Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! The last time I was here I did the trails. They're a fun hike that isn't too difficult and there are benches periodically spread out through the trails. There's one area where you go up (or down) a very steep hill, so if you have balance issues, weak knees or ankles, I recommend bringing trekking poles. From this trail, there is an abandoned boat and a barge you can view. You can get to them eventually by continuing along the trail, eventually taking a left onto an unofficial trail, and then bushwhacking. Beware, the beach there sitting on is very muddy, so be prepared to get your feet wet or to view from the edge of the woods.

The rest of the park really speaks for itself. Gorgeous ocean views, thundering sounds of waves even on a calm day, view of islands off in the distance, the sound of gulls, smell of salt, a breeze (or more sometimes), and all around pleasant and calming to be at. The pond on the other side is equally beautiful, and a calm counterpart to the ocean.

In order to help maintain and preserve these parks, please be sure to pay the fees! They're cash only. I have attached an image of the current fees to this review.

This is my all time favorite park!! The trails here are well maintained, clean, beautiful and there is a great variety of lengths to them. Walking the beach was always refreshing after working up a sweat on the trails. I came here almost everyday when I was at the university of Maine at machias!

This is a small sandy and rocky beach with the most fragrant dune roses. There was plenty of parking and a beautiful picnic area across the road from the beach but little else. No trash cans, just two primitive outhouses. Cost is $4 for Maine residents and $6 per person for those of us from out of state. Payment was cash in a post on the honor system.

Beautiful beach at high and low tide. My dogs love it every time we visit! $1 for residents and $2 for visitors. You’ll see people scanning the beach at low tide for seashells. I like to decorate the entrance with the seashells I find. Not a lot of parking is the only issue.

Beautiful location. If you go farther down the road till you end up at a boat launch take the trail through the woods to find a beautiful cove.

Beautiful little park. We drove in past the park as it wasn't opened yet and we're able to watch the lobsterman ck their traps and the ferry arrive from the island. Then back to park for a walk on the sand beach. Peaceful place to spend the day.

Okay, so I didn't think much of this park at first. I was there in late October but there was a beech and a pond. But then I found the trails and went for a walk/hike. This was a wonderful and cool place to explore. The Starr trail starts at the rightmost part of the park by the statue.

There is more to the Rogue Bluffs State Park than you would imagine. On one side is the Simpson Pond where you will see kayaks and on the other side is the Rogue Bluff Beach which is a very scenic white sand beach. I like it because they have picnic tables, bathrooms and grills. Nice place to visit.

Beautiful n clean beach plus it's not overcrowded. You feel almost like you own the beach. The water is clear. I would suggest water shoes for the stones.

Who knew there's a white sand beach in northeastern Maine! Roque Bluffs is a beautiful state park perfect for hiking or kayaking. Benches and picnic tables are also available for whenever the weather permits such activities. A must see if you are in the area.

Wonderful place of beauty. I took the girls there for a swim and sunset viewing. We met with friends and prayed together at the end of the day.

Love this beach as it is close by an easily accessed. It's a mix of rocks and sand which gives it more character than a plain old white sandy beach. The beach changes with every storm. There may be more rocks or seaweed washed up but I still love it. You can find many different formations of rocks if you are a rock collector. Across the street is a parking area open on Memorial Day through the summer. You can swim in the pond and there are picnic tables and Facilities. There is also walking trails.
