The Muirs, especially Christina and Richard, are a very special and one of a kind family. They will treat you and your loved one with all their heart. The death in my family was very unexpected. From the second we got connected with Christina we were taken care of. She never missed a beat and was always more than prepared and knowledgeable about anything and everything. Christina expresses empathy instead of sympathy. She knew how to soften tough topics, and did so with such grace. Christina and Richard have created a beautiful and comforting Celebration Center. It’s cozy, inviting, spacious, and has (in my opinion) perfectly placed windows to allow for natural light to shine through.

Compared to other funeral arrangements that I’ve also participated in at other facilities (and more well known) the Muirs, have by far exceeded expectations. I never expected to be writing a review for a funeral home! Whenever Christina wasn’t around or couldn’t help, Richard was right there and JUST as helpful and kind.

Closing the casket was extremely hard, but some how I felt a little more at peace with Christina right behind me, wrapping up details, and supporting me until the very end. This woman does.not.stop. until the job is done!

Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life (Imlay City) is definitely a comforting place when there is a loss of a family member. The staff provides the understanding and comfort needed during the time of loss. Also, their compassion and guidance through the process helps make difficult decisions easier.
The funeral home is beautifully decorated giving the feeling of peace and warmth. The Sympathy Store inside the funeral home also helps provide unique gifts for the grieving family. I definitely give Muir Funeral Home the highest rating.

The Muir funeral home is one of the nicest facilities of the kind I’ve ever visited. More importantly, the staff was attentive, understanding and expressed a willingness to do whatever was necessary for our family.

They provide a very nice setting for an unpleasant situation. Very professional. The building itself is perfect, high ceilings, nice decor, open spaces and accommodating to all ceremonies including a wake. Thank you Muir.

What a great facility! We attended a visitation and luncheon for my Uncle’s funeral. Very kind staff. Plenty of space to spread out, beautiful decor and interior, clean, and more than enough parking. Our family was very comfortable here.

Although this is a sad day for my very dear friend, this place is very cozy and feels like home! Rest In Peace Gary💔now we celebrate you and your life!
