The Winchester

We had an amazing experience! There was a nearby table where a woman had a seizure, and the staff were on top of it. Calling 911, making sure the poor woman was safe, and still attending to the other patrons. You could tell that the episode weighed heavy on the hearts of the staff, and I was so touched by their compassion.
Our dining experience was lovely. I ordered the fish and chips, classic, and the drink menu was stellar. Our waitress was wonderful, and kept checking back with us and grabbing anything we needed a lot of times without being asked. Thank you for everything, I will definitely be back! P.S., The Winnie Cooper was the BEST drink!

Great atmosphere with amazing staff. I highly suggest the mushroom shawarma it can be made vegan as the naan is not vegan you will have to use pita which is slightly smaller

Every time I go here, the food is amazing. I've had burgers, the chicken sandwich, the butternut hash (which I think is a favorite of mine now--I think it's a brunch item, but it would honestly be a great staple item on the menu), and other dishes I can't remember.
The ambiance is beautiful and welcoming, and the servers I've had have always been great. Love it. Definitely a favorite.

Friendly service at the bar! The pork schnitzel special was very tasty. Nice cocktails and options on tap.

Best burger in Grand Rapids, or at least the top 5 for me. It's a great local bar and the service is always top-notch. Brussel sprouts are also quite tasty.

Such a cool place!! I've been here twice, two years apart, and each experience has been fantastic. Service is quick and intentional, food options are curated and delicious, and the vibes & decor speak for themselves. This is a cool, comfortable place to be.

Great experience. The food and specialty drinks were amazing. We ending up sitting outside in the covered patio during the snow. Great overall experience and our server was very helpful. He knew a lot about the menu and the area.

We came to the Barking Lot with our Australian Shephard and absolutely loved it. Such a genius idea and so thoughtful to patrons who want to bring their furry friends out to socialize. The astroturf, little food truck and picnic tables were situated so perfectly and it was such a relaxing, fun atmosphere.

The grilled cheese sandwiches that we ordered were so delicious and the cocktails and wine selection were perfectly curated for refreshing outdoor relaxation vibes.

I have already recommended this spot to others and can’t wait to return again myself.

Wow, the food was damn good, I usually don’t have high hope for bar food but here all the dishes I’ve tried were incredibly delicious, and I think their French Dip Sandwich was the best I had ever had. Also, I enjoyed the atmosphere of this place as well.

A very busy restaurant but the atmosphere felt very cozy and intimate. The food was delicious. I had the Banh Mi; it was much spicier than expected though. Our server was attentive and kind.

Upscale with both the price and the food to match. We ordered the Butter Chicken which wasn't bad, just not the flavor I'm used to. But the Beef & Broccoli was to die for. Immensely flavorful and it left us thinking about it for the rest of the night!

Love their weekly burger creations, but all of their food is great! The patio is one of my favorites (see pics), great ambiance and mostly shaded.

In a revitalized area with good drinking and dining options the Winchester stands out as a great bar to grab a bite, watch a game, and meet friends.

My food was good - crispy and lemony brussel sprouts, spicy deviled eggs, and a gooey melt sandwich with tender meat and tasty cheese.

I had lunch here with my God mother visiting from the metro Detroit. The place was very busy but the service was on point. There was a soft music playing in the background, which made for a great atmosphere that allowed great conversations. Food was good, I'll absolutely go back

Winchester has an aesthetic, dimly lit atmosphere with a great all seasons patio (with string lights at night!). Good food for any meal of the day. Fun date spot and also accommodating of large groups. The surrounding area makes for a nice walk. Personal favs are the naan club and burger! Pictured naan club (modified) and feature chipotle burger, so good!

I have been to Winchester on countless number of occasions with my buddies.
The place has an amazing vibe with ‘industrial modern yet classic’ interior. Their bar ambiance and service is amazing. The hosts and servers are simply amazing and so friendly. Their version of ‘old fashioned’ is amazing and I recommend that!
Oh! Their ‘butter chicken poutin’ is OUTSTANDING!! The balance of spices and cheese and fries was just fab! We even sent compliments to the kitchen and ordered the same dish twice again.

Great service , great selection of food!

Been here a couple times now and it's been amazing both times.
I had the Braised beef hash, while my girlfriend had the chicken and beignet.
Really cool heated outdoor dining area as well.

This restaurant has great atmosphere, wonderful staff, great portions, and amazing food! I will DEFINITELY return to try more food. I love their patio/outdoor dining area that has a ton of natural light and is heated. There are a ton of great surrounding businesses to walk to and check out. Add this to your list of restaurants to check out in this area.

Our server Melissa was awesome . No wait to get a table. The deep fried asparagus with the garlic aoli was tender yet crispy with a very tasty batter. The children of the gravy burger was well made and so flavorful. We really enjoyed the Duck Confit poutine. Great 1st time experience .
