Mike's Antiquary

This lamp has been in our family for 4 generations. Mike did a beautiful job restoring it to it's original condition. It was a difficult job. We had to fabricate the aluminum support pieces. His patience and perseverance got it done. His top quality restoration will keep it in our family for generations to come. Thanks Mike.

While this is more of a picture of our 🐈 this chair was completely refurbished several years ago and we were completely thrilled with the beautiful and detailed work. We are looking at another refurbish project for you soon. 🌟🌟🌟

I worked with the owner, Jeff, to purchase a rare and beautiful safe that he had in his store. Jeff was very responsive and willing to help in any way to make the experience great, right from the beginning. He answered emails right away and he called to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately, after purchase, there was an issue that needed to be resolved. I called Jeff to discuss the issue and he went out of his way to make things right. He followed up with me for several days to keep me in the loop and to ensure that everything was still working towards my satisfaction. This is a very good, honest, and hardworking company. I highly recommend Mike's Antiquary and will be returning often to see what other treasures he has found to share with us!!

Love this antique shop - - amazing unique items that you will not see anywhere else. Family-owned - - I have had the distinct pleasure of speaking with the owner and family members. Extremely knowledgeable and obviously professional. They also do restorations and upholstery. A definite destination to put on your list!

Mike's Antiquary does OUTSTANDING work! I can not believe how wonderfully he restored my vanity with mirror!! It is breathtakingly beautiful!! He fixed damage that I did not think could be restored properly, but he sure did a superb job!! I can not even tell where the chips and water damage were in the wood. He truly must love his work, he takes his time to do the job correctly, but also with good turn around time. I would definitely use him again!!! Awesome craftsmanship!!!! I am also pretty picky. I took before and after photos and I still can not believe the improvements!!! SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent quality work done on the refurbishing and restoration was performed on antiques at a fair & reasonable price. Under competitive quotes actually and the attention to detail was exemplary. Owner has extensive knowledgeable and expertise in the industry and my satisfaction was his top priority. Beautiful finds, relics and collectibles are also in the showroom...Job well done and looking forward to doing more business with Mike's Antiquary.

I kept driving by this place when working in Imalay city, and I was curious what it was. Come to find out, Mike's Antiqury fixes old furniture.
I brought him a couple of pieces and he fixed them up great. Then I told my mom about him; and then she's been bringing him furniture to fix too.
He knows what he's talking about.
If you have peices of furniture that have sentimental value and you want it fixed, I'd definitely go here.

Mike has done a wonderful job refurbishing a very sentimental piece from my grandmother. He really knows what he is doing. I thought the cost was a little high, at first, but when I saw the finished product it was worth every penny!

I suspect this Bill Wat is fictitious. He has NOT described the Mikes Antiquary we know in Almont, Michigan. We have had many pieces refinished by Mike’s. Our standards are very high, as were his results. No complaints. Full commendations.

Nothing but high marks for this place- not only was the owner patient with my “pickiness “ , our table was refinished with perfection. There was details on my piece I didn’t even know about until I saw the finished table -very happy!!

I've driven by many times and finally had the time to stop in. I'm an avid antiquer and collector and was excited to check out a new place. While Mike's parents were very sweet and welcoming, Mike himself was rude and made me feel as though I was in the way and unwelcome. There were some neat things. Unfortunately I won't be back.

Over priced and did not do a good job at all.
He would not refund or give a break in the price.

Had them refinish my antique dinning room set and they ruined my China cabinet. They didn't put the finish I ask for on the set. They just did what ever they felt like and charged me $3,000. I should have taken them to court. Would not recomnend.

Well, perhaps I would have given this place a better review if I ever had a chance to actually go inside the place, but it's never open. Even when it's open (business hours are posted on the door after all), it's not open. Don't waste your time and gas going there.

The guy talks to you like ur an idiot and won't give you a straight answer.
