Palio - Grand Rapids

The food was amazing. Best Alfredo I've had. I had the coffee amaretto drink...there is not a word to describe how delicious it was. We even got complimentary limoncello! Grant was our waiter, and he is FABULOUS!! 10+ stars 🌟

We absolutely loved this place! Everything we had was delicious! I had the salmon and gnocchi and the sauce was just amazing. The calamari was so good and the Limoncello martinis went down easy! Justin was our server and he was awesome. Ask for him if you go! I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant just north of downtown Grand Rapids. Party tried the Mezzaluna and Spaghetti (with an order of the Pane All’Aglio). Everything was fresh, cooked to order, and so delicious. Portions are large (we have enough for another meal!) Service was good, atmosphere follows the common “dim lit” Italian vibe, and they have Coke products!
Their menu features wine pairings and other cocktails. Overall, a very nice experience.

Took step daughter here for her b-day. Calamari was ok. Ordered wrong bread appetizer. Was given right one no charge. Shrimp noodle something I got was excellent. Wife's and her daughters food was dry. I enjoyed it.

Came here on a Sunday night. Our service was outstanding. Cocktails were on point and the food was delicious. We ordered calamari, Quattro formaggi and lemoncello bar. They were fabulous. Plan to come back and try the brunch next time.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious dinner this evening on our first, but not last, visit to Palio Restaurant. We had some Valentine dinner specials, which were delicious. Also, we shared a pizza, which was one of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. The waitress, Ariana, was wonderful in every regard. This is a gem in GR! Hard to beat Tuscan cooking.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! ALL the food is homemade.. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The parking is FREE, and they offer you a drink (at the end of your meal). Can it get better than this? I would definitely go back..

I'll start off by saying that this was my first time dining at Palio. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

The setting for the restaurant is semi-formal, but very comforting. Definitely a place you could wear something nice to dine, but you don't have to.

The wait staff is excellent. The waitress that attended to me for the evening, was very friendly and very knowledgeable.

The food was very delicious. The wait time from order to service was very minimal...despite being very busy in the restaurant. The food had a very good presentation. The table ordered the eggplant and salmon dishes. Followed up by a tiramisu for dessert.

The only complaint that I have is about the drinks. Not that the drinks were terrible. The drinks were very well balanced. The drinks were very delicious. The drinks are a little pricey, but honestly, they're worth it. The complaint that I'm referring to is for the bartending staff. I felt really bad for them because they were getting slammed with drink orders and they have the tiniest little area to work in. The bartender is actually mixing drinks on a shelf. It seems very odd and borderline unprofessional for them to do that or to be expected to do that. For the quality of drinks that the bartender is making, they need a proper area to make these drinks.

Aside from that, I will be returning to this restaurant. I'll be returning for dinner and or desserts and drinks.

We loved our visit to Palio today. Both meals were delicious, the salmon was perfect! If you're thirsty, the strawberry limoncello sangria was really unique and tasty.
The service was friendly and fast, and the outdoor patio is nice if the weather permits.

Palio is worlds apart from any other Italian restaurant I have visited.

Everyone is so professional and welcoming each time, without fail
2.) The food is incredible! Balanced flavors, exactly cooked to perfection.
3.) I’m not saying everyone will feel the same way, but for me, this has become, without a doubt, my favorite place to eat.

Everything they make here is from scratch! All the pasta and other dishes were some of the best Italian food I've had. I had the chicken parmesan and the piece of chicken is quite large and juicy. The pasta was to die for, the noodles were like nothing I've ever had. The tiramisu was pretty good, but their entrees, pizzas and apps are where they truly shine. Also, to top it off, they have complimentary homemade limoncello shots (21+) at the end of your dinner!

If you have a big group, make a reservation. They also have outdoor patio dining which looked quite nice!

An excellent dinner once again! We came a year ago and this experience was just as good as the last. I highly recommend eating here. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and does an excellent job.

Where to start? The food is amazing - no complaints on anything we ordered. HIGHLY recommend the calamari to start. Everything tasted SO FRESH. Great ambiance. Quick service. But the best part of our dining experience by far was our server, Ben. He was knowledgeable, personable, and kind. We visited from out of town/state, and he provided recommendations not only for our meal, but for our stay in Grand Rapids. Exemplary service - well done, Ben! We'll be back!

I was staying at the hotel next during the recent ice storm and made it down the hill for dinner. So glad I did. Rachel was very welcoming and helped when I could not decide between the carbonara and marsala. Went with the carbonara, which is served with a little flair. The orichette melted in my mouth. They were closing early but I never felt rushed, just a little sad that I could not enjoy another amazing Italian margarita. I will be back next time I am in town.

Had a 5 course Bell's Beer Pairing Dinner. It was amazing. Every dish was thoughtfully composed with passion! My favorite bite was the Expedition Stout Stew. There was lots of love in those short ribs. Fantastic service!

Jenna was an amazing server!! She was super sweet and helped us so much! She got all of our orders right and made sure we were okay many of time! I felt so welcome and loved the food! Great experience and great atmosphere!

Lots of places closed on the 4th of July but this place was open for business. Holy cow. DELICIOUS. Totally found a gem here. The service was great. Not only was he prompt, welcoming, and knowledgeable on the menu, he helped us find somewhere to see fireworks. Awesome. Everything at the restaurant is made in house AND IT SHOWS. The pasta was incredible. The food took a while but I imagine it was due to preparation. It was so good it was forgiven. They gave us a complimentary shot of limoncello to end the meal. We really enjoyed our meal here.

Palio was fantastic! No reservation needed on a Tuesday. The food was great. The culture and vibe was fun. I’m new to the gluten free lifestyle and their Cauliflower pizza was phenomenal. Great drinks and service as well. Highly recommended!

The food is excellent. So many great choices. Some of the wall seating is a bit cool in the winter.

I had Jenna as my server and she was just amazing. She was very interactive and quick with getting us everything we needed and just on top of it. She has made it so that I would like to visit this restaurant again just from the experience we had with her!
