I’m not a big turkey guy but I do like the turkey from Bates. We stop by when in the are and get a Togo box.

This place was fantastic as always, the food and service were top tier. The severs were kind and took our orders very fast. The food came out in a timely manner and tasted as perfect as it ever does. The vibes are very dated in the best way. I am always so blessed when I get to come through here.

So good! Right off the highway and very convenient. This was our second time there and it did not disappoint. I mean, seriously, when you can get Thanksgiving almost any day of the year, why would you stop anywhere else? In addition, this place is so clean you could eat off the floors but you don’t have to because there are a ton on tables for dining both inside and out! The staff is great too!

Make the “pilgrimage” and “gobble” down a turkey sandwich or meal. You’ll be glad you did!

Place was packed on a Tuesday but well worth the very short wait! Loved everything. The staff was kind of rude but I understand how exhausted they were. We will be back when passing through again.

Nice, inexpensive restaurant. Turkey is the primary menu item. I had the open face turkey sandwich which was delicious. The turkey gravey is outstanding.

Good place to relax while traveling. It's a problem to find a cleaned table. The turkey dinner is spot on and filling. Bring you own cleaning rag and all will be fine
I do recommend this place, just wish they would provide a soapy rag in a bowl so a customer could wipe their table from numerous prior dinners.

While traveling north from the Gulf Coast this is the place to stop for a meal. Reasonable prices and the side dishes are delicious. Yes, it can get crowded but the service goes quickly. You can choose from a plate with two sides or any number of sandwiches. The plate I had was just right for your proportion of food. Sweet tea was super! Nice friendly service.

If you like turkey, you MUST stop here. They have the best turkey ever...they way turkey is meant to taste. It's very quaint and looks like a step back in time, nevertheless, you owe it to yourself to experience one of their meals. It's at exit 130 off I-65.
They also sell fun t-shirts.

We were on our way up I-65 today and stopped at Bates House of Turkey in Greenville, Alabama. It’s just off of the highway, and it’s a great place to stop for lunch or dinner, or to get something to take with you. Their turkey sandwich is super — smoked turkey, crisp chilled lettuce, a touch of mayo and bread-and-butter pickles on a sesame seed bun — delicious. They’ve also got turkey and dressing with all of the trimmings, as well as other entrees and sides. The folks there are as nice as they come, the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Family friendly, with clean restrooms to boot. Highly recommended.

We stop here almost every trip down I65 to the Beach. Every plate or sandwich is freshly made to order. If you love turkey, then this is a must visit!

Best turkey sandwich I have ever had. Local shop with local hospitality. Must visit if you are in the area or driving along I65.

Their thing seems to be the family farm turkeys served to you w/o any middle-man processing. Makes for a fresher turkey slice for your dinner. Food was really good, but everything served on a to-go style foam plate. Plate quality aside, I always stop here when travelling on I-65.

Decent turkey sandwich, cute gift shop and clean restrooms right off the highway. Fast and fresh food- in and out in less than 30min. Turkey gumbo was ok, buddy got the turkey chili and it was way better.

If you like a roast turkey dinner, or anything else turkey, this is the place. They close early but if you're near for lunch or an early dinner, or even to take a or pre prepped dinner with, don't miss it.

The first 3 times we went we told them we have a pickle allergy and they still put pickles so they remade our turkey clubs correctly. The third time they even let my fiance have the sandwiches made incorrectly with pickles instead of throwing them away which was an added bonus for him! Ever since they are on point and correct every time. Highly recommend the turkey club! We were not a fan of the turkey dinner. Their homemade brownies, homemade cookies, and homemade ranch are heavenly! They rarely have the brownies which is sad considering they are so delicious! Lauren and Lauren are the best! We love bates so much that we ate turkey clubs every day for a week straight and still get it multiple times a week! Those turkey clubs are addictive!

Great restaurant to stop by to get your turkey fix. They have turkey everything. Open face sandwich, deli sandwich, chili, and gumbo all with turkey. Staff is friendly.
