Governor's Inn Hotel

I am not sure people are complaining. Our stay was great. The front desk staff was super friendly. There was plenty of parking. The hotel had a pool and hot tub for kiddos (or adults). Our room was clean, had working AC/heat, extra pillows were already in the room, brand new sofa and recliner, and the bed was comfy. There was also a half size fridge and freezer in the room! The breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast with a lot of choices - hot and cold. The only issue we had was that there was no travel size conditioner bottle for showers. Other than that, we had a great stay. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

What a clean place to stay. Great breakfast with a staff person cleaning all the time we were there. The pool was warm. In fact I thought the hot tub could be turned down... you do not usually find this in a hotel. They even have a game room. The fridge and microwave was great. We got joining rooms which worked out so well. This place had the friendliest staff. And free fresh baked cookies. It was perfect. It was perfect and the best place is it was clean. I am particular so this in my opinion is the best part of the place. I don't need a brand new place. I need a clean place. This was a perfect stay for us. Than you so much. We will be back if we ever need a room in piere again.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff they made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and comfy, nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast could have been a bit better but other than that we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a very pleasant stay here. Rooms were well cared for, the pool was nice for the kids to play in and the hot tub felt great. The staff were very kind and helpful. The price was very competitive, too. I looked at two other hotels prior to this one, and I'm so glad we chose this one.

The staff here were all really nice and very accommodating. I arrived late and my heater was acting up a little so I told the front desk and they moved me to the family suite for my whole stay (3days) as a free upgrade from a standard room!!
I also enjoyed the hot tub/pool area as well. Will be staying in this hotel again if I am even in town in the future, great service.

Anytime we visit Pierre, usually twice/yr atleast, we stay at this hotel. We've probably visited this hotel 15 times. The staff is always helpful and friendly, even opening up the fish cleaning station for my husband at 3 AM. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Some rooms have doors on the inside of the hotel as well as to the outside. There is a pool, hot tub, exercise room and a "store" with drinks/meds/just about anything you forgot. We are never disappointed staying here.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The rooms aren't anything to write home about, but they aren't missing anything that you'd expect from a hotel (though the soap dispensers in the shower are a bit strange).

I didn't go in the pool, but the hot tub was good size and plenty hot. Jets we're good.

Breakfast left a bit to be desired, I would have preferred more pastries. The waffle machine works great though, at other places they always seem to turn soggy, which wasn't the case here.

The location is super convenient for food and activities. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and the river is about 2 blocks across the street.

This hotel was so amazing - the staff are ALL So Nice!! The breakfast selection has all you could want. Cereal, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, juices, bagels, muffins, yogurt. The rooms are VERY Comfortable. They have a hot tub, pool, fitness center, all are a GREAT PRICE!!!! If your coming to Pierre - you cannot go wrong with this hotel!! They also have a little Mini Mart by the front desk area. :)

I was skeptical about this place when I saw the price. Having never been to Pierre, I didn’t really know what to expect. Most small towns I travel to tend to have people who are distant and apathetic when it comes to newcomers and strangers. Not this place. Even at 1 in the morning, the guy who checked us in was friendly. The room was clean and we slept comfortably. The mattress was beginning to show it’s age but in their defense, I’m used to my mattress. My son loved the pool. It did look a little run down in there but whatever, the water was clean and we had fun. That’s what matters. We enjoyed our stay and really have no complaints.

This is the only place we stay when we come to Pierre. We have stayed multiple times for extended stays and they have always treated us very well. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub are always well maintained. Good breakfast everyday, too. Would highly recommend!

Our family loved staying at Governor's Inn! The staff went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable for our extended stay. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. Our kids especially loved their evening warm cookie. Noise level was very minimal and the beds were super comfortable. John is a great manager who will always go out of his way for guests! Front desk staff is very friendly and my kids still talk about Patty! Thank you for making our time so pleasant.

This is the best hotel for the best price in the Pierre / Ft. Pierre area. We travel to Pierre 1-2 times per month and have tried several hotels. Governors Inn is always very clean, has a wide selection of hot and cold items, has a pool and hot tub for the kids, has a variety of different types of rooms to meet our needs depending on how many people we have with us, is pet friendly, and has very friendly and accommodating front desk staff. Our favorite rooms are the deluxe rooms because you can enter from the outside straight into your room or from inside the hotel. I highly recommend Governors Inn!

I give this a 4 just due to the luxurious. Other then that it's great. Clean room, no smell, pool n hot tub, friendly folks, clean sheets and towels, shampoo and lotion. It's great for staying over night and just relaxing from a long day of work and be on your way the next day. Internet is great. I enjoy this place.

My family's stay at the Governor's Inn was great! After some messed up reservations at another venue, the staff at Governor's Inn saved us! They were able to book multiple rooms for us at the last minute and even worked with me to get a larger room so my family could all meet to celebrate Christmas. So thankful for the friendly, helpful, and understanding staff!

I needed a big room with a comfortable chair that rocked, a refrigerator and also a microwave because I was taking care of my 4 month old grandson in Pierre for 3 days. Govenor's Inn had exactly what I needed. The room was perfect, the chair was comfy, the room and more were very clean and everyone was super friendly! It was right next door to McDonalds so I could walk right to it and get some food without having to drive around!
Also, there was a very nice message left by the tv remote for their guests!
I will definitely stay here every time I come to Pierre!

Nice accommodations and friendly staff. The rooms were very nice and clean. We slept comfortably and had a good breakfast, as well. Will book again on my next trip to Pierre. Thank you, Governor's Inn!

In town on business. 2 night stay. Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast, and RELIABLE internet. I sincerely appreciated the all day access to free hot coffee. I will stay again if life brings me back to Pierre.

Covid Free, comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful, conversational staff, great meeting room for business conference or children's parties, warm breakfast room, spent 10 wonderful days. And that precious Gideon's Bible in the nightstand drawer! Hunters fishermen, family friendly, reasonable priced, right in town, close to the Missouri Riverwalk.
