I worked with Nelson Decorating Center after I purchased a new home. I wanted to get my flooring and counter tops replaced. Nelson's was amazing when it came to assisting me through the process. I went through a loan process that needed a bit of extra paperwork on their side and they never complained about the difficulty of the process. The flooring and counter tops were installed quickly and looked wonderful. I highly recommend using them for your home needs.

If I could give it a "star" Definitely -5 stars. They take forever to get your stuff done. NOT RELIABLE AND NOT TRUSTWORTHY.

Exactly what everyone said. We literally had to *fight* with these people to get our product. Our RIGHT product. No one answers the phone and when someone does, it isn't who I need to talk to. Plus.... we paid too much (because we wanted a particular flooring) for this kind to be the service we received. It honestly took 3x longer than promised.
They would have to be the last flooring company in MN for me to use them again and even so, that is a lie. Iowa is pretty close. They having flooring companies.

I wish that I had read and heeded the one star Yelp reviews before shopping at Nelson's. My experience with Nelson's was also poor. Nelson's provided the worst customer service I have ever received, anywhere. This become a very expensive lesson in "buyer beware" and "get everything in writing first." After numerous correspondences and working with the BBB Nelson's eventually offered a partial refund. However it took months, and many calls and letters with lawyers to actually get the partial refund issued to me.
Working with their competitor was a fantastic experience.

The first appointment I had the designer was a no show. After a month, a contractor was finally sent out. Despite leaving weekly messages for the next month, neither the store nor the contractor have responded.
