QC Coffee and Pancake House

Ate here after an event at the Expo center and really glad I did. Food was outstanding, service was quick, prices and portions are more than fair, and everything was clean. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. I will definitely be back if I'm in the neighborhood during business hours!

We first ate at the QC Coffee and Pancake House when one of the local papers voted it the best breakfast in the Quad Cities. And when you order a cinnamon roll pancake you will be like us & realize why it won that title. Friendly, fast service & very reasonable prices complement the great food that keeps us coming back every time we are in town. I’ll post a few pictures, as well as the breakfast menu from yesterday.

We found this place on Sunday, Dec 2nd & we will definitely be back! The atmosphere was fun, the location was superb & the food & service was phenomenal! Our Server, Madi, was kind & she loved her job! This was only a hop, skip & a jump from our hotel in Iowa & we can't wait to go back!

Such a great atmosphere with happy, efficient employees. We've eaten here a few times and we always go away full and satisfied. The food is awesome!

Haven't been to too many breakfast spots, or any type of restaurant for that matter, where hosts cheerfully greet you with a "Good morning" (or time of day) and smile. Knew right away this spot would be special. Friendly and hard working crew. Even though there was a half hour wait, our server was very nice and provided details of specials and other portion size questions asked. Not sure what coffee they serve but the beans are grounded freshly and to me, was a different coffee than your typical breakfast spots. Definitely needed to try their famous Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and the side portion was plenty, pictured here, yet delicious. Also ordered and pictured here was their French Toast and a side of Bacon. French Toast was also plenty, nothing too special, and Bacon was done right. Would definitely stop by if ever in the area again to try their Triple Berry Waffle which comes with a Beer or Wine.

Always loved this place and I've always gotten breakfast but today i decided to try one of their favorite burgers! The Mexican burger and French fries! It's definitely no small burger it's built for the hungry burger eater, 😋 lol it was awesome ! 😄

Best pancake ever! I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes. Amazing flavor and not overly sweet either. The soft and fluffy pancakes are delicious. The coffee is robust and strong 💪. Highly recommend this place. One of the best restaurants in this city. Excellent service and a very nice and clean place.

There were 10 of us (8 adults and 2 kiddos under 8) who descended at about 10am on Monday, Labor Day. We were seated in about a half hour, and treated with friendly attitudes, terrific and accurate attention. Coffees and waters were kept filled, food came out of the kitchen for all of us at the same time (Wow) HOT and FRESH!!! Fantastically good food and terrific team work for every table! My Country Fried Steak was like eating a meat stuffed crisy crust pizza which had crispy bacon bits on top of the delicious sausage gravy - my leftovers fed me b'fast for the next 2 days. Eggs were perfect all around. Their specialty pancakes were AMAZING with drizzled frosting and sugar cinnamon butter spread layered with thin pancakes, and was like eating a cinnabon roll. No pancakes will ever be as good again. The Corned Beef Hash was absolutely homemade and so flavorful. The Mexican themed skillets were excellent and my granddaughter had the Vegetarian Skillet with bacon added and declared it the best skillet ever, anywhere. The servings were huge so a lot of take away containers were necessary! We sat under a splendid mural of the history of the area that was fascinting. This is an older building and has that atmosphere, which fits perfectly with this quintessential mid-west diner.

I don't live nearby but my family does, and having b'fast here when in the area will be required from now on!!!!

The food was amazing! Well worth the hour wait. We wouldn’t normally wait that long but I’m glad we did. My wife ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and a cinnamon roll another customer had suggested we try. I went with the Mexican skillet and upgraded the pancakes to their world famous cinnamon roll pancakes. Everything was very delicious! Great food. Great service. Definitely worthy of a road trip.

I have driven by this location multiple times but was always intimidated by the long line and the people waiting outside lol. Today I drove by and seen an empty park and said today will be the day and when I tell you the 45 minute wait was well worth it go and see for yourself.

We put our name on the list and they called us when our seat was ready, It was a packed house around 10:30 AM. Our waitress came within 5 minutes and took drink orders and then gave us some space to review the menu. I asked a few questions about some of the menu items and I felt she gave a good description and her honest opinion which was very helpful. She was very attentive with refills and just checking in with us. food presentation is everything to me I feel like the fist impression is always a lasting impression.

My omelet was thick and packed with meat, vegetables and just the right amount of cheese. I was expecting to get the standard taco style omelet with every thing just laying in the middle and the omelette folded over. my hash browns had a nice golden, semi fried hard layer with a good crunch on the top layer.

My pancakes tasted like a good ole homemade cinnamon roll unrolled and laid flat. them pancakes were big and tasted so good. I think they are a popular item because the waitress recommended them when I said I will just take a stack of pancakes.

the atmosphere was very nice and it was very spacious inside. you did not feel like you where elbow to elbow with others. the only thing if there was anything to point out was the front entrance. it’s very crowded at the front because you got people waiting to be seated and people trying to cash out so you had to keep moving because the wait staff was also in and out of that area as well getting drinks.

this will definitely be my new breakfast/ Brunch spot!

