Hiawatha Forest

Oddly named similar to the Hiwatha Forest this smaller county park has a pleasant set of trails for trail running, hiking, or dog walking. This is just a portion of the conservation project that is looking to reclaim a unique wetland marsh that used to exist there.

Lovely trails in the woods with lots of meadowy areas. Great for a run or a stroll, low level of difficulty.

Another great Ottawa County park to hike, run or snowshoe. One of the few off-leash, dog-friendly parks in the area. Bring your furry friend and enjoy your time together. While you're there, take a few minutes to stack a stone or two...

Just some really nice natural trails. No frills, no picnic tables, no playgrounds. Just 100% forest.

I was told about this place by someone at a different park off port sheldon and I love this new walk through nature! Trails are wide,longer walk and new smells and running for my dog Sully!!

Toss is a beautiful, rustic area that's perfect for hiking and exploring. It's just busy enough to not be alone, but not so busy that you feel like you're being watched. I'm glad I found this place!

Major changes in roughly 2018 that updated the local drainage system. Big trails and wide open natural space. This is kind of a undiscovered place that mainly locals know about. Very little parking on Fillmore Street but it is a quite roadway.

Amazing place. I feel like it is a hidden treasure. I have never heard of it before. I wondered why cars parked there, but never investigated. Cool place. Nice nature walk.

This is a nice quiet trail where dogs can run off leash. My dog loves it here, so many things to explore.
