The festival was fantastic again this year. Sure, there were a few problems because of all the mud due to heavy rains the day before the event started, but that just added to the authenticity of the medieval setting. If you are still in search of a festival that hasn't yet become overwhelming due to the crowds being so large as not to fit the space, then this is the place to be! If you want a slightly smaller crowd experience, go on Sundays instead of on Saturdays. Also, bring cash!

Aside from the mud, thanks to the torrential soaking from the day before, it was a great ren fair (it just added to the authenticity)! Lots of unique vendors, great food, I highly suggest the Mac n cheese pie and Scottish eggs! Yum! Educational layouts around the grounds kept the everyone entertained, along with the hero's quest for the kids, and shows for all ages going on regularly throughout the day. Watching the joust was fun for the family. Definitely want to arrive early as the event was popular!

I was a merchant there. Great people running it, decent site, and with any Renn faire there are always improvements that will be made for the next year I am not going to complain, instead I'm going to make suggestions which I believe will help more. There was the road that got tore up by weather and merchants trying to get in with big vehicles and trailers. Perhaps putting gravel down might help get it to not clay up. But they had a vehicle helping merchants get unstuck. The owners were on top of things to make the best of a situation! Perhaps making little drainage ditches to allow the water to drain from the road. And lastly maybe some roll up sidewalks in the merchant area in case of another rain filled weekend. The owners put on a great faire and tried to compensate for the weather they cannot control. Side note for other merchants. I "fog walked" our space and four others because of the amount of garbage left behind after pack out and picked up all I could. That is not fair to our host. Perhaps next faire be more mindful. All in all, good people all around, good experience.

Had a wonderful time! First time coming to visit and will not be the last. Will be back next year!!!!! Arts and crafts vendors were amazing, food vendors not so much honestly….. but I can overlook that. Had an amazing experience, cosplayed for the first time, and I couldn’t have asked for a better time. Courteous and professional vendors, staff was epic, joust was an actual contact jousting match and you could feel the energy everyone put into it. Will be back next year!

We had an amazing time at the Alabama medieval fantasy festival in Greenville Alabama. Even though the grounds were muddy this year but no suprise. It is a rustic outdoor event and the grounds suffered torrential downpours for a full 3 days prior to the fair. The staff was friendly and outgoing. The Lord Sheriff dangerous and his deputy Sir dangerous ( No relation! 🤣) were very welcoming, informative and very funny. They had the whole family in stitches. There was a large variety of food and what we chose was delicious. There wasn't as much big stage entertainment this year but what they did have was warm , fun and inviting. The joust was super fun and I was amazed at how well they did given the soaked terrain. So many hand crafted items to shop for unique items! I don't think I seen them all. If I had anything to say negatively, it would be that the police parking the cars had very poor attitudes. Definitely did NOT get a donation from me! That is hardly a reflection on the fair though. Will definitely be back.

Apart from the mud, the event was excellent. We will be returning next year for certain. Good food, reasonable pricing on all the arts and crafts, very friendly community. Be warned that cell phone signal may be spotty.

Year 2 update: still an awesome event. Can't wait for year 3.

Very awesome festival. Will definitely be going back. Love how it is all setup. Everyone was so nice. A lot of people in costume. Plan to stay the whole day. They have something for everyone. Sword fighting, story telling, singing, bag pipes, jousting,.......

Was lots of fun , however the place could use a bit of work in order to make it better like an actual arena for the jousting. Also it has rain the day before and it was extremely muddy could have used a horse drawn wagon to spread straw to cut down how muddy it was

Fun filled weekend. Come out out and have a turkey leg or watch the joust get your face painted or maybe seek advice from the elders

A marvelous collection of arts and crafts, venders and costumes. Set back in the woods so there's shade, but plenty of room.
If it's fantasy related it's probably here

What a wonderful experience!! Rolling hills, beautiful permanent structures, tents were festive. The entertainment was top notch from beginning to end. Many unique vendors. Lots of food choices and less expensive for the day than taking my family to the movies for a few hours. We will definitely be back!

As usual they put on a great show and everything was amazing. It is so nice to have this festival close to us. They're actually people that come from Florida, Mississippi, Georgia and all over Alabama just for this festival. This festival. I know that a lot of the vendors have dropped out of the touring due to COVID but now that is finally over. I hope they come back next year. I'm hoping that since it has gotten big enough, they will actually add a fall festival to the schedule also... That would be truly amazing

This was great!
Much larger than I expected.
Lots of good food. Jousting matches, displays, handmade crafts, music.
I think they've done an awesome job with it! Daughter and I will be back next year.