This is going to be one of my favorites breakfast spots of all time. The food is fresh and well made. I had county fried steak and eggs. The gravey was excellent, not too gooey like it sometimes can be. There's a sprinkle of crispy bacon, nice touch. My husband had the homemade corned beef hash and eggs. He said it was some of the best he's ever had. We were going to try a cinnamon roll but my dish included pancakes so no need. Overall the portions were huge and the prices reasonable. We had excellent service from Jonna to make the entire experience top drawer! Check this place out for sure. Haven't updated in a while. Still a favorite and still excellent service and food. We've been able to try more breakfast dishes and all are excellent. Need to make a lunch visit sometime.

The very best breakfast that I have ever experienced!!!! Home made corned beef and hash, cinnamon pancakes, excellent service.... very glad we stopped here. Was a bit of a wait getting in and a bit if a wait from order to eating but so worth it. Our server never lost contact with us even though she had several tables to attend to.

What a great place in the QC! The food was delicious and the service was EXCEPTIONAL. I can't even count how many times the servers stopped by to see if we needed any more drinks, plates removed, anything else. I love the fact that each of the staff was friendly and chipped in to help each other as they were busy. Everything was great. The Mexican Skillet was fabulous, as was the Math combo (2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, and pancakes). I ordered a side of hash browns, but I quickly realized I was stuffed and needed a to go box.

I will definitely be back for lunch sometime soon. An A+ all the way around.

We had a great late lunch chicken sandwich and deluxe club. Service was great,. everything was prompt and accurate, need a meal which is reasonable in price and excellent in taste with great service in rock Island this is your choice!!!

The saga of trying all the "pancake houses" in the Quad Cities continues! After trying most of the pancake houses in Iowa, I found this location on Google maps in Rock Island. With MLK day off work, what better time to head across the river to experience more great area breakfast!

I was fortunate to park right in front of the restaurant in 4 hour parking. The exterior looks like a modern diner - plenty of windows, a big sign with the place's name, and a big awning with accompanying lights above. They advertised themselves as "home of the cinnamon roll pancakes"... I'm sure they're tasty, but I'm definitely more about savory breakfast at this point.

Upon stepping into the vestibule, I found the space full with people waiting to be seated. I checked with the server at the front and found the wait was about an hour. No issue there - pretty much everyone has the day off, so it should be a little busy. I left my name and number and went for a walk around downtown Rock Island.

Not but about 40 minutes later, they called back and I returned to be seated. I was quickly able to get my beverage and food order in and settled down to relax in my booth.

The space, overall, is very bright. The walls are mostly painted light yellow or blue, with some containing pictures of the food on offer and one sporting a large mural of the area. The lighting is a mix of 2 x 4 foot florescent lights in the drop ceiling and individual suspended fixtures mostly above the peripheral booths. Dark granite or laminate floors cover the space, providing some coloring contrast. In short, it's a well designed dining space that's as cheerful as the staff I got to converse with. I like it.

I soon had my Math Plate and sourdough toast and tucked in. No complaints about the food - the bacon was thick cut and had great texture, the sausage links were large and juicy, and the scrambled eggs were plenty fluffy and paired well with the toast. Speaking of - the sourdough toast was a $1 extra, but definitely worth it. It's the first sourdough I've had at a Quad Cities diner that I felt actually tasted noticeably like sourdough. All in all, it was a good meal!

If I lived in Rock Island I'd be here every other day for breakfast. Sadly, I'm not going to be driving over here that frequently from Bettendorf but could definitely envision driving here every so often. Thanks QC Coffee and Pancake House!

the wait was long, but worth it! people from all around the quad cities come to this amazing breakfast/brunch hotspot, and understandably so. the wait staff was incredibly helpful, the coffee was hot, and the food was delicious. the servings are Big, so bring your appetite.

This place was busy and we know why. The food was great and the menu was expansive. The portions were big and we all left full and happy. Definitely recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes.

I've been eating at this restaurant since I was a kid. My grandma and Aunt would take us out to eat for breakfast once a week. Since then, it's been a (hopefully) weekly plan for my grandma and I depending on work and school. As an adult, Sarah and Jose still surprise me with the intricacy and beauty of the dishes they provide to their customers. Not only do they make their regulars feel welcome but even brand new customers. There isn't a visit that goes by that isn't extremely wonderful from the food down to the service provided. Both Sarah and Jose take so much pride in their family-owned business and it shows with every detail.

Terrific food and service! Their skillets are amazing, as are the cinnamon roll pancakes. There’s usually a bit of a wait to get seated, but you can give them your number and they’ll call you when there’s a table ready for you.

Got the Farmers Omlette special. A bit different than the way it is done "back home" but still entirely satisfying.
