North Shore Fisherman's Lot

So stunning! There was plenty of parking in this area and a beautiful walk by the water. It was quiet and not as crowed as the beach area. A great place to go and see the sunset

Very beautiful and well kept area. Very icy in the winter on the walk way so watch your step but the little trek is well worth the view rain, snow, or shine.

Great location to photograph the pier and lighthouse from. Usually a little less busy than the pier side, although parking can be limited. So many professional and skilled amateur photographers out here for sunsets. Look for a night with 40-70% cloud coverage, ideally at mid-to-upper levels. Even better after an evening storm. Most important, don't leave after the sun sets. Wait about 15 minutes for the sun to light up the undersides of the clouds from beneath the horizon to get an incredible light show. But even on a clear night you will get nice shots of the pier and sailboats during golden and blue hours. If your trying to get the sunset in your shot with the lighthouses, this location is better in the cold months, while other side is better in the summer due to where the sun actually sets. Also pay attention not to block somebody already set up. Cheers!

Beautiful but WAY too crowded on the 4th of July! Any other day would be perfect!

Great little parking lot to head out to the pier. Neighborhood is incredible, along with the kind people walking the pier.

A painter's sunset last night!

Great spot for boat watching and my son loved catching the big fish. Plus a bathroom!!

Great cozy nook. Be mindful of the wind when you plan to visit. A bit more of a drive to get to than the main pier, but not nearly as busy.

Great Location for Lake Michigan Sunset photos over looking Grand Haven’s Lighthouse Pier.

Beautiful and very relaxing if your on the other side from the camping area.

Right at the mouth of the Grandriver , the brown water mixing with the blue water pouring into Lake Michigan .
What a great place to pier fish or watch the sunset.
Not a bad place to take in a lunch. State park permit required and worth it, can be used at all state parks.

Free parking lot.
Couple of miles of cool houses to get to the lot.
The other side of the water is a family friendly park.

Not crowded ever and beautiful!
