This is a beautiful Lake Michigan waterfront park. You will pay for parking, and there are a good amount of steps up and down. This is a quieter beach, and there are nice bathrooms near the parking lot. I have had the pleasure of performing a few small wedding ceremonies here as well. You can not ask for a more beautiful background for photos!

This is a great, free-to-the-public beach on Lake Michigan with fantastic views and nice walking trails. Road to Perdition, my favorite movie of all time, was filmed here so it was excellent to have walked the same grounds that Tom Hanks and Jude Law walked over 20 years ago. Outstanding experience.

This beach is gorgeous. We went here in December and it was so beautiful. There are a TON of stairs and some were icy. I would recommend wearing yak trax. A lot of reviews mention it being a serious hike and not worth it. I would disagree 100%. If you are of at least average shape, you can make the stairs. Just don't bring a lot with you because obviously you'll have to carry. I can't wait to see this beach in the summer and swim here!

Great beach location. There is a $8 daily parking fee, and about 100+ stairs to get to the beach area. The stairs help keep traffic down, making it alot of times feel like your own private beach.

A 20 acre park along Lake Michigan, between Memorial Day to Labor Day an Ottawa County Parks Pass is required (envelopes and drop box are on site for a day pass if needed). During snowfall season, this park is closed to vehicle traffic as of 2022, but is always open year round to pedestrian traffic. A huge thanks to the Scouts for all the hard work and Eagle Projects done here to keep the invasive species at bay, and to help the Ottawa County Parks Department with other tasks. God bless and enjoy this great creation that the Lord has given us!

A stairway to amazing views & beach access for a few locations. Parking is 8.00 for the day, machine to pay with cash or card. The County park pass is Not the same as the state park sticker, you buy with your license. It is also good at Kirk park, North beach, & Tunnel park.
Went on a 90°Summer day, not terribly busy for a Sunday.
There are stairs to get to the beach.

There are quite a few stairs but worth the work to get to this beach! My new favorite Ottawa County beach.

Very well kept nice little park. They have some picnic table areas, public restrooms, and some walking trails. There's also some stairs I go up to a overlook with a walking trail that goes along the lake and then down to the lake. Great views.

Beautiful! Lots of stairs - but short and sweet - up and over to the beach!

This is a beautiful park. It has a very nice beach, and is very big. The only thing is you have to be willing to hike out to it. It is not far, but tons of stairs. I mean, like 200 stairs. But trust me, it is worth it.

Beautiful beach and walk out to it. 8.00 for non residents. Crushed stone hiking. Lots of stairs. About a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach from the lot. No pets allowed, sowwy.

Beautiful beach and sand bottom wading. We could walk out 60 feet and still water was chest deep or less. Lots of stairs to get to beach but we'll maintained and worth it. $8 parking pass unless you have an annual County Park pass. Good bathrooms and water bottle filling station.

Great beach that’s not too busy. I went to this beach on a 95° Saturday in June, and it still wasn’t crowded. The water was surprisingly clear and the facilities were immaculate. The only downfall is that you have to trek up and down about 300 stairs before you reach the beach. The hike isn’t too difficult, but if you have to use the restroom you have to hike all the way back to the parking area.

Absolutely love this place!! A little slice of heaven 😇 Highly recommend you pay it a visit, especially during sunset 🌅 Do note that it is unfortunately not wheel-chair accessible, and that there are several flights of stairs on the way up and down.

The road leading to Holland State park was already clogged and we decided to drive 20 min up the coast. No traffic on the back roads and we were greeted by a wide open parking lot. The white, sandy beach lies a short walk over the dunes away but the way includes a total of about 300 steps, which requires a bit of planning when going to the restroom or packing beach toys and coolers. The short drive from Holland, the lack of ice cream huts, and the distance to the restrooms make for a rather enjoyable lake experience with ample space and few visitors. Access to the water is all sand (no stones) with a sandbar 30 yards into the lake to chill shoulder-deep in the refreshing water. The swimming area is clearly marked and the beach feels extremely safe and almost private. Cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen in a public park.

Amazing find! Beautiful shoreline. Found out this is where the final scenes in the movie Road to Perdition were filmed!
Be prepared to climb stairs!

Great stop for a beach that isn’t as crowded, there are quite a few stairs to get there but it’s well worth it. Beautiful views and the beach was clean!

Love it here. Bring your walking shoes! Lots and lots and lots of stairs but the view is worth it once you get to the other side. A nice spot to Lake Michigan beach with very few people. Great place for sunsets.

A beautiful spot we nearly had to ourselves! The high water level of Lake Michigan has eaten up most of the beach, but it was still a nice place. Clean modern bathrooms. Marked swimming area.
