I'm a huge fan of Italian beef sandwiches, and I've had them all over Chicago. But Wiseguys' is definitely one of the best I've had in the STL-metro area. 👈🏼

👉🏼 The beef is thinly sliced and super flavorful, and the gravy is rich and savory. The French roll is perfect for soaking up all the delicious juices, and the hot giardiniera adds a nice bit of spice. I also love that Wiseguys uses all-natural ingredients and makes their giardiniera in-house. 😋

If you're looking for a truly authentic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwich, Wiseguys is the place to go.

The gyros and pitas were amazing! The chicken was well spiced and cooked, the veggies were fresh, and the gyro sauce was extremely tasty. We will definitely be going back to try other things!

We had an Italian Beef with Aujus and Chicago Polish. Both were satisfying and the meal was large quantities. The food is priced reasonably. Service was fast and personable. The restaurant lobby was clean. The owner is from Chicago. We will back again to try something else from the menu.

My sister told me about two recent enjoyable visits to Wise Guys, so I had to try it out for myself. I hadn't been inside the building in probably 18 years when I was a kid going out to eat with my grandparents at Jack in the Box. The inside got a nice face-lift, I fully expected it to be outdated. The decor is bright and the dining room is well-lit. There's an entire wall with an image of Santorini on it. Food is served on a tray with a newspaper print from the eighties. I read about the Titanic being found at the bottom of the ocean, the Berlin Wall being torn down, and ET's box office record numbers while enjoying my lunch (I hope they change those out so I can read something new on my next visit).

I enjoyed a Chicago-styled hotdog and potato skins. The hotdog was delicious, made with Vienna Beef; but the potato skins were pretty flavorless.

The cooks were very kind and hard-working, trying effortlessly to get the food cooked and served as fast as possible (a spirit I haven't seen in a fastfood restaurant in a while).

I'm excited to return and try some other menu items; like their hot sandwiches, french fries, gyros and baklava! There were three slices of baklava under a glass cover at the register that were tempting me, a very effective marketing tactic. 😉

I come here often and I always get the Italian beef with mild giardiniera.

It rivals any Italian beef sandwich you'll get in Chicago.

Everything on the Wise Guys menu is excellent. My taste buds don't lie. I highly recommend this place.

Finally a place that has authentic Chicago style hot dog! It was done just right and the fries were on point too. I will definitely be back and next time I’m looking forward to trying their gyros! What a nice addition to my community. Definitely give them a try!

I absolutely love this place! Every order is made fresh, so there is a little wait, but it doesn't bother me. The food is always on point and the proportions are huge! Haven't had anything yet I didn't like.

Great spot. Ditch the big name fast food spots and get a real sandwich at Wiseguys.

I grew up in the West Burbs. This place does a pretty good job on getting the style right. The people are nice and it’s always clean.

I try to hit up Wise Guys once a month when I'm in the area. The food is always great, the prices remain reasonable. I cannot say enough good things.

This new little place is awesome. I loved my gyro it was delicious. They are friendly and everything was hot and fresh.

I always get the Greek Salad with Gyro meat.. Amazing!!! The owner is so kind and generous!! Great food, great price, great, personal and respectful staff!!! 6 stars ,5 isn't good enough!!

First vist and it was worth the trip. I'm originally from Chicago and have been to a Wiseguys before and this store represents the brand well. Great service and food. Will be back

I came here to try their Italian beef sandwiches and the Chicago dog.

Both were very good.

The Italian beef was huge for the $7.5 price tag. Probably a 7 inch sandwich. It came with lots of flavorful roast beef and I added sweet and hot peppers for $1. Best upgrade every. This sandwich was flavorful and spicy. There were some jalapeños on it. You could have it dry or dunked. I elected for Au jus. It is pictured, although i had taken 2 bites out of the sandwich.

The Chicago dog was good. The bun was a little softer than others I have had. The dog was spot on.

The baklava looked good but I wasn’t that hungry.

I’ll have to try the gyros next time. They can out to the table next to me and it looked and smelled scrumptious.

I was so hungry I did not take a pic of my loaded baked potato before I dug into it. It was ginormous with all the buttery, cheesy, sour creamy goodness you could want. It was piping hot and delicious.
Update: Have tried the potato skins with cheddar cheese, single gyro (lots of tender meat and soft pita), and Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Fantastic!

My dinner partner and I were immediately greeted as soon as we walked into the dining area. Smiling face, good knowledge of the products and certainly exemplified great customer service. Food was top notch, hot and fresh and most assuredly going to have us coming back repeatedly. The cleanliness was attended to frequently. The temperature was just right inside the dining area, well lit, and welcoming. The soda/condiment station adequately stocked/neat/clean/organized. Great variety of drinks offered.
My Philly Cheese Steak, YUMMMM. I read in a couple different reviews where people have commented that they didn't care for the roll but Fazio's is the best restaurant bread STL has to offer and it was perfect for the Philly cheese filling, in my opinion.
I also got a wedge of baklava. It says on the menu that it is homemade. I give it a three and a half out of five stars. Seems like it was maybe refrigerated then sat in the styrofoam container while I ate dinner and then in the car for a minute before I decided to eat it. The top couple layers had softened up a little bit and kind of got soggy... that just wasn't very tasty. I'd love to get it fresh and eat it sooner rather than allowing it to sit too long. I will def try it again.

Wise Guys is a great Metro East fast food option! Chicago style beef sandwiches, hot dogs, gyros, loaded baked potatoes, salads, and a nice selection of kids meal options. Restaurant is clean and the customer service is great!

This is easily the best resteraunt in Belleville, IL. Like, everything in this city is expensive, has bad employees and is dirty. Not Wise Guys. Quality Food, affordable price, great service!!

I've never been inside, only gone through the drive-thru. The food is yummy and different than what you find at other fast food drive thru's. Definitely worth a stop.

Food was excellent. Order ahead worked well, pulled up to drive thru gave my name pulled around they double checked my order with me, and handed it all right out the window nice and hot, and right the first time.

While staying nearby, took the family to eat at wiseguys. It was definitely a wise choice. The food was GREAT!! service and prices were very good for the amount of food you get. The kiddos had the Chicago dogs, wife had the Italian beef sandwich and I had the gyro burger. Everything was on point and delicious. We will definitely come back, the friendly service and great food make it a must return.
