Redwood Motel

The nicest staff and the cutest little place! I never really have any high expectations for a motel, but this one set the bar. Comfy clean beds, roku hookup, SMELLS SO GOOD, hot water and nice towels, and they even leave a little snack basket for you. Will be staying again if I pass by!

I pulled off the freeway to get gas and saw this place across the street. The woman that checked me in (Stacey) was very friendly and laughed at my lame jokes.
The room I was given was way past my expectations. VERY clean and modern. Easy freeway access and a friendly bar close by that serves a pretty good burger.

Very clean rooms! Owner Jane was very nice & helpful. Stacy helped us with the tv 3 times! Reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

Was new to the area just passing through decided to stay & see the area and visit the sites. The room was large, clean, & nice. They are going to remodel the whole motel. Private owned. Plenty of large soft towels. Even left snacks of all kinds for their guests in the room.

The nicest , warmest staff ! They were so helpful and responsive . Very welcoming place and right off the highway but still quiet , rooms nicely furnished as well . Great place

If 10 stars could be given, I'd give em! The owners, Jayne & Paul, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. The motel itself was very clean & quiet. Bed was comfortable, water was hot, towels were thick (not those cheap hotel towels) & several other amenities.

Working over the road and staying in over 300 hotels every year, this was the first one that truly felt like a little piece of home. The Redwood is now my go-to whenever I'm in the area again. You guys are just AWESOME!!

Great little motel. The motel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It is super quiet. The lady working the hotel as well as the owner are super friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor seating. It was very enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

This place is 100000% awesome in every way. First off the rooms are so nice with new floor beds sheets blankets everything. New fridge and microwave with nice coffee machine. Ac works great. Bed and pillows so comfortable. There are snacks and everything. And my dog is allowed to be here. The owner Jayne was super nice and inviting. Top notch customer service and informative about the area. And my big truck and trailer is good parking available. Will definitely be back every time I’m rolling through.

Don't be deceived by 1st appearance. This place is not far outside of Wall SD, the rooms are very clean and has a snack basket. The beds are very comfortable. There is no Wi-Fi but they have a frig, air conditioning and TV. I highly recommend this Motel. We stayed during the Regis motorcycle rally and did not hear motorcycles, cars or other guest.

Great little motel, stayed during my cross-country road trip. About a 10 min drive from Wall, which is the main entrance for Badlands Natl Park. Room was clean and spacious enough. Fast wifi, hot water ready instantly. They even left a little basket of snacks in the room! If I'm ever passing thru again and need a place to stay, I'll definitely stay again

The owner was so accommodating! We’re moving to another state and needed a place that would accommodate several large vehicles and dogs. The owner stayed up until we arrived and guided us to our rooms. He opened several doors and let us chose our room! Rooms are super cozy and have everything you need to prepare a meal. I’d stay here over a “fancy” hotel in the city any day!

Excellent all around. We stayed at the owner's new property Thunderheart 3 minutes down the road from Redwood. The motel is newly remodeled with careful attention to detail. (This particular room had 2 beds and a kitchenette with a small stove that even had a hood.) Clean, comfortable, great AC, great ventilation, new TV. I've stayed at 3 star hotels that weren't this nice. Owner worked with us when we needed to arrive late. Would happily stay again.

Cozy, clean, pleasant, quiet, lovely place all around! My favorite motel on my trip across the country. I would absolutely stay here again. Great room, comfy bed, adorable chairs outside. Small town, super cute and quiet. Nice owner too!

The place was very clean. Even has tile showers! Completely unexpected for such a small motel. Great price. The owner was a very nice man. I truly appreciated his great customer service. He even took my 4 year old on a quick little ride around the parking lot in his golf cart which she thought was great. I would definitely come back here anytime I'm heading this way.

I feel very lucky to have found this motel. Great price and only about 20 minutes from the Badlands National Park if that’s what you’re looking for. Nice, comfy queen size beds. The owner had the room ready for me and my three kids by the 19 mile drive to the motel. He recommended an excellent dinner place and amazing breakfast. Amazing customer service! If you stay here eat dinner at the bar and grill 2 blocks down the road and have breakfast at Red Rocks Cafe. Coffee is in the lobby when you wake up. This motel is the only place I would ever want to stay at out of all the hotels I stayed at on my 23 hour drive to Yellowstone. Excellent.

My husband and I were lucky enough to find this gem a few weeks ago on our way to Yellowstone and needed a place to stay for the night in South Dakota. Not only was this a steal compared to other motels in the area, but it also exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable and you cannot beat the price. The room is also spacious, has a newly renovated bathroom, and even has a kitchen if you wish to cook or at the very least keep drinks and food cold. It is also conveniently located 20 minutes from the Badlands, so checking that out is a must and is on the way to visit the Black Hills. Now the best part is that Terry is such a kind and wonderful man. I highly recommend the Redwood Inn and stay there again when I make it that way again. Also, get coffee at the office in the morning so you can meet Terry’s adorable dog, and it will send you on your way with a full heart. This place is a gem!!!

Awesome place to stay!! Don’t be fooled by the looks of the outside. The rooms are great and they come at a great price too! Terry and his dog are some great people! If I’m ever back in South Dakota I’ll stay here. We have stayed in hotels for the past 11 days and this was by far the cleanest, most comfortable, and best service we had for the price!
