importantly the computer system has a lot less arbitrary and bogus charges.

1/11/2020 - stopped in to get some cash from ATM, ATM out of money. This is significant bc customers would often resort to cash to avoid excessive fees. Only, if the bank ATM doesn’t have cash, you are back to using the card.

1/21/2020 - See photos of my bank feed. Online purchases from 1/14/2020 were “held” in a hidden non-visible pending status for 7 days while my shown balance reflected higher. The following photos were taken 90 minutes apart on the night of the 7th day. To be clear, the bank algorithm for pending transactions actually holds higher value transactions for up to 7 days but doesn’t make them visible online until the day of the daily posted balance or if a customer balance goes below, whichever occurs first. Sadly, this is often too late as many customers would have already incurred an overdraft, making financial decisions on misguided information from the website/ap.

Note: The circled items were not “pending” transactions and were not visible for the entirety of the 7 day hold until they posted.

2/20/20 Update: BB&T charged me another $36 fee. However, I called to dispute and they removed the fee. As a result, I am changing their review to 2 stars from 1 as is my wife.

3/24/2020 Update: BB&T charged another $36 fee. Per their website and the ap, the posted balance or available balance never below $1,200.

It’s about time to whistleblow.

BB&T is notorious for fees upon fees. They will cash a check and post it to our account the day of if it makes the credits/debits negative in their favor, or they will wait 7 or 8 days to post a check if our account is in good standing, waiting for it to dip below a certain level. This has happened so often to our disadvantage that I know they are just manipulating the numbers so we get feed to death. Avoid this bank like the plague.

They just took over servicing for once in my room for property mortgages. I've spent two hours on the phone over many days and still have not been able to pay my mortgage or get online setup! Absolute joke
