Alfred Coffee

Great coffee. I got a cappuccino and the quality of the beans and brew was evident. Asked for a fairly specific order the barista nailed it. Ample seating since it’s in a hotel lobby.

Nestled inside the LINE, four-star hotel in Austin is this exquisite coffee establishment. I wish there were locations on every block in Austin! That’s how good it is! I requested a hot lavender latte, OMG! Then I had the nerve to ask for a ham and cheese croissant… as I write this review drooling, all I could say, is the amount of flaky, melt in your mouth -Deliciousness of that croissant made me want to move in! Do yourself a favor: Go!

Tucked in the lobby of the Alfred Hotel pulling top quality espresso shots with understated yet friendly service. Nice seating in the lobby with great vibe. Don’t miss it.

What a gorgeous, welcoming place. Fast service and the best coffees. I don't like sugar drinks, so ordered a cacao "mocha" and it was delicious. Loved the savory kolache. The bathroom is the best. 😂

Great cappuccino. They use Stumptown espresso beans, but a special Alfred roast. Lots of seating in the nicely decorated lobby of the hotel. Great stop for runners on the trail to pop in for a coffee. Staff is friendly! Downside - parking would be tricky. Either find street parking or valet at hotel. Prices are boutique hotel coffee prices.

Alfred never disappoints and the one at The Line Hotel in Austin is not an exception. You can enjoy the vibrant and cozy guest / visitor scene of the hotel with plenty of seats and free WiFi. It’s very relaxed and their chairs have back support which is super comfortably to be honest. P.S. I see no need for commenting about their coffees, as they all are beautifully handcrafted and served. The prices are probably 10-20% above the street level but I guess it’s definitely worth it.

The coffee shop was located inside a hotel, they also had gluten-free options which was amazing! LOVE the atmosphere and coffee was very reasonably priced especially for the location! Looking forward to going back soon!

Always kind staff and great service. Coffees and matcha drinks are excellent and the limited bakery options available are decent too. And you get to enjoy it at one of the best hotel lobbies in Austin soo the ambiance is a plus plus plus!

The coffee is very very good here. It is the modern, "bright" style of coffee, which all too often is good on its own before clashing with milk. But not here! The latte is expertly crafted, with the bright espresso going perfectly with the well-foamed milk. Well worth the ten-minute line to order (around 8 a.m.). The shop itself is a small space within the Line Hotel's beautiful lobby, but there are plenty of places in the lobby to sit, as well as tables outdoors in front of the hotel that appeared available at least in the morning. Service was friendly but fast-paced (which is good). Prices were reasonable for high-end coffee.

Hands down my favorite coffee. Their mushroom latte changed the way I think about coffee forever. Seriously so good. Also the hotel lobby is a lot of fun - great place to sit and hang out or work.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Alfred's yet! I've been going here for years! Their matcha is the best I've had anywhere in the world. And the girls that work there are the sweetest, loveliest and make the experience that much better!
When I feel like I need a little break in life- iced oat milk matcha from Alfred's does the trick! 🙏

I hope this location stays open forever! I'm usually a coffee person, but I love their matcha lattes. I have also bought several of their loose-leaf teas to make at home and they are all fantastic.

Alright so I know this is THE JOINT to go to in LA for all the bloggers. But I was interested in it for the oat mylk latte. Boys and girls—it was CREAMY. And I dream of it still. Seriously don’t know what oat milk they used but I’m assuming it was made in house. No flavoring needed.

Also the decor is amazing — full of instagrammable spots. Honestly it’d be a great place for a meeting, seeing a friend in town, or having some quiet time on your lunch break.

I enjoyed this place so much for my first time visit. Maya helped me find a drink based on what I told her I wanted. I was hesitate to try it however she advised me if I didn't like it she'd make me a new one. This gesture is highly appreciated when you are a first time customer asking to try a signature drink. I ordered a matcha with oats and it was incredible.
I also tasted a Hazelnut vanilla latte. In comparison to Starbucks, the drinks here at Alfred's have less sugar.
The ambience is very chill, Earthy, and inside a hotel therefore plenty/ variety of sitting places.
They have a variety of pastries and the breakfast looks superior over Starbucks.

I had a couple spare hours in Austin, so went to grab a tea at Sandra Bullock's Walton's Fancy & Staple. Very underwhelming and service acted annoyed at having a customer. Upon my walk there, I overheard some girl saying The Alfred has amazing coffee. I hate coffee, but where there's coffee, there's usually tea. I was off to Alfred's to check it out. It was a HOT day, but matcha sounded delish, and I prefer matcha hot over cold, and was planning on drinking it in the lovely lobby with AC of course....and fireplaces everyone was avoiding, hahaa. Anyway, I ordered my tea "extra hot" because I hate how so many places serve tea at room temp - ugh. Most places just brush off my request and may or may not actually get it hot. But the Alfred was amazing friendly and educational! The girl told me 160F is the hottest dairy milk should go, else it'll burn. She also said oat (or was it soy?) can only go up to 120F. One more reason not to order either of those gross options. So I ordered my 2% at 160F and it was perfect, and delicious. 5 Stars!

Best coffee shop in Austin! The staff is incredible! Prices are pretty standard, especially considering they have house made syrups and a wide variety of milk options. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

The coffee and food are just so so but the interior is amazing. Great place to make a stop open your laptop and get some work done.
Party is free for 1 hour and 10$ after that

Housemade vanilla syrup latte. Perfectly balanced with vanilla flavor (with actual vanilla bean) and not too sweet. Well done.

So good and you actually get $7 worth of an iced coffee drink. The gals that work here are amazing baristas and they’re so kind. My husband gets me my morning coffee from here every morning and we will keep coming back 🥰 Thanks y’all !!
