100% outstanding experience working with Hector to find the perfect "forever table" for my new apartment. I wanted a live edge similar to what my late partner and I had before he passed, just to honor and remember him and us cooking for each other/friends/ and family. Hector was great at communicating and answering all of my questions very quickly, and was an expert in his craft. I was able to tour his collection the next day, and he graciously helped me figure out what would fit in my apartment, and was extremely knowledgeable about the installation of the legs, how many people would comfortably fit, and the care of the table. He walked me through the evolution of the live edge table, from origin in Costa Rica, through the process of removing moisturing, to the finished product. As if this were not enough, he and his wife went way above and beyond and delivered the table to my dining room. I feel so lucky to have found a true artisan (and really awesome people!) right here in Austin. Here's a preliminary picture, my chairs come tomorrow!

I had the privilege of not only purchasing beautiful dining chairs, but also touring Hectors extensive line of stunning woodwork. Moruxos heirloom pieces are ethically sourced from Guanacaste, Cost Rica. Each one is a work of art desperately needed in today’s “fast fashion furniture” market. You will NOT be disappointed by investing in any piece. I certainly will be acquiring more with pride. Hector was gracious, professional and generous with his time. As an interior designer, having a local artisan with the breadth he has will allow me to specify unique offerings for my clients.

I recently purchased a dining room table from Hector, and I must say it looks absolutely amazing! The Guanacaste wood slab has garnered compliments from everyone who has seen it. Hector's patience during our decision-making process, along with his informative approach and accommodating scheduling, made the entire experience pleasant. If you're in the market for a table with personality, I highly recommend Hector for his excellent service and fantastic selection. I had dinner on the table I selected earlier that same day. Couldn't ask for more.

To start, I’m admittedly a taker of reviews and don’t usually leave my own. That said, the dining table we now have is beyond beautiful, and I owe it to others to share my experience.

I’m a researcher to a fault. I have been looking for a dining table for months almost daily; because I have so many specific criteria, + I wanted real wood.

I hope this review will help others who may be similar to me to make a decision to work with Hector.

Here’s the pros:
-Hector, the owner; amazingly nice. He’s passionate about the tables and sourcing the materials. Very knowledgeable.
-You can look on his site (but also plan to go in person because he gets new slabs in frequently, I imagine it’s difficult to keep up with)
- pick your slab. Get the dimensions you want. We found four we liked initially. I took pictures, had the measurements and wanted to go home to re-measure in my space exactly. Absolutely no pressure from Hector to “buy while we were there”. I really appreciate that.
- pick your legs. You end up with a custom table!!
- And, the table was delivered the next day!!! No joke. Not 12 weeks. Not 6mo back order. My husband was shocked, and said “This is exactly what I would have hoped this process would have gone when we started this search”

I can’t believe I’m saying that. Not because Moruxo isn’t fantastic, but truly a 5 star experience, and I’m picky!

Also, I asked Hector what he does with extra scrap of wood when people do need to cut off a few inches. I told him if he had any available, I really wanted one for my bathtub for my tablet and wine. He made it happen :)

I highly recommend Moruxo Live Edge. We just bought a home in the Canyon Lake area and wanted a table to seat 8. Hector was so wonderful to work with . We met him on a Monday and our table and 8 beautiful chairs were delivered the next day! He actually offered to have it delivered the same day but we weren’t in the new home yet!

Hector has gorgeous live edge pieces. He is prompt for appointments, exceedingly customer friendly, and easy to work with. It is obvious he enjoys his work and has great pride in his creations. If you have an interest in a live edge piece- I highly encourage you to go visit him. I am delighted with our new table

I had a great experience picking out my table. Hector (the owner) was quick to respond, very friendly, able to answer all my questions about wood sustainability, table maintenance, etc. He's got tons of tables to look at in all different sizes.

I was a bit skeptical that all the reviews were 5 stars, but after meeting Hector, I understood why. It's his business and he works hard for those positive reviews.

Hector has a great selection of Guanacaste wood slabs at great prices. He is extremely professional and went the extra mile to get our table delivered to our new house. We are looking forward to making lots of memories around this beautiful table!

Fantastic experience. Hector was incredibly responsive. Beautiful selections. I absolutely LOVE my table and bench. My slab required some minor adjustments for fitting the legs. Hector took the extra time to come to my home and ensure everything was perfect. Definately would recommend!

The owner Hector was super easy to work with, honest, and hard working. His showroom is no longer open, but he can share some items he has in stock nearby, if you give him a call to set up an appointment. My husband and I were at first in market for an epoxy resin table, but he didn't have what we were looking for. But his items are so beautifully done, we ended up buying one of the large mirrors with beautiful guanacaste wooden frame. We can't be happier with our purchase - price is amazing, workmanship is top quality, and we are happy to support an honest Austin small business. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely gorgeous table! Really enjoyed browsing through so many unique options and picking the perfect one. Hector was an absolute professional and runs a hyper-efficient business to get customers the best price and somehow manages to also provide amazing service. Delivery was same day and a breeze. I wish I could get the same experience with all my other furnishings.

I was in the market for a nicer dining table than what I had and was tired of the beaten path box stores. I decided to look around and came up on Moruxo Furniture. Loved what they had and knew that type of furniture was what I needed. Called and spoke with Hector who was great explaining what he has. Went the next day to look and was amazed.
