Here is a sanctuary, known by "their love for one another," (John 13) pursuing the Great Commission, (Matthew 28) and joyously living the faith that He is with us "always, even to the end of the age."

HTBC is a wonderful church with some of the most friendly people you will ever meet. My wife and I have been members now for 4+ years and it all started with warm, welcoming people taking the time to get to know us. As the years have moved on we have enjoyed getting involved in all of the different areas of ministry here. From our blended worship team, to youth ministry and even our children's ministry there are many opportunities to serve and love on our community. The people at Harwood Terrace Baptist Church are warm, genuine, and very welcoming. Never having been part of a Baptist church I didn't know what to expect. This is what I found: Pastor James Heffington clearly loves Jesus Christ and each person who walks through the door. His heart's most sincere desire is that each heart would be open to the Bible's message of salvation. He teaches the Word with humor and humility but stays exactly on course. His beautiful wife is every bit as committed to building GOD's kingdom as James is and it has been fun watching their children grow! The children's programs are fun and teach the Bible stories in ways that seem to connect with children across a wide range of ages and development levels. The youth group has an energy that is contagious! With ESL classes, Sunday school for adults, AWANAS, and lots of other places to connect, HTBC is a great place to plug in whether you are just curious what the Bible really says about life or are a mature believer looking for a Bible believing home church. Come join us!
