Dickey's Barbecue Pit

We had a sudden desire for barbecue this past Saturday and good reviews with close proximity led us to Dickey’s.

We have just found our go to spot. Simple order up and seat yourself in a small yet cozy setting. We both ordered the three meat plate. Smoked turkey was wonderful, the brisket tasteful and the spicy sausage had a nice kick that came in after a bit.

The macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach sides spot on. Would say only the cornbread not at the same level as everything else.

Will be back again real soon to either repeat the same or try those menu choices that I did not try.

Wonderful place for Bar b Que, they have no chicken, or fish on the menu. Many have asked me. I can tell you the pulled pork, and the Brisket is so tender. Very nice selection of sides, it's a must-do spot-on if you are on this side of town! And they have Free Self-serve ice cream! Great experience!

I’m originally from the low country in South Carolina, since moving here I have been able to find good southern food, but wow let me tell you this was AMAZING. Only thing I’d complain about so the baked potato casserole. It wasn’t the best but I’m sure it’s better when it’s fresh.

I went there on Veterans Day because someone told me they were offering a Free Sandwich for Veterans. I went in and the gentleman who took my Order was very nice.
He got my Sandwich fixed really quick and Thanked me for my Service.
It was not a skimpy sandwich.
It was very good.

The BBQ Ribs plate was amazing!! I was so hungry I couldn't take a picture..lol but try it.. the potatoes salad!! It was good.. I'm not going to say they put they feet in it but they put their leg in it!! It was so good! I tried almost everything.

Went to this drive thru tonight and ordered a number 3. Ending up getting the best sloppy and reach around… not sure about the food since they aren’t open but great place to pull into to eat food from other places at.

The ribs fall off the bone, tender, juicy, and very favorable. My daughter loves it!!!

The BBQ is top notch. We were looking for something different here in town, while playing softball at James Brown sports park. The owner’s kindness takes the cake as he was willing to let us try anything before we ordered. It was melt in your mouth true home bbq. High recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner! It has more of a fast food feel with dine in restaurant seating.

Having lived in Texas for almost 3 decades, I'm pretty use to great BBQ. Dickeys is right up there with them. Love the store decor as well. Very laid back and friendly service. 100% Hickory smoked. The flavor is apparent in the meat. Nice variety of sauces as well. Green beans have good flavor too. Definitely recommend to try. Best BBQ, besides my own, that I've had in Indiana.

Didn't know how good....this food was! It was amazing...Only problem is...they forgot my Cabbage Slaw! Other then that 👍🏾 definitely will order again from here!

I met my old college roommate here one Friday night for dinner. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was warm, and the food was delicious! Very affordable. BBQ heaven!!!

Love this little hole in the wall. Great smoked flavor. Been driving by it for some time now. Glad I stopped in. Food is great. Portions are good size. Cream spinach.. awsome. And All the meats are great.

Easily some of the best bbq you'll find in central Indiana. Portions are good, prices are reasonable. The staff was very friendly. Went there for the first time yesterday and will definitely be back soon.

Food was amazing! mac and cheese was seasoned well & the brisket was very tender and buttery. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Great BBQ, very consistent. Had it up in Michigan recently and it was great, tried it here and was great pulled Pork.

Been to this location 3 times after finding it. I found this place for the first time in Coldwater, MI while on the way to drop my daughter off to her mother. Sadly, it closed. However, I was very excited to find one in Travers City, MI while on vacation. So I decided to search for one in Indy. The brisket is phenomenal! Wings are delicious! Ribs are great! And the Turkey and Sausage are off the hook! Young man at the front is excellent, very professional, friendly and even keeled, and respectful. The Men behind the smokers are very much so as well. And it is a very quite spot to get some amazing barbecue!

Fantastic barbecue joint! Having never been here before and being a little out of my way, I tried the large sampler they had. It came with chicken, turkey, two kinds of sausage, ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Got the baked beans and fried okra with it and boy was there no disappointment. Everything was so tender and had such a good flavor to it. The sauce was on point too, thin with a nice twang to it. If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely stop here again.

Obviously from the outside it doesn't look like much, but don't be fooled! There was 5 of us in our group and everyone had a little bit of something, and there was none left when we finished. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and quick, place was clean. Would definitely recommend

Love this place! There is a very wide menu selection and everything that I have ordered has been mouth watering good making you crave it again the very next day!!!!
